Default Drinking Our Water - support group

Hi,

Recently I've been working on drinking my water regulary, and on gradually increasing my intake (it will be a while yet before I reach my recommended number of glasses per day!). I know drinking all this water can be a challenge for many of us, and hence my idea to start a a support group.

I encourage everyone to post your water intake goals and let us know how you're doing. Suggestions on how to drink, when to drink, how to deal with bathroom going and etc. are welcome as well.

I'll go first.

My current goal is to drink at least 2 litres of water each day (approx. 8 glasses) , and to try to distribute the intake through the day, so that I don't end up having to gulp several glasses just before going to bed.

I try to drink 9 8-oz glasses per day. I do really well on weekdays (when I'm close to a restroom and the water is always within reach), but on the weekends when I'm out running around, I have a hard time getting it all in. I'm actually at 10 glasses so far for today. (That helps to make up for yesterday's 4 glasses of water.)

I do know that drinking water definitely helps lose/maintain.

The other thing I've noticed -- which I'm attributing to drinking lots of water more than to the 47 pounds I've lost -- is that I am able to deal with the heat so much more easily. We've just come off an 8 or 9-day run of 100+ degree days. A year ago that would have killed me, but this year I took it all in stride.
