  • Good morning everyone! It's a new day! Lets try to get some good eating and some good exercise in today. Of course, I am going out to eat with a friend for lunch. AND my brother took us out to eat last night. UGHHHH. I didn't eat to bad and dessert came with my food. I took it home so not to eat it....and what did I do....I ate it later when I got home. DUMB thing to do. OH well. I went to the gym, right before going out to eat, so Hopefully, I was in high burn. Yesterday I was down somemore to exactly 198, so that was only 1.5 up. Maybe I messed it up now. I don't know. I did do a good half hour workout and my challenge yesterday. I ate ok, the rest of the day too, so I hope I'm at least even with yesterday.

Have a great day ladies. I'll check in later.
  • Good morning!! Yesterday was so hetic. I've had a busy week with kids all week. I didn't get to come here yesterday because I had 7 kids at my house all day and by night time my husband was on the computer doing his EMT course online. Well, today is the BIG day!! My appointment is at 1:30 and I can't wait.. I've been doing great with the exercising and the challenges. I was looking at my stomach last night and I couldn't believe how much it has gone down! I must say I am very happy about that. I still have a ways to go but it's a start.

Good morning Mel!! You sound so motivated. I am so happy for you. I'm sure with all the exercising you've been doing the food you ate yesterday didn't even touch you. It must of been nice to get out yesterday. I love Apple Bee's because they have alot of low carb foods. DH and I are suppose to be going there or to Red Lobster next weekend for our wedding anniversary.

Well, I better go clean a bit.. I'll be back before I leave..Hello everyone!!
  • Mel~ Thanks for the update on Penny's cousin Michelle. Our prayers are being answered! I'll continue to pray for her.

Chris~ I am soo sorry to hear about your mom and friend. I will be praying for both of them as well. You're doing great on the SBD! Maybe when I'm able to eat again I will join the rest of you too. The SBD works great for me too.

Kristin~ I am soo sorry to hear about your foot/ankle! You poor thing. I hope it heals fast. Do what the doctor ordered and enjoy your family. Have a great day!

Michelle~ You have a hot tub!? I want a hot tub in the worse way. That would also be a great way to get my kids to fall asleep at night. Tell Teagan thanks for the idea..LOL!

    Where is everyone???
  • Good morning ladies!

Flyby for me. I am exhausted today. I had a scout leader's meeting last night and afterwards I ended up staying at the other leader's house and didn't get home until almost 2 a.m. It was great though, we talked, we laughed, we planned things to come. Ohhhh the days of adult interaction, where do they go once you have kids?!? We really got to know each other better last night and we are planning a trip somewhere warm with a beach, drinks with umbrellas and a cabana boy to bring them to us! Our hubbies are going elk hunting in Colorado in October so the wives get to go somewhere and leave the kids with the men. All I can say is...... I hope no one starves to death while I'm gone LOL!!

I have a busy day today, dd preschool, scouts after school and people coming over to do their taxes tonight! Thank goodness dh is off, he can put kids to bed tonight.....hehehe (insert evil grin)!

I'll try to get back and get personal later. If not, know I am thinking of all of you and love you all.

  • Hey ladies,
I've got a busy day today with another job interview, working out, then dealing with the boys and their schedules.
I'm a little peeved - I called the SPCA yesterday to see if they were in the process of calling anyone back since last Monday when I filled out their application. The lady who answered was pretty rude, with a "don't call us, we'll call you" attitude. Grrr.. like I said, nothing ever works out. I wouldn't want to work with a person like that.

Penny - still praying for you and Michelle (and your hubby, too)

Melissa - what was the dessert?

Jeniqua - today's the day you finally get your tooth pulled, right? That is good news, I'm sure you're happy about that.

Hi, Deana. I hope you have a good (although it's hectic) day.

    See you all later.
  • Good Morning Girls!

Jeniqua, I don't have a hot tub we went to a local hotel to use their pool and hot tub. It's on the list though, Maybe we'll get on this summer We do have an above ground pool 15 feet by 46 inches deep, when we take out equity on our home we MAY have an inground put in, but not sure since we are in Montana, I'll have to talk to the pool people. Oh I just remembered lol I doubt we'll get a hot tub, when our master bath is finished we'll have a Jacuzzi tub installed and it has a heater so you don't have to keep adding water to it

Mel, don't sweat it girly!! You are always doing so great!! Anything planned for today?

    Penny, I'm praying for you!!

Deana, stop and smell the flowers girl!! I hope you get some time to yourself today

Gretchen HOW RUDE!! I woulda yelled at that woman, I hate dealing with rude people, so much in fact that I become a rude person lol. I hope the interview goes well today!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! Keep us updated!!

Nothing big planned today except going to work and I've got to get going on my research paper It's due in 2 weeks!!! I'm going to have some Kashi for breakfast and a protein shake for lunch and probably chicken for dinner. I hope to get at least 30 minutes of gazelle in today too.

    Have a great day girls!!
    Michelle
  • Good Morning,
Well its day 2 on SB. I don't feel as weird as I did yesterday. My mom says some people have headaches if their bodies are used to caffeine. I didn't have any yesterday and I had a killer headache all day. I ate my breafast this morning and feel awesome. I'm playing a mental game with myself. My kids keep trying to feed me juice and cookies and crackers. I keep telling them mommy's NOT going to eat that instead of mommy can't eat it. That way I'm not feeling like I'm being punished. Hope everyone understands what I'm getting at.

Jeniqua-You're tooth really gets to come out today? Awesome. I'll be with you mentally...I have a doctor appt. this afternoon too. I have to go to my rheumatologist at 1:30. I can't wait to see what the scale says. I know it's lower than my last time, but I want to see by how much. First things first though. I gotta get my mom to the gyno appt. this morning.

Melissa-Sometimes you just gotta say "what the heck" and nibble on the dessert. I bet it didn't even effect you. You do enough exercise to take care of that.

Michelle-Hot tub? Jacuzzi? WHen you get it put in, I'm moving to Kalispell... Kelly is sanding my walls tonight for my sewing room then he's going to paint. Next is the floor and then we put the rest in. I'm so excited for that.

Deana-Sound like you had a blast last night. I know what you mean. It is so great to talk to an adult...

Gretchen-Sorry about the rude gal! I hate that too. I'd have been like Michelle and probably have dished it out right back at her.

Well I was checking out stuff on the internet after I got home last night and from what I read, most uterine cancers are very treatable if caught in the early stages. The symptoms for the early stages seems to be where my mom is probably at so I'm a little relieved. We'll see what happens at her appt. today. If it is, she is probably looking at a full hysterectomy and some chemo...I hope that's not the case but either way, I'm glad we are finally getting her taken care of. She is such a chronic doctor avoider...the total opposite of me.
I haven't heard how my sister's friend is doing, but when I go pick up Nicole from her house...I'm going to find out. Those jerks ruined that poor girls life. If I remember correctly...she's only 24.
I better finish getting ready for the day. I'll post later. I'm sure if they do any biopsies on my mom today, it will take a couple days to get the results back. I'll let you know how it goes.

  • Morning everyone-

    I'm feeling better today!

Chris- Oh My! I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom being in pain! That doesn't necessarily mean that she has cancer, So I'm praying for her! Now the other thing...I go just crazy when I hear stuff like that. I have six girls, for pete's sake! Those poor girls, I hope that they have help! I want you to know that I'll pray for them and your mom. You must have had such a horrible night, poor you!

Michelle-OOOH, can I come over when your Jacuzzi is done!

Gretchen-well, be the better person. Rudeness is a sort of illness today. People think they can behave however they want. It usually catches up with them. Don't worry you'll get the "right" job.

Deana- I admire your truly evil plans....can I come? Please, please?
Taxes, yes, those things. I'm waiting for paperwork so I can do mine. Our is probably all going to go to tuition! Glad you had some great adult fun time last night! I call those times "mental health days". Prescription: Have occasionally to ward off insanity caused by family! Have a great day you shrinky dink!

Jenny- Today the day! The tooth comes out!!!! Jen can play! No need to pout!! Okay...I'm not exactly a poet. It's really hard to rhyme something with "out" anyway. Hope today goes good for you! You are doing really good with the challenge btw!

Kristin-how's the foot? Are you less in pain? You and Chris will do so good with the SBD. It's the motivation you've been needing! Get well quickie like!

Hi Mel- got your message! Thanks! Don't you also have evil TOM now? I think you are doing so great this week for having that! Forget the dessert! But be good today at lunch, remember we're watching you! Have a great mental health day!

Well, while I was on-line Celine got into the pantry and ate a bunch of red skin peanuts and now they are all over. I think if her teeth were stronger she would be chewing on the furniture! TTYL

  • Hi Chris!
I'm glad that you are feeling so goood today! Isn't the the psychology of just about everything...the attitude that you bring to each challenge? Those kids are still trying to give me things I don't want. I tell them, ya know, I really don't have a "taste" for that anymore. Thinking...I can really "taste" the time when I become thinner! I am anticipating it! Have a good check up. Your mom is on my mind today, don't worry.
  • Me Again!
I just wanted to tell you all to check out the success stories thread. Chaoticfish posted her success of losing 110 Lbs and she looks great! Also, she has done a splendid job of journalling her progress! Though this might give some of us a boost! BBL

  • Morning gals. Got a few appointments today..one with the specialist, one with the physical therapist. I don't need the stupid physical therapist, but its protocol, ya know. Feeling good, thumbs up on the 3rd day of South Beach! Had 2 eggs for breakfast and some cottage cheese. Gonna have a string cheese for a snack here before I get going. Haven't got the rest of the day figured out yet though. Had that Taco bake last night, REALLY GOOD!!! We loved it..next time I think we will use chicken...to mix it up a little. Tonight I think is going to be sesame green beans, asain chicken...and an oriental salad. YUM...okay so I just got dinner figured out! LOL! I am down .5 lbs already, but TOM started (*see note after this*) and I was up a few pounds, so I know the water weight is coming off too....but heck a loss, is a loss.
About TOM, he came VERY LIGHTLY, and is still super light, I am so sick of my weirdo body. Its going to make getting prego so darn difficult if it doesn't stay regular. ggrrr..sorry had to vent! LOL! My doc told me that we could "fly under the radar" with a few infertility things before my insurance company would not pay, so I might try that if by the summer we aren't "expecting". WHo knows.

Another thing I wanted to tell you all. I am loving this new book series that I started. It is the Stephanie Plum Novels by Janet Evanovich. They are just a hoot! The first one is called "One for the money" and they are up to 10 so far. I have all of them but the 10th one, and I am almost through the second. stephanie Plum is a female bounty hunter..its hilarious, serious, racy, laugh out loud and scary at the same time. The newest one "10 big ones" was just released. I can't wait to get it. Evanovich is becoming one of my favorite authors! Just thought I would let everyone know, in case they were looking for some good reads!

Okay off to snack and then Dr's. have a good day..if they mess with me too much I might not make it back down here .....stairs and fractured ankle don't mix! LMAO!

    TTYL!
  • FLY FROM ME.....Where is everyone?????????

Lunch was nice. I got a fajita and ate only one of the tortilla's. I ate the rest plain. so that wasn't too bad. I did share a shake with my friend though. Hey at least it wasn't the whole thing. I am going to get some exercise in. At least a half hour I think. BBL to check in.

Jeniqua, thinking of you and your tooth being pulled.....
  • Okay I see its a slow day on here. I got my mom's appt. out of the way this a.m. She has to go back on Tuesday. They did a biopsy on her uterus today. She barely walked out of the clinic, so I took her home and got her comfy and she took some of the painkillers they gave her yesterday. Hopefully she can at least get some rest. Today they gave her a prescription to help end her neverending TOM. And they think she's anemic from all this...so IRON, IRON, and more IRON! Tuesday they'll have her results from the biopsy and her bloodwork back. The doctor did say she is a very high risk for cancer though. Probably not what she wanted to hear but at least its treatable.

Jeniqua-How's that tooth? I'm anxious to hear how that went.

Mel-Are you exercising that shake off? I'm going to exercise in a bit. I need to unwind. I just got home and need to shake the day off first. My second day on SB has been good.

Roxy-Day 2 hasn't been bad at all. I'm actually liking it. My bad problem is this headache that won't go away. My darling children are trying to give me a cold. Such sweethearts.

Kristin-How's the ankle? I did that kind of number on my ankle on Mother's Day. I sprained it trying to run after Nicole who took off across the street. I had an air cast on for a week or two. Hopefully you're heals fast. I still got twinges of pains for a few months afterwards.

OKay...I had my rheumatologist appt. today. My bloodwork is all normal now and the C-Reactive Proteins came back in the normal range. I used to be a solid 6 (very high inflammation) down to a current .6. My nurse was impressed that I've lost weight and am exercising. He gave me alot of "good for you" and "keep up the good work". Usually in the afternoon my weight is up alot higher than the morning but even right after lunch I weighed in at 202! Well I'm going to go shut my eyes for a second to get this throbbing to quit then its back to work on cleaning this mess up.

    ~chris
  • Howdy everyone!
Jeniqua - how are you doing tonight?

Melissa - fajitas are one of my favorite foods. I love them!!!! You were good, though.

Kristin - I'm glad the SBD is working out for you!! Thanks for the book recommendation; I'm always looking for good books. I never know who is a good fiction writer. Have you read, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time"? It's a great book.

Chris - I would definitely get a headache if I didn't have any caffeine. I'm addicted to the stuff!!

Michelle - a hot tub? Woo!!! I would love to have a pool someday, but we do have an OK neighborhood pool. It's better than nothing.

Had a great workout today and a so-so interview. I'll let you know if I hear anything. Gotta go make dinner!
