Smile Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Hail, lies! Sunny here today, if a trifle on what Eydie was calling the "nippley" side. I've got the clothesline full and more clothes ready to go out. They seem to be drying -- I guess the air's dryish and there's a bit of a wind. Friday they'll deliver the new dryer.

The cake turned out great (according to all reports, that is ) and I did fine at dinner. Feeling hungry today, so will be extra vigilant. I did get in a walk already. My arm/shoulder isn't up to weights or yoga yet, so that's it for exercise for me today.

Ceara, a percussion workshop sounds like a blast! Sorry the thigh-master effect hurt, though. Hope it's better soon!

Anagram, I admire your preparations! It makes such a difference to how successful and enjoyable these occasions are -- esp. for the preparer!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my sweet American friends -- I am truly, madly, deeply grateful for having each and every one of you in my life!

Avanti!

hi all! it was cold, rainy, and windy here all day yesterday and through the night. i couldn't sleep much last night in fact because of the storm. it knocked out power here this morning. i am so grateful the power is back on now, and to have the heat blasting once again! i had lots of my candles burning today, and the quiet was kind of nice, but no heat was quite another story. the power company was saying it would probably be out til after 8pm, and i was glad it didn't take as long as they anticipated, though all day sure felt plenty long. my fingers are just warming up now. it was also nice to be able to have have something hot for dinner. i have to say, soup never tasted quite so good as it did a little while ago. so, i stayed op today, but since i couldn't use the stove or microwave until just a little while ago, it wasn't too hard. now, tomorrow may be a different story. actually, i plan to be diligent tomorrow because it is just too easy for me to take that first big jump in to "holiday" food, and then use that as an excuse to keep going. i am going with a friend to one of her friend's home for a thanksgiving potluck dinner in late afternoon, which should be nice.

as arabella put it so eloquently, i too am very grateful for everyone here. take care, all. happy thanksgiving.
