What a great weekend! Sunday DH went to church with me for the first time since he was a teenager and Had FUN!! I'm so proud of him.

It was the first time that the other parishioners had met DH or Deanna (14 mos). They couldn't stop talking about how cute the girls were and how well behaved they were during service.

Then we did a little archery in our back yard. Always fun.

Yesterday Amelia (my older) and I went to help someone re-organize their garage and all of the things our medieval group owns together (tents, camping gear, and a LOT of armor! Ha ha!) There were so many people helping that it was done in ten minutes and we spent the rest of the day having a barbeque party.

I told them about a funny joke that DH likes, but he wasn't there to tell it. I gave them some warning that I couldn't tell a jokes well, but when they insisted that I should tell my funny joke anyway, I did. And I was met with dead silence.

Then they put me on the "Don't let her tell any jokes" list.

Ah well. I DID warn them. I'm not as bad as SOME people on the list. At least I always remember the punch line. Ha ha! Sometimes, that's the ONLY part I remember. *giggle*

DH liked having a little time with Deanna. He doesn't get to see her as much and he had almost the entire day alone with her to play. So finally, the girls both went to bed and we got to cuddle on the couch and watch Tom and Jerry.

What a great weekend.

Amanda- Making the rest of us look bad...! LOL!

WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's Woes so let us help you with any problems today, gals!

WooHoo first day in the pool today. I know it is going to be freezing even though we have had several days of really warm weather. I am looking forward to being able to workout in the pool again as I can do a lot more for a longer time.

LeeAnn: You do enjoy stimulating television, don't you? We have DirectTV and a bazillion channels and I still hate tv. Everything is stupid reality this and reality that. I watch reruns of CSI mostly in the evenings and unfortunately, the Food Network, but I like the shows.

I just ordered a new swimsuit and coverup for our trip to Nashville the end of June. We are going to take our grandson to a water park for his birthday along with his parents. I plan on just swimming in the pool and sitting in the shade reading. I am too old and too fat to try and climb up a hundred steps and then try to plop my fat behind down on a slide. Let the rest of them have fun doing it and if T wants to play in the pool with me, that is great too.

I have to go and make the bed and bring down the basket of dirty clothes so I can go over to the pool at 8.

have a great day girls

Today's motto: ***on my way to a 4 pt day***

Hello, ladies. Things could be going better at my house. Took my dh back to hospital on Monday and he'll be there another 2-3 weeks at least. Brought him home on Tuesday. Wednesday the home health care nurse said his leg looked infected. She and I both tried calling md for 4 days with it getting worse and him not calling back. Monday she said take him to emergency. MD comes in and takes one look and says wow didn't think it was this bad. Need to get plastic surgeon to open incision, clean it out and get infection under control. I asked him is his malpractice insurace was paid up because he had neglected to return the nurse's call for days. Ended up getting an infectious disease specialist who has dh on 3 different antibiotics that are specifically compounded for what is causing the infections, his weight, history etc. by IV and they are also giving him antibiotics by mouth. He has a tube stuck into his thigh that sucks the infectious stuff out constantly. They put him into a special bed that he says is like sleeping in a raft - it's literally a rectangular box made of vinyl that is filled with air and water and every 2 hours it turns him to the other side. If the infection gets into the graft, he'll have to have his leg amputated at the hip.

His Medicaid runs out today. However, I won't have much problem coming up with bills for the spend down amount on the new claim. I sent it in so they would receive it today because they wouldn't let me file for an extension until the old one was up. You literally fill out a 16 page booklet for the application.
They won't let him come home without home health care waiting.

I have lost 5 pounds in the last week so I am not complaining, down to 150.5.

THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday so try and take a little time out for yourself today!

POINTS:

Faye

Susan: God Bless you honey! I wish there were something we all could do to help besides pray. I have you and your dh on several prayer groups and I know things will turn around for you. If you could get an affidavit from the home care nurse, I would certainly look into suing, especially if this is a doctor you HAVE to keep seeing because of insurance/Medicaid issues. I wouldn't let that jackass get away with it. I agree, what a jerk!

I worked out for 70 minutes in the pool yesterday and whoo was I sore all day. I feel better this morning so guess I will go again...

I hope everyone has a great day! Let's keep up the thoughts and prayers for Susan and her husband!

Hi everyone!
I've totally lost track of my food/exercise/water life Camping and fighting last weekend messed me up big time, and now I'm just crazy busy getting ready for my show. Next weekend it will be over, and I have the whole summer free! Well, except for writing and skating. No dance classes at all.

Lee--Sylvia authorized on Sat. and even fought in her first tourney! It was a beginner's tourney with like 8 people...she was out in 2, but did a really good job. (okay, maybe I coerced her into it...a little bit  )

Susan--I'm so sorry for all the hassles you've had to endure at the hospital--as if your husband's illness wasn't hard enough! You're in my prayers, too. Be strong.

Faye--So glad you're back in the pool! I know that's where you love to be.

Everyone else have a great day!

Julie- LOL! I know what kind of coercing that was...
"Remember how nervous you used to be about dancing? Now look at you! You can do this, too!" or else "Oh Just GO!"

oh! Something flattering last night.. Sir Wulfstan asked if I would squire to him. I told him I was already squired and he said that was good because he didn't like to see good talent wasted.

BTW fix up your weight tracker, will ya? It's been down for ages already! heh heh

Susan- We love you. Hang in there, k? My father in law is in the same boat. He's in the hospital almost more than he is at home these days.

Faye-

Hello girls!

I am doing really well - I have started on the 'slimfast' plan - a shake for breakfast & lunch and a proper dinner, plus up to 3 healthy snacks. I was just getting really disheartened with not losing any weight, despite sticking to my plan , so I've decided to do something drastic to break through this plateau. Me and my friend are both doing Slimfast - 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. She lost 9lb in her first 2 weeks, then has had a week of normal eating and has not put the weight back on which I was pleased to hear! I'm willing to try anything at this stage - she was also in the same position of not being able to lose beyond a certain weight - now she is at her lowest weight in years. We both agree that we don't think it's healthy to stick to all the time (plus it's boring), but I think the 2 on/ 2 off plan will still work. I started yesterday and boy am I hungry - but I think another good thing is that it will help me to get used to eating less! The good news is that after 1 day I've lost 2lb - so I'm really happy and am hoping for good results over the next fortnight!

FAYE - I am so pleased that you are back in that pool - 70 mins? My max is 45 and I'm absolutely knackered afterwards!

SUSAN - You poor thing, you have been treated appallingly. The thing about a malpractice suit is you have to seriously consider whether you have the personal resources and strength to take it on. Nigel went through the process of trying to sue for unfair dismissal and in the end it just made him sicker because of the stress of it all. IIn the end he decided the best thing for his health was just to let it go - not easy when you know you have been treated badly, but sometimes it's just too hard to take on the big shots! I'm not saying you shouldn't do it - just think about it long and hard first. How is your dh today? You are in my prayers and thoughts.

LEE / JULIE - Hello!

CARRI - Where are you hon, it's been too long!

Love Amanda x
