SUNDAY: Today is Silly Poll Sunday and our Silly Poll this week is (thanks for idea Marsha) what is the most unusual name anywhere in your family? Can be cousins, aunt etc too.

Susan: Oh, my gosh, get the darn book so we can talk! I read the whole thing yesterday and she sure can tell a tale! You are NOT going to believe who dies. I sat and cried last night. Lots of twists and turns, but TADAAAAA I predicted several months ago who I thought the half blood prince was and I was RIGHT! I was supposed to save this book to read on the plane next month....right!

Marsha: I grew up in northwest Indiana and we had no AC, in fact, no one I knew had AC. It was for "rich" people. It sure could get miserable in the summer. I remember laying next to the window in my bedroom staring out at the street because it was too hot to sleep. I feel for you! It is so very hot and humid here our AC doesn't even shut off and we still have two fans and a ceiling fan going downstairs all day and two fans going upstairs in the bedroom at night.

Everyone have a good day. I am going to start cleaning the downstairs, then go to the pool, then put dinner in the oven then finish the house.

Silly poll: My mil's first name was Thenia, which I kind of liked and of course, there is always MY first name, which I HATE!!!!!

Oh and I forgot to tell you my latest militant fat act. I got free buffet coupons and stuff from a casino in Tunica that I needed to use so we went down there Friday night. I finished my slot play came down to where Jack was playing slots and sat at a machine across from an empty craps table. There were just the three employees, one of which was the pit boss. A cocktail waitress came up to the roulette table and asked about drinks. She was probably a size 18 and was in a black bolero jacket black short shorts and black stockings underneath. She walked away and I heard the three at the craps table start in on how fat she was and that she should be in something more appropriate and let's see what did the pit boss say more flattering or some such. The tall black woman made a comment about some employee or customer who was "this big" and stretched her hands far as they would go. Mount Faye went off!!!!! I went to the table told them I had heard them and I found them offensive, rude, and arrogant. They acted like they didn't have any idea what I was talking about. I said, "I heard you gossiping about the cocktail waitress. Who died and made you all the size Gods?" I looked at the black woman and asked her how she would like it if I walked up to my spouse and loudly talked about the skinny n*&^%$ at the craps table? I said something like, pretty rude offensive and ugly isn't it? Walked away and asked Jack to cash out and we left. I came home and e-mailed the casino saying I didn't think I would go back there is they condoned behaviour like that from their employees! We shall see what comes of it! FOR BEAUTIFUL FAT WOMEN EVERYWHERE!

Hi all,

I got 4 points yesterday. I stepped on the scales again this morning (naughty, I know!) and the dial had moved down again! It was either by another 1 or 2 lb, I couldn't see properly as I was still very bleary eyed! I'll check again tomorrow before I change my tracker. The funny thing is that it is the week before my TOM, so it is not normally a week when I lose weight as I get water retention - so that makes me even happier!

I forgot to tell you that I've finally fitted into my jeans that I bought last year, but have never worn before. At one point I couldn't get them on at all, but now they are actually getting a bit loose on the waist! I'm going to wear them to death over the next few weeks as they'll be too big soon, so I want to make the most of them!

Faye - Woo hoo to getting flirted with! You are right, black men do tend to like curvy women. We have a big Somali community in Sheffield and I know the men adore large rears! (and I mean LARGE!). Congrats on fitting into the capri's - all that swimming is slimming you down!

SCUZIN - I hear you about the free weights section at the gym - I steer well clear, all that testosterone is too much for me!

MARSHA - Enjoy your baptism! You are right - Verba is a strange name!

SILLY POLL - We don't have any really wierd names really - my sisters are called Barbie (Barbara) and Belinda and my brother is called Gavin - I like that they are not really strange, but not too common either. Oh yes, I almost forgot about my little nephews. Kai and Jaden.

Enjoy your day

Love Amanda x

Good Morning

Do middle names count? if so I think I win so far, My cousin has a son who's middle name is "Happy Dragon". I come from a long line of solid Irish names so I can't think of any others...not that I would need to...Happy Dragon takes the cake!

Cofee time!

MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our Misson this week is work on attitude. I think it is a great week to work on the weak spots in our attitude about our bodies, how we look, the perceptions we give to people. Check yourself out critically this week and see if anything you are doing is detrimental to your healthy attitude about yourself. Do you walk with your head held high or do you look down and not make eye contact? Do you look at yourself in the mirror and find disgust or do you see a person who is already beautiful just needs some improvement? All these things help to make us better weight loss winners!

Gotta go get in the pool, looks like rain

Good Monday morning to all - Yeah, the cool front went through - still in the 80's today, but much lower humidity.

Scuzin - yep, I think Happy Dragon takes the cake. Hate to ask, but, what were they thinking??? We have mainly Welsh ancestors, and so have some old Welsh names in the family. DF's grandfather's name was Othneil, father's middle name Enoch. I do like some of the old names.

Faye - good for you - I am the type of person who gets ticked, but says nothing. Middle child - hates conflict!

Amanda - congrats on the jeans. You are just having so much fun with this weight loss!

Baptism was nice yesterday - glad DF got to go with us. Claire looked so cute. The women pastor actually took her from Lisa to do the water part, then walked around the whole church to show her to the people. Surprised yesterday that DF wanted me to drive. He usually doesn't do that. Now I get to drive to Minneapolis again today. My neice on DH's side has a heart condition and needs a checkup and no one else in his whole family will drive in Minneapolis. I am starting to think I could do the drive in my sleep about now. Have to go tomorrow again - DD and her BF are going to Vegas for a couple of days and since she is in the cities for work this week, I have to drive BF up to meet her. We will probably meet at the Mall of America and get a bite to eat. It is so close to the airport - their flight doesn't leave until 9:45 tomorrow night, so they better get some dinner first.
The air is so nice here today - kind of wish I could stay home and get some things done, but that's the way it goes! Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon Girls, hope you all had a good weekend... I did I guess Me and dh were spatting all weekend over stupid crap, annoying eachother...you know how you go through those every once in a while, but we are over it
I had a great weekend diet wise, I totally stayed OP all weekend!!! Yay for me !!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so impressed with myself and dh ... he is the one that helped, I did have a weak moment where I wanted pizza and we both decided it would not be good to do that ... so together we are losing weight, of course he is losing faster, but oh well ...

The only wierd name I may have in my family is Cash ... my nephews middle name, after his great grandpa on his fathers side ,,, I always thought it odd...

Marsha - glad the baptism went well, have fun going out today.

Amanda - Great job on the pounds down, you are doing so well ... I know how it feels to finally get into those jeans ... I am wearing a pair now that I actually should not be wearing, they are still really tight and uncomfortable but I cant help but keep trying them...

Scuzin - Yes you take the cake with the odd names... Happy Dragon? That is odd, ha ha

Faye - I CANNOT believe that you have finished that whole Harry Potter book already, I have to wait until DH Finishes it before I can start reading it, so mums the word.

Hi to everyone else, gotta get back to work, it is sooooooooooo hot here today. going to be 90 again ... gotta tell ya, I could do with this summer hurrying up a little ... well have a good day all !!!

Hi all,

I got 4 points yesterday. I'm not feeling well today - I feel physically tired and mentally low which has resulted in me eating badly and having a day off from the gym. Oh well, we all have a bad day now and again. I'm also worried about my cat - he's not eaten for 2 days now and is just not himself. The thing is I have NO money and cannot afford to even get him to the PDSA (the free vets) until Wednesday, so that is making me feel more guilty and worried.

Love Amanda x

TUESDAY: Today is Target Tuesday and our target this week is PROTEIN! It is a need, but let's try and get leaner protein in our diets. We don't need the extra fat and we can still have yummy food without it! Work on your protein intake girls, builds strong bones and good rich blood!

Afternoon All ... I had a 4 pointer yesterday, actually went home and made my lazy butt exercise ... Did the one mile WATP dvd, tonight I will do the 2 mile as the 1 mile does not do a whole lot ( for me anyway ) ...

Faye - Good topic for Tuesday, I do not get near the protein that I am supposed to have, I tallied it one week and I was having like 20-30 grams per day out of the 80-90 that I am supposed to have daily ( for my body weight anyway ) ... I think that is the requirement ??

I am having a nice sinus headache today, making me want to go home from work and lay down ... I took some Advil so we will see if that works, seems to be all in the bridge of my nose and right above my eyes, ouch!!

Amanda - sorry to hear that you and your cat are feeling poorly ... hope you both get better soon!

Gonna be another hot one today, tomorrow we are supposed to have a work picnic and play volleyball, I told them "no way!" not in 91 degree weather... I will go eat and socialize but am not gonna pass out in the heat!

Julie, Marsha, Nikki, Scuzin, and Susan - Hi to one and all !!!

Talk to you all later!!

Good afternoon ladies! I wanted to get back in here this morning, but as usual I forgot and got to doing something else.

Carri: I agree! That is way too hot, especially up there, for anyone to be playing volleyball. Congrats on the 4pter! Sounds like you are again busy busy. I take it your dh is back to normal with his back now?

POINTS: Carri

Susan/VA: Hope all is going well and your dh is improving day to day. We miss you when you can't be here, but understand perfectly.

Julie: You on the other hand have no excuse! Earn money over talking to us, how dare you!!!!

Nikki: Hope things are doing well for you and you are getting the moving or not moving all sorted out.

Susan: I agree with everyone else. You win the silly poll this week. Happy Dragon? They didn't do "it" in the back of a Chinese restaurant did they?

Marsha: Good grief, what is so bad about driving in Minneapolis? They should come here. This town would scare them to death with our drivers. Or Chicago or L.A. but I think our drivers are the most dangerous. They have really bad road rage here and big time attitudes. They like to be in the far left lane then at the last minute cut in front of everyone to get off on an exit. That happens all the time. When the weather is bad, there are a bazillion accidents because people don't slow down. They drive 80-85 on the 240 loop here and most of it is 55 mph.

Amanda: Hope you and the kitty cat are feeling better. My cat has decided to "clean up" for me. We have puppy pads for our dog to go on when he can't get outside and the cat has taken to raking them all up with his paws, which when the dog poos on them, spreads that all over. It drives me nuts because he does it overnight when we are sleeping and Fortune gets up to go to the bathroom.

I guess I better scoot as Jack will be home in about 10-15 minutes or so and I need to start dinner soon

Have a good afternoon everybody!

Faye

Hi all...quick check in before bed. Haven't been to the gym in a while... #1 because I gave blood today and #2 not yesterday because I was so tired and feeling !$@! because I was locked out of my house and ended up walking across town in the middle of the night to find a place to sleep. My roommate knew my keys were there and locked up anyway AND didn't bother to call me and tell me. Grrr.
