Hello ladies,

The cold front came in today and burrr.... It's cold. The high is around 30 degree. Last night we had rain, but the temperature weren't below freezing. Don't know what gonna happen tonight or tomorrow morning. Did anyone see Dr. Oz on Oprah yesterday? Had some interesting things to say.

Thin - Sorry to had to get off the new BP pills. Did they give you something else to try? I'm sure having to get packed and not feeling to good isn't a good thing. Take care.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Morning all,
Quick report in. No weight loss this month, but no gains either. I guess that is something.

It's really hot here - temps constantly in the 30-35C range (90-105F) and it is always hard to exercise in that.

The country is in the grip of severe drought and we are having awful bushfires across Australia.

Thought I would attach a photo of the Family Reunion I spoke about last month or was it the month before - time does go so fast these days. That's me in the red. My DS1 and DS2 are on either end of the back row. DS2 on the left and DS1 on the right. We had a great night.

Better go, I have to do my Christmas shopping today, and write the Christmas Letter and get some cards away. I'll be back.

Good Afternoon Ladies -

Shad - What a great family photo. Your sons are cute. How old are they? They look very young. We too are in a drought here and with winter coming I tend to forget to water. We're still on a water ration so I can only water on mondays.

Believe it or not, I went and worked out yesteday morning and again today. I really feel good after my workouts. Now I really need to start focusing on the food that I eat. With the holidays coming and all the extra food that is around at work, I need to journal to remind myself of what all I have eaten.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Hope to hear from you all.

Hello Chicksters~~
Things are going pretty good here, looks like a very early start on Wed. is going to happen. I finally got the last of my results from Doc and things are good on alot of the fronts...she never can believe my Cholesterol results, and this year was no different. My total is chol. is only 144 . I always tell her that i have to have something that is good with my other problems. The mammo results were actually back too, and they were fine, so i can at least leave on the trip w/o worrying about that! We still havent' figured out the bp problem, but i guess I will have to consult w/someone else on that next year...maybe some sort of specialist.

1DAY~~ we should make a commitent to journal again. I do want to do something like the DR. Oz plan...all 'real foods' and less salt and processed stuff....and of course add the walking. I will have to start in small steps and watch the bp and pulse of course, so this is going to be slow on that side. But i really want to try to get the bp down on my own. After all most pills don't seem to be doing a very good job for me!
Great job on losing inches girl! Keep this up!

Shad~~ i agree, your sons are most handsome and youthful looking. let us know the ages. by the way,you look great in red! That is a good color to wear.

Well, got to run now, i will still be checking in and am going to commit once i'm in AZ, to a much healthier lifestyle.

Bye for now~~

My sons are 30 and 32 - soon to be 31 and 33. Gosh that makes me feel old. Thank you for the compliments. Much appreciated.

I'm back in Townsville until Christmas. Going home on the 24th and back here again on the 5th - the day after DS2's birthday.

Lizzie - I have a friend in Chino Valley in Arizona. Lovely place. I will be going to see her again next time I go to the States (hopefully next May).

Aaah well, no weight loss to report this month. Not much in the inch loss department either. This is so hard.

Better go because it is almost time to go home for the evening. I've got a bit of work to finish before I go.

Look after yourselves. I'll be back later

Hello Ladies -

Thin - I guess your on the road right now, will say a prayer that you have a safe journey. Once you get settled give us a shout and YES I will committ with you on the journaling. You know I"m still in the baby step stage, I'm doing great on the exercise but not as good on the water or food. I know eventually it will all come together, but for now, baby steps.

Shad - Wow, can't believe your sons are in their 30's, they look much younger. I know this is so hard & frustrating not losing the weight or inches, but keep in mind, your heart, bones, muscles are all benefiting from this. WE'll that's what I keep telling myself too.

Cat, Mooz, Nita & Hal - Hope to hear from you all.

Talking

Hey there chicks~~
We are in the lovely state of Colorado now. Staying w/DH's sister N of Denver. They just had that storm, so they have these small (melting now) snowbanks left to show that it was here. Supposed to be near 50 degrees now tho. Trip was snowy and a little tense for most of our first day, but we slowed down and did fine. But everywhere is colder than usual. It was like 15 below zero in Ames Iowa (with the wind chill factor) yesterday morn....a little better this morn. in Nebraska/CO area. Still cold tho...like 20 ? I think.

I have to do a few things like call my phone co. back home and have that #shut off and cancel the cell phone once we are in AZ. I guess i'm finally giving up on that cell business. they have gotten packages that are very decent with your regular phone service now(for long distance we can talk unlimited ,any day,and for the whole month it will only be 20 bucks!)
And we seem to always have to get a hard phone line whereever we go. Then the DSL can be ordered. At least in Michigan it is getting closer to us...Maybe in May it will be there. I can only hope. Anyhoo with Qwest in the valley i will have a phone and then the DSL package. I could have gotten a dish package and a cell phone too, but NO THANK YOU! Bad enough i sit in front of the computer too much i don't need to sit in front of tv that much more....

Well, I need to go help Sister in law out here and also need a nap!

Thin - I know what you mean by cold. We've had several days of pretty cold weather. Glad your able to make stops along the way to rest up and visit with family. Be careful on your trip.

Thumbs up

Hi Chicks!
Made it fine to AZ...weather was a bit nasty in New Mexico, but luckily they didn't get the snow that was predicted(one foot!--that would have closed the interstates i'm sure!)
Nice here in the day it gets to about 70. I like it like that, but of course at night you do need just a bit of heat turned on cause it gets like 35 to 40 degrees for the low. Up and down here in the desert.
Hope more chicks start posting too, 1 DAY~~ I have not given up on my quest. Please lets here from more of you...HalGal...where are U gone??
Nita?? Mooz? Missing you!

OH, 1day i really like your avatar for the holiday!

They did not have that book "you on a diet" at Costco, so CAT, i am going to try the site you mentioned in your PM. Thanks for the tip. Even if i only get the 3 books required they are all good prices!

Well, got to go check out some new areas around here, so i will stop by later on today or tomorrow to see if anyone else has any news.

bye for now

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry I have been absent again! I cannot believe how busy I have been. But at least my three-day a week therapy sessions have come to an end with excellent results.

Shad - I agree with Thin you look awesome in red. And you are so lucky to have two handsome sons! A "great" family photo. Thanks for sharing!

Thin - I am so happy you made it to Arizona. The days have been quite enjoyable and I truly like the cold evenings because then i can cover up with my comforter.

Gene has fallen two times in one week and that is not good! I am not sure where this is going, however, I let him know many more falls and I may have to find a group home for him where someone monitors him at all times. Today is our 16th Anniversary and these years have flown by.

I am still bowling and lucky for me because it truly is a stress reliever. I am also embroidering sets of hand towels for my "special" friends.

Well I had better get moving. I still have a lot to do before I go bowling.

Love to you all,
Anita

Default RE: Still here, still following WW

Hey Ladies,

I cannot believe how long it has been since I've taken a minute to post to say hello and report in. I'm busy, but so is everyone else. I am still going to WW. With that said I won't be going tomorrow due to a holiday girls lunch outing, did not go last week due to a school function with my FCCLA club, and that is a snapshot of my life.

I have been pretty good, but sometimes no so. LOL

I am working on holiday cards. I'll do my best to send on out to all that have sent me addresses!

I'll post more, and soon.
