Welcome back touch my toes - swine flu isn't pleasent - I could barely eat when I had it and it was difficult not eating everything in sight afterwards. Fortunatly (?) I had it in the Summer so could fill up on salad.

I'm also wanting to eat a lot because the weatehr here is so cold, miserable and soggy I'm eating a lto of soup to help fill me up which is working. I think in your case maybe you didn't eat enough for lunch? If you'd of eaten more then planned a healthy but filling snack for the afternoon you may of avoided the "binge"? Remeber sausages are very high in calorie so try and avoid or keep your portions of them down. Also maybe if you'd of avoided the crisps you would of been stronger to resist the other stuff? I find if I have one snack like that when I'm feelign like eating everything it just makes me want to eat even more.

I also find I'm hungrier when I don't exercise. Once your strength is back may be worth starting exercising again and see if that helps. If you don't feel like goign to the gym maybe do a dvd or something at home for a while?

I do think your weight is very low for you to be feeling so bad about it - mayeb you're a small frame and that's why I don't know but I'd try not to worry too mcuh about the scales just keep anyway on what they're saying and concentrate on improving your eating and exercise habits again that way you can focus on how your body looks and feels rather than just the scales. Also rememebr after being ill your body may need more food to recover and rebuilt strength which may be why you feel like eating more too - if you can plan better to make sure you eat enough healthy food maybe that will help too.

hiya, yeah im having difficulties planning at the moment because my days are so long but you're right i did it before so confident i can do it again..i was loving the gym and the energetic feeling i had with it just need to get over the hurdle!

as for snacking i honestly dont know whats up...

when i get hungry i start to feel really faint and tired like i need to eat there and then or il topple over!its not like ive not eaten earlier or anything but i get it all the time..! strange!

swine flu knocked me for six..really poorly and the weight flew off but like ive said its here now on the old bum and thighs..

im not big really but i am curvy and given the right level of me not giving a damn it will get out of control as i get older i know it so need the preventative stuff now whilst i can do it...if that makes sense..i have large hips and curvy thighs hence my need to keep it in trim, given the opportunity my weight would go up and up and up....(as most would i guess)

im just suprised at myself if that makes sense that i can be this lazy about things and let things go so much...its unlike me and its hard to get back on it

Don't be too hard on yourself touchmytoes, you've been ill and body is just probably happy to be eating again and taking advantage of you.

Like Rainbow said maybe if you ate a bit more lunchtime and had beans and a jacket potato or something you might be able till last the afternoon without snacking.

Although i'm a fine one to talk as i'm doing Slimfast, thats how weak I am! If I start eating I wont stop so it's just easier to have the drink twice a day and forget about food althogether till teatime.

Try having a low cal hot chocolate in the afternoon if your craving something sweet. works for me!

i'm down 3lbs already this week! which makes me think i should make my target for this month lower... but i'll see how i go. i just can't wait to be under 12 stone! xx

Wow Sophie you look amazing Well done and well done on losing 50lb

THe scales don't seem to be moving much for me this week Not really suprised - a little less exercise as the girls were only back at school on Tuesday and TOM is coming and I don't get much of a loss the week after a 4 lb loss. Very pleased to be maintaining 14 and a half stones - I'm always so sucpicious os a whoosh and expect the weight to whoosh back just as quickly. Now to drink lots of water to see if I can get the scales to move by Saturday

Hi

I will definitely be joining this forum but my weigh-in isn't till Saturday morning. Given that I am very overweight and I'll (hopefully) have that initial big loss in the first week, I think it's reasonable to expect about 16lbs loss this month. So, as I prefer to round the numbers that means I'm starting on 279.5lbs (as of last Saturday) & aiming to be 263lbs by the end of the month.

Good luck everyone!

Yeah it really does. I find that the days that I pop on here are the days that I do my best in terms of eating and exercise. If I don't come on I definitely lose that bit of motivation that helps so much!

Hi Bakewell! Good luck with the big November whoosh!
