Weekly weigh-in for November/2004

It's time to start a weekly weigh-in for November ... I hope some of you (or all of you) will join me. Get on that scale and "fess up" and then enjoy watching our success! WE CAN DO THIS!

I thought I would start us up for November since tomorrow is Nov 1 ... I hope I have some company here soon ... Here's my starting wt and mini goal for the month of November:

October 31, 2004 (for Nov)

Beg Wt: 184.5
Present Wt: 171
Goal for August: 160
Lbs lost this week: 0
Lbs to Nov goal: 11

OK ... time for me to get very very strict with myself! I've had a few too many "goodies" this last month ... 2 lbs up - can't have that! Worked too hard to get where I am so time to stop goofing off! I'll be back in a week to see if anyone has joined me, and to let you know how well I'm doing.

Come on guys - fess up!

Love, CJ

Count me in

Hi I am brand new to this site but need something to get me back into gear. A November Challenge will be helpful to me. I lost 25 pounds at the beginning of the year and have maintained it but need to start the scale moving!

Would love to join in

Hi everyone--

I would like to join the weekly weigh-in. My story (short): have had a reasonable weight for a long time, healthy habits, not much exercise. Had a very stressful job last year and gained 15 pounds. Joined WW in May, made goal at end of August. Started a new 1/2 time job this year (teaching middle school Language Arts), and unfortunately a few pounds crept back on.

I still go to my weekly meetings and find them helpful. I am tracking carefully and exercising more. I also stopped being mad at myself for the gain--got more into the mode of analyzing exactly why it happened so I can prevent it and stay in a maintenance mood.

My goal: Lose 3-5 pounds and KEEP THEM OFF! The accountability of a weekly check-in will definitely help me. :)

Hi everyone;

I would like to join the weekly weigh-in.. I really need the support.
I am new here, currently at 256 and hoping to reach a goal of 185 by next year this time.

The truth is, I have been through the ringer with dieting over the years and I have tried them all..
latest ... atkins, south beach, low carb,
but I have also done ww as well.

I just applied for life insurance and was told that I would have to pay more than double because of my weight.

I was embarrassed and afraid. I have a 2 1/2 year old little girl depending on me... I need the help to get started.

I brushed off my WW books last night, figured if I could lose 39 pounds on the program 7 years ago , I didn't need to pay a fortune to rejoin for new stuff now.

I am ready to get rid of my girth once and for all...

So when's our next weigh in date?

Became a Lifetime member!

I am delighted to report that I got thru the 6 weeks of maintenance (with some struggles), and became a Lifetime member at my WW meeting last Sunday. I bought myself a great hat as a reward, and have been getting lots of compliments on it.

My eating this week has been 100% under control. I think the gratification of getting to Lifetime just put me in such a great mood that it feels much easier to stay OP and make the right decisions about what I eat.

I hope all is going well with you. I will keep posting here.

Have a good weekend--
;)

CJ 11-20-2004 12:12 PM

Elana, way to go! What a wonderful accomplishment to reach your goal! Keep going strong girl. What kind of a hat did you get? I love hats - just don't like wearing them! lol

I hope you do keep posting - now you and Peggy will have to keep the rest of us going - lol.

I'm not going to weigh in until Monday - but... I have stayed OP 100% for a whole week! Hope to see a change come Monday ...

Hope everyone else is doing good!

2nd week at Lifetime: I increased my daily points to 22; lost 2 lbs. this week. I think the increased exercise made the difference--I did a bike routine with intervals (20 mins. on bike with 4 sprint intervals built in) plus weights and stretching.

Hope everyone is doing well. We will all survive Thanksgiving, and hopefully enjoy the holiday too!
