Default Newbie from Kent

Hi all,

Im Sammy 30 from Kent, gave up smoking in 2012 and put on a shocking 3 stone... considering I wasn't exactly a skinny Minnie in the first place, Im now sat here at 14 stone... honestly can not believe I have let my weight climb so much in just one year!

3 years ago, I was 16 stone and got down to 11 stone within a year before falling off the wagon... made the mistake of listening to people who said a size 14 was "normal" and I shouldn't lose anymore weight as I would look ill... size 14 at 5ft4 isn't huge but still isn't slim, I have a small frame so I should really be a size 10. For the first year I managed to keep my weight within half a stone up and down, but when I stopped smoking it just rocketed..

I need to get down to 10 stone 3lbs to be within the healthy weight bracket, so that's my first goal... so annoyed with myself for getting so close last time and giving up and piling the weight back on... but hey ho... cant focus on that, Im still 2 stone lighter then I was when I originally started.

Lets see if I can get this weight off once and for all!

Will officially weigh tomorrow and then the diet starts.

Welcome Sammy!

I'm also on a mission to reach my goal and stick to it. Twicw I've been close, twice I've gained, this time I really REALLY hope it sticks!

My ticker weight is from summer, I'm heavier than that now and want to get back there and beyond........

Together we'll succeed, this place really is fab for inspiration and support
No fads, no unattainable targets.... just me and my good choices

Daily weigh ins, planned meals, controlled treats and alcohol and a more active, positive outlook on my lifestyle. Could this finally be the recipe for success?!
