We are a great group of ladies (but men are welcome if there are any who care to join us) who have one thing in common. We are all working together toward our goal of being healthier in our daily lifestyles and to lose weight. There are all different ages and backgrounds here and we all have different ways of losing our weight. We all love to have fun and laugh, but we also give a lot of support, encouragement and motivation for one another.

Everyone has their ups and downs and we’ll be here with you thru both! Please feel free to post with us - just jump right in and believe me, you will be welcomed with open arms. The more the merrier!

Hi guys,
Sorry I have not been able to post lately. I have been going out of town from Monday afternoon thru Friday evening doing assessments for schools with 4th, 8th and 12th graders and than I get back Friday and than go to work at H & R Block on Saturday and Sunday too. Than on Monday the whole thing starts over again. There is just enough to unpack, do some of my laundry, go to Block and than pack once again on Monday. I am tired, but this study is only going thru the 1st week of March and than it will be only H & R and by than we should be getting out of peak by than so things will slow down. I really wanted to do be able to do this study and didn't want to give up Block either so bear with me and I will have some free time again in March. YIPPEE

Anyways here goes:

Sylvia-Gosh sorry about what happened to your Dad, but at least he is feeling better now and that is good. I said a prayer for him and I can just feel the outpouring of love he has from everyone. You are such a good person Sylvia and a great daughter from what I see. You are one in a million my friend. Have a wonderful time in Mexico. I wish I could sneak into your suitcase and be with you.

Peggy-How was your weekend at your church conference? I hope it went well. Are you all recovered from the flu and the baby sitting the grand kids too? I know that it is hard sometimes to watch kids when yours are all grown up, I think we forget sometimes that we did and I wonder how I did it. HA HA Congrats on your six pound loss too.

CJ-So you have knit a whole bunch of scarves? You are the knitting queen for sure. I still treasure mine and it sure came in handy when we had that cold cold weather a while ago. Wow $1000 is a great win at the casino, you lucky dog you. I'll bet you were grinning from ear to ear. I remember when you and Dick and Ken and myself went to the casino's and you won pretty big and you were sooooo happy. LOL Miss you and when things slow down here we can connect and have a chat.

Christalynn/Christina-Welcome to our wonderful group. You are doing great on your weight loss journey with losing that 15 lbs, you must be so very proud and only 8 lbs from your goal. YOU CAN DO THIS!

Rita-Hi and so glad you have joined up with us. So did you get that storm you were taking about? I live one state over from you in Columbus, Indiana, so we are neighbors. What city in Ohio do you live in? If it is near Cincinnati we could be real neighbors.

Well time to get the heck out of Dodge and get my suitcases in the car and head for my hotel. Take care everyone. Ken and myself are going to Michigan on Friday when I get back from my schools. So I may not have time to post unless I can grab my sister in law, Chrissy's computer and who knows. It is my Dad's/Papa's 88th birthday and I don't want to miss this one. I had to miss last year as I was in Los Angeles for training for my job. Life is too short and I feel that every birthday is important when you get to be his age. For you who don't know, my Dad is in an assisted living home in Michigan and we live in Indiana and my sister in law, Chrissy looks after him there. My older brother, Jerry also lives with us, he is mentally challenged and has COPD and is on oxygen 24/7 and can not live alone so almost 4 yrs ago he came to live with us. He is doing pretty well, although we had a scare and he had another attack a few weeks ago and they wanted to put him on a ventilater or life support and I wanted to see if he turned around first and he sure did. I feel so bad when he gets those attacks, but so far so good and now Jer is going around telling everyone he almost died. Well thank goodness he didn't and are we glad of that. Hi everyone. It has been a busy weekend here...we had company arrive on Thursday night and leave yesterday. Now, just the clean-up left to do.

Sharon - So good to have you back. Take care and don't get sick working so much. We'll see you when you surface again in March, though.

Me - We had visitors for the weekend, and what a treat. One of my high school girlfriend found me about a year ago. We met in high school, and I started dating DH when we were in high school. She when out with DH's twin brother a few times, but that was all. When we went to university, she met her DH, but he was graduating the year that we started, so we only saw him that one year. Sooooo, we did not see each other for 35 years and had a lot of catching up to do. It was so good to get together again and we had a lot of fun, but didn't really do anything.

We had some car trouble this morning...starting with the car not starting, then not being able to unlock one of the doors in the cold. Sooooo, because we were late getting going, I had to ride to work in the back seat. When I got to work, DH dropped me off, I got out of the car while one of the security people was watching out the window with a funny look on his face. When I walked past him, I just said, "We're not talking this morning." and kept going. However, he stopped me because he had called me at home last week about a issue that had come up and he needed to let me know how it was resolved....when I turned around laughing...

Also got to work and found an invitation to my boss's wedding this weekend. I never really did know if he and his companion were married, but I guess I know now. We are hoping to have a lot of fun at that one...she is such a nice lady and they are a lot of fun in a social setting.

Just a quickie here ... can't sit for long - my back is out! But wanted to say hello.

Sharon:
So good to see you posting ... you take my breath away with all the coming and going you have been doing. Whew! Yes, we do need a chat time don't we. Can't wait.

Too funny about you sitting in the back seat! Hope you have a great time at your bosses wedding this weekend.

Sorry this is a short one but like I said ... can't sit for long. We had to go out yesterday and while getting in the truck I fell on the ice and made my back even worse than it was. Very miserable! Talk to you all soon.

CJ - Take care of yourself. I have back problems, too and know what you are going through. BUT, milk it for all it's worth...when else can you get special TLS?

Got some bad news this week. DM has a recurrence of breast cancer. She had it about 3 years ago and seemed to be fine. However, she went for her bi-annual mammogram last week and they have found more in her other breast. Her dr. called me and said that they were sending her to have some tests done to determine if it has metastacized. That appointment is on Monday, so we should know next week what we are dealing with.

Other than that, we are doing fine here. Way tooo busy, and a really bad time to start having car trouble. DH finally had to go rent a car this morning. We need a new alternator for one of the vehicles, but have been too busy to get it done. The other needed a new battery, so we got one this week and DH went to put it in last night. After he charged the battery, it was smoking and acting up, so he put the old battery back in. It was soooo dead, the car won't even start. I just call him Mr. Walker...

Well, must run. It's budget time here, so I have to get them done today. Have a good weekend, everyone.
