Default Do you think I could still lose 2 stone by the end of June??

At the beginning of January I set myself the goal of losing 2 stone by my little girls first birthday, which is the 26 June.

Anyway, I've been messing about & really have not lost anything, in fact gained a few more pounds. I am now back into the swing again of going to the gym twice a week and a spinning class once a week.

If I knuckle down, do you think I could still acheive my 2 stone loss be the end of June? Or am I being unrealistic? x

well june 25th is 18 weeks away today, so to lose 28lbs (2 stone) by then you would need to lose just over 1.5lbs a week, so it could be done if you really go for it

No, I'm not going to follow any particular plan. I've been on a diet on and off for so long with different slimming clubs and counting their dietry unit or counting calories that I am sick of it.

So, I am going to try and eat healthy and make good food choices, which hopefully in the long run will become a way of life, I just dont want to count dietry units for the rest of my life!! So hopefully healthy eating and me making food choices on common sense, rather than what a particular diet says is ok, will be more acheivable to keep up long term.

Also I am going to the gym twice a week and a spinning class once a week. So I made a fresh start yesterday. Went and got weighed on the scales at morrisons before going to the gym for spinning.

Are you following a particular plan? xx

Hello!

Nope, I don't think it's an unrealistic goal per se, but it may be quite ambitious, particularly if you aren't very overweight at the moment.

When I was much heavier, I found it fairly easy to lose consistently and regularly (1 - 3lbs per week), but now that I'm a healthy weight for my height (according to BMI, anyway!), I find that my weight loss has slowed down quite a lot. I suppose to maintain my rate of loss, I'd need to adjust my calories down and eat less, but that's not really something I'm prepared to do (I calorie count, and find if I try to go lower than 1,500 a day, it just feels really bleh and too restrictive, and thus difficult to stick to!). It sounds like you might have similar feelings on that, in that doing something really "diety" doesn't seem to appeal!

Doing exercise is great and will definitely help you loads, particularly if your goal is to be healthy on the inside, rather than just weigh less! So yep, definitely an achievable goal, and it sounds like you're going about it really sensibly. Best of luck!
