Nori, I actually really enjoyed having them all small together. It was an amazing experience for me, and now that they're older I find myself actually mourning that period of time. The dynamic does change as they get older, not so much when they were toddlers. Right now we're experiencing the whole "feeling left out" thing, more so with the littlest one. My sister is preggers now and due in March and they had adopted a baby girl last year and she'll be a year on Dec 13! To say the least, she's a tad nervous. lol I also think that girls are alot harder than boys! My son is a dream, my girls no so much sometimes! lol
Kim, my girls are 10 & 12. I will definitely be asking you for advice, they drive me nuts sometimes! lol I love 'em to pieces, but my gosh, the cattiness and whining is astonishing to me! I am the oldest of 4 girls (I'm 37) and my youngest sister is just barely 17. None of us were planned, my mom claims it's cause "God knew" that she would lose her head had we been all close in age. LOL The only thing with that whole scenario....I feel like I've been playing the mom role since the age of 6! I also have a son who's 13 going on 14 next month...may ask you some pointers there too! lol Hope today is going well for you, my kids were off today as well.
Sarah, I hope you and hubby have a lovely time on your getaway!!!!! I know you'll do great with your meals!!! Glad that ds tubes are working, and good luck with the therapist.
Melissa, where are you? You can't come in here and say hi and then never be heard from again. LOL Seriously woman, come out come out wherever you are!!!
Ladies, have a terrific weekend! I hope that I'll see you guys here over the next few days, gets lonely on the weekends here! Be good and stay strong!

Good Afternoon everyone and thanks so much for the warm welcome!! Sorry didnt mean to be rude and take so long to come back (Danielle, I'd never abandon you! LOL!) Its just been one of those days. AF showed up last night and I'm just beat today. Tried to get all the finishing touches on Halloween done, I think I'm almost there. Wont it be great to be able to just go to the store and buy a costume and know that its gonna fit? Man!
I was down .2 this morning, not alot but since AF is here I'll take it!
I'll have to be back later to do personals, my dd missed the bus from her afterschool activity so I'm off to fetch her! I hope everyone had a wonderful Friday! Mine was surprisingly good considering!!

Danielle - I'm the oldest of 6 girls and 1 boy. I'm 35 and my little brother (the youngest) is 19. I just remember my Mom as so put together, organized, happy, the mom all my friends loved...she assures me that she was not all of these things all of the time...but that's how I remember it...and I compare myself to her sometimes. I love being a Mom and all, I just wish I'd started it all earlier than I did - I was 32. I do look forward to sleeping through the night, after nearly 3 years of not sleeping good! And I keep saying that I will not get pg until Melina sleeps better. She's still up 2-3 times a night. Times will change though! And everyone I talk to says they miss these days soooo much.

I am still walking everyday and wathcing what I eat!! I'm up to 50 ounces of water a day ( Which isnt' that much but for me that's ALOT!!)
So I hope that you girls are having better luck than me and have a great weekend!!

well morning ladies,
had a nice 3 day weekend with kids off on friday... my first grader has a play today so i will be attending that later. I am eating oatmeal.. not a usual breakfast food for me but needed something warm and filling for the start today! I exercised on sat.. yeah!
I sneaked a peak at the scales this am.. hope they continue downward all I will say is I was 231 last wed.. and it looks like it should be in the 220's by end of month! My goal was 226, but heck anything in the 220's is better than the thirties!
Danielle~ you can PM me anytime too.. Yes girls can be so caddy and whiny... some..most outgrow it.. tho not all.. hahaha... I do a girls day/night out.. where just us gals go out say to denny's or friendly's get a desset or a cheap movie or walk the boardwalk and get fries.. just do a gal pal thing.. mine always borrowed each others clothes.. they ended up wearing the same size for awhile.. projects or crafts can bring out the less whiny in them.. like baking together and ask the older one to help the younger one and be gracious about.. mine bicker and fight but the 9 yr old is always trying to help the 6 yr old be like a "teacher/mom" to her.. sometimes too much for the other one's liking!
Nori~How's work going? are you balancing everything ok? I want a part time job just to pay down my credit card a little..eek...this time of year I need to cut it up! I am unofficial in the 220's.. I think I am the oldest one .. tho i do not feel like it.. at 43...sssshhhh don't repeat that.. haha have a good one!
Melissa welcome!!! where are you from and have any kids?? how much to lose and are u game for the november challenge??
Mo~what is your week like this week?? still getting to the gym?? is it really helping weightloss??? you have been so good! who is in the lead so far with the challenge??
Catherine~ Hello!! How are you... good to see you..how's everything?
Sarah~ keep up the good work, we can do this....
Serena..wtg with all your efforts! yeah...
Challenge::: we need to post october's total loss for each one as of oct 31... so post here by 10/31...
New challenge... let's vote. november challenge 11/1-11/30 then we can do a dec challenge too... or 11/1-12/31..
I personally vote for november challenge and december challenge.. 4 weeks at a time seems more motivating to me but we'll vote, ok?? 1 challenge or 2....let me know...
drink that water ladies.. how much do u drink?? I drink about 50-60 oz a day and trying to do more... ok well have a great one all!! Kim

FIVE HORRIBLE GIGANTIC POUNDS IS WHAT I GAINED THIS WEEKEND! The scale said 204 this morning. It seems like a really bad joke, because this weekend we did SO much walking! If anyone's been to Gatlinburg, you know what I mean. You walk from your hotel to everything. We also did active things - toured the aquarium, shopped, and played mini golf! As for my meals, I hate my typical weekend fare. The only thing different? Since the kids were with their grandparents, I had a couple of drinks each night we were away. Do you guys think that could be the problem? I'm going to do an exercise video tonight and see if it helps. I also need to drink more water. I'm still not near 64 oz.
Nori, Danielle, and Kim - loved reading about having girls. LOL
Melissa - welcome back!
Erika - are your furbabies cats dogs?
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!! I see November as being a great month for our goals!!!!!

Monday
Hello ladies: I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm a little disgusted at myself for overeating this weekend. I had done SO good last week and then I ate a real fattening dinner Saturday night and had way too many sweets at the movies. I had a good weigh in but I know it could have been better had I not eaten all the junk. It was like slapping myself in the face after doing all that damned exercise last week!
Oh well, the big picture is what counts and for the October Challenge my total weight loss is 8.6 lbs.
Two separate challenges for November and December sound good to me, that's my vote.
Sarah: I hope you had a great time on vacation. I just saw your post and don't get upset over the gain, chances are if you gained it that fast it will come off that fast. Maybe the alcohol made you retain water, try flushing it out of your system with water.
Nori: you have a whole new motivation with your mother doing The Zone!!
Catherine: any news on the possible promotion, when will you know if you get it?
Kim: it's oatmeal for me today too, it is nice to have a warm breakfast. Last night DD was crying that DS pulled her off the couch! He's usually very good with her and I think they were both doing it to each other but she's the one who tends to end up getting hurt! Then the drama queen comes out. When she complains about him I ask her if she'd rather have one of the neighborhood boys for a brother and then I think she realizes he's not so bad after all!
Erika: you'll find plenty of things to do outside a gym to get exercise. I really enjoy walking. You could even do it with weights on your ankles and hands. Walk Away The Pounds or a walking DVD is great if you have a DVD player. Hip-Hop dance is also great exercise and fun if you can keep up!
Melissa: hope you had a good weekend and AF has left. I've waited as long as possible but I think tonight I'm going to have to buy my Halloween candy!
Weekend Summary:
Food Points: Friday 27 pts. Saturday 50 pts. Sunday: 23 pts.
Exercise: Friday: none Saturday: 45 minutes Sunday: none
I really wanted to go to the gym yesterday but I didn't have the time. I'm going to try to go every day but Tuesday this week. I would so much like to get into Onederland by next Monday but that might be setting myself up for failure?????
I'm going to update my stats now. Take care.
Mo

I'm shocked that my scale said 227.8 this am???? I was sick all weekend and hardly ate. How can I be up? It must be all this gunk in my sinuses? Oh well.

Nori: that stinks big time! Try weighing again on Wednesday. I think when we're sick our bodies act so weird, maybe you aren't going to the bathroom as regular as if you weren't sick or you're retaining fluids. You know you ate good that's whats important, the scale will see it your way in a few days. Hang in there.

Mo - WAY TO GO for the October challenge! That's fabulous!!!!! And thanks for the kind words - I'm hoping it's just some strange alcohol-induced retention, too. LOL
Nori - you poor thing!! No worries - it'll drop right off.

Hello All, May I Join?
Hi everyone. my name is Teresa. I just turned (can't believe it, lol) 49 years old. I don't feel that age though, lol. I'm married to Jim for 22 years. Have a son (30) and a daughter (28). Have 3 grandkids, 2 boys age 5 & 7 and one girl aged 8. I'm a certified nurse aid, looking for employment. I live in West Virginia. I've lost 20.8 lbs. but need to loose 50+ more. I'm currently following weight watchers flex plan. I like to collect and try out recipes, reading and gardening. Very nice to meet everyone. Have a nice week with many postive results. Here's to all of us loosing more weight or inches gone.

Hi guys! Dropping by super quick, I've got tons to do here at the moment. I hope everyone had a great weekend. For me, it went entirely too quick! LOL
Kim, yeah the catty arguements are what get to me, and they seem to escalate which is nerve wracking! lol Hoping they grow out of it sooner than later, altho I realize that potentially I have years of this ahead of me! LOL Oh well, I love 'em to death anyways. I am up for 2 challenges, seems to make me more focused in smaller incriments.
Nori, no worries the weight will drop off! I do hope you get to feeling better very soon!
Mo, congrats on the 2 pounds chicky!!!! So you had an icky weekend food wise, you've got a new week ahead of you. You can do it!! What movie did you see? Good luck with the candy! Luckily we never buy any as we're always out with the kids trick or treating so....no temptation there for me.
Sarah, you did not gain 5 pounds. You know most of that is more than likely salt and I dont know about you, but without a doubt whenever I travel (anywhere) I tend to swell and retain water. Betcha you drop it first thing! I'm so glad you guys had a great time out together!!
Erika, keep up the good work hon. Eating right and doing whatever exercise you can will certainly add up in the long run!!!
Teresa, welcome! You will love these great ladies, so full of inspiration and motivation! Congrat's on your losses so far, I know you will reach that goal in no time. There are several ladies here that follow WW so I'm sure you'll have lots to chat about! Good luck!
Alright, well hate to just "write & run" but I've got loads of laundry waiting and kids homework to help out with. Great to see you ladies here today!!!!!

Thanks girls!!
I have been going for walks... but I just can't seem to get a set schedule and it's hard for me.
I've been sick for over a week, and trying to bust through it. I'm going to the dr in the morning and hope to come back on meds for my PCOS and what is causing me to be sick.
Just wanted to tell you all that I hope your weight loss is going better than mine!!
I was at 289 and it went back up to 293....it has been at 293 for almost 3 weeks.
