Default Other UK slimming clubs (non-WW)

Can anyone help me out with other slimming clubs available in most of the UK (many are M25 only). I am trying to choose something I think will suit me, and so far WW seems to be winning, but then there are lots of things about WW I don't like. I've always been a calorie counter and I've no desire to switch to points, so all their information is going to be no use to me. They charge for missed weeks. If I miss it's usually because I can't afford to go!! On the upside, their plan is clear from their website, I looked at Slimming World and Scottish Slimmers and couldn't fathom what they were advocating in terms of plan - calories? Fat grammes? No clue, lots of stuff about things being "free on green" but not a whole lot else. And nothing about whether you can get free membership on maintenance like you can with WW, that's my biggest motivation to join, I need something that will support me double with maintenance than the losing, I find losing the much, much easier part.

Are there any other physical (go along in person, not online) clubs in the UK that I don't know about, and does anyone do Slimming World or Scottish Slimmers and can let me know in outline what sort of plan they do and what they are based on, and if there is a free membership for maintenance.

Thanks.

Hi,

You could attend a weight loss challenge. You pay in advance for 12 weeks and if you want maintenance afterwards, it's free. You get meal plans and calories for each meal. Once a week you go to a meeting for 12 weeks. They also teach about the importance of water and protein. There is more you learn in the 12 weeks and the support is great as well.
