When you can start to see your actual torso shape appearing from the under the chub.

Oh and I was getting dressed the other day in front of my wardrobe mirror when I noticed a brown spot at the front/top of my thigh in the bend, I thought oh where did that come out of and then I remembered about 5 years ago seeing it, it was hidden in the crease and now is visible standing up, never been so happy to have a little spot.

i haven't achieved this yet but i'm looking forward to being able to shop with friends without needing to drag them to plus size specific shops for new jeans

You'll get there! The first time I sneaked into a trendy shop, I was terrified that nothing would fit me so I pretended I was shopping for my daughter. Now I breeze in with my head held high and no longer pretend!
