Veggie - your poor mum.
Has your Boots got the new talking scales? A friend went into her Boots today and they have scales that talk or rather shout instructions. She said their embarassing.

Well I'm a happy bunny today, my new scales may be mean but they've had to admit I've dropped half a pound since I got them on Tuesday
Will be weighing in on fridays from now on. Good luck everyone!

My God... talking scales! what next! I think i'd be embarrased too lol

I'm up for the challenge, or rather, i've had a christmas goal for a while now! 8 lbs to go until christmas now. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but i don't want to weigh any less than 10 and a half stone i think

Good luck ladies!

Count me in.

This is my first week and I'm on day 2 and weighing in at 227lbs (16st 3lbs) with 16 weeks to Christmas.

1lb a week between now and Xmas would be amazing. Maybe the dress I picked last year for the office party will fit me this year!

Hello....I joined this forum back in february whilst in full flow on my slimming world mission, but bogged down by thyroid problems. The weight loss stopped mid march, and Im now in a position, having sorted the thyroid issues, to crack on again.
Would love to join the Christmas challenge-will be nice to have some support outside of slimming world, as the class I go to is very small, and whilst the consultant is lovely, I dont really know any other members.

Week 1 Aug 27th = 0lbs lost, 18lbs to lose.
Week 2 Sept 3rd = 3lbs lost, 15lbs to lose.

Must be all the walking I did over the weekend when I went to watch Grease in London. Unfortunately,my feet are suffering with blisters. Grease however, was brill.

ok - should be doable if on pound a week! (she says - ahem!).

I am starting from scratch this week and will mostly be eating 'bloody cottage cheese' for lunch so expect my posts to get really bad tempered from now on!!

I do have of course more than 18lb to lose but if I can lose a measly pound a week up to Christmas I shall be very happy!

I am just going to go away and frighten myself now with the scales.

OMG I have just plonked myself on the scales. I have not weighed myself since July 2007 when I was 95.1 kg. Well I am now 95.6kg/15.1 stone or 210.8 pounds. EEK!

Welcome to the christmas challenge peacock.
I didn't believe my scales this morning when it showed a 3lb loss so got on them a few times and it said the same thing over and over again.

Sooo difficult to stay motivated when you're knackered and stressed, but I'm trying hard to think positive thoughts.

Welshtigger - love the pic of your horse!
peacock 2 - just remember the weight that went on last is the easiest to get off again

Good luck everyone
