Jane, I would have to agree the hairdresser is jealous and not comfortable with herself to give praise where it belongs.
Julie, well that just sux doesn't it, I waited 53 weeks for a gyno and it took all of 10 minutes for the Dr to read my chart and schedule me one month later for surgery. This was the 3rd gyno and 4th family Dr to get the right DR to see there was a problem. And one year later I feel FANTASTIC. So as much as its horrible to wait, it could be the best well worth wait ever.
Jen, I had to run into the office today to get all the phone numbers I had written down and forgotten and once at my desk saw that I not only won 1 prize but 2 out of the 3! My soup rocks! I think Im going to try adding diced chicken breast to make it a full meal, lil more protein. This is Brandon's first surgery, and yes he has the mentallity that it will save him from alot of pain. He is in agony,,,its noticable. Caught he trying to take 4 tyenol this morning,,,I freaked and his reply, Ive been doing this for a while now...relax...RELAX? I wigged....
Talked with the DR this afternoon, and she was firm on this procedure, which Im backing 100%. And I told Brandon that she said if he doesn't do this one then she won't be doing anything with him, find a new Dr. WOW tough eh? I was so relieved she was being firm that after getting off the phone I cried fwith emotional release, Im exhausted, I cant' sleep when Im stressed, tossed and turned then had to be up at 6 to take Tan to band practise...first time we have been on time.
Anyways thats about it, need to get to bed,
night

Another day, another Dr. appt. I am feeling better after talking to the Gastro. Dr. about the chance of the cancer being invasive. The dermatologist wasn't quite as plain spoken, so I was worried. I am also having an MRI on Friday and lots of new blood work, then will go back on the 26th to get those results. Get stitches out of my back the 12th, so maybe by the end of this month I will be finsihed with Drs. until the end of Dec. We have decided to go West in Nov. and come home around Christmas for Dr. appts. and tests.
I spent today cleaning out my closet and making a pile of clothes in the spare room that I need to take to Vegas. My summer clothes have to go back and forth, I can't afford 2 wardrobes. I do have several pairs of jeans and shirts out there and enough undies, socks and p.j's that I don't have to take those. Makes it easier. We can usually get by with taking one big suitcase and a carry on. I have to put our medicines, checkbooks, and glasses in the carry on.

Julie- I was sorry to hear that the Dr. didn't give you any answers today. I know how frustrating that can be.

Jen- Not to be political here, but re: Fahrenheit 9/11...don't believe all of what you see. Remember there are 2 sides to every story and politics are a mud bath. I had heard there were some mis-representations in the film. Hope dbf enjoys going to your grandmother's BD with you.

Marti- You are getting a work out just trying to keep your employers happy. Do you mind the screwy hours? At least they will know they can count on you. I just saw an ad for hazelnut de-caf coffee. I have never had flavored types since I need de-caf. Now I want to get that as it sounds yummy.

Shanna- Get feeling better! Good luck at school. My DS has to take a huge test this month, a baby bar exam. They have to pass or keep taking it. He said he is studying night and day. I feel sorry as he is also trying to keep his business going. Thank goodness for my step-son as he is the other half of the business and picks up the slack.

Katy- Good luck with your classes also. TAP DANCE? What can't you do lady? I can't even knit or crochet but I do sew.

Mindee and Kathy- Welcome back. Computer troubles are the pits!!

Angie- My hubby is a Virgo and very organized. Also a neat/clean freak. Hope Brandon decides on the non-invasive treatment first. Good luck with that.

Jane- Thank you for the card. I got a good laugh. Hope your hair looks like you wanted it to. I have colored mine for years and do it myself. I am just now letting the color grow out and hope it is not too awful gray. My kids and DH want to see my natural color. LOL. I have decided to get it cut real short if it isn't too gray. DO you rent a car at Disney? Sounds like you will have a kitchen with all the foodstuff you are taking. And yes..you are organized!

We have had cold nights and frost. DH picked the rest of our apples yesterday and I made him a pie. Luckily I don't eat pie. (unless it is a cream pie) Tomorrow will be a house cleaning day I guess. I have the laundry all caught up, so really just need to sweep and dust. Did the bathrooms yesterday and washed rugs.
I started walking on the treadmill since my friend has gone away for 2 weeks again. I did walk with DH last night, but he walks too slow for me. Why is it harder to walk on the treadmill than outside? I do 40 or 50 minutes outside and can only do half of that on the treadmill. My legs get so shaky. Well, every little bit helps.
Goodnight and hope you all have a HAPPY HUMP DAY tomorrow.

Hello ladies…..how are you all doing?

Things have been crazy around here….but they are looking up!! We had computer problems and furnace problems. But now the computer is fixed and the furnace is getting there.

We have had some major eye opening times while we have been without the computer. Brandon is close to rolling over on his own. He will turn his body but then gets stuck at his shoulders and can’t go any more.

The main eye opener has to do with our Christmas plans. Usually, in the past, we have gone and done Tommy’s Uncle’s house on Christmas Eve, and then his Aunt’s house on Christmas Day. But Wednesday of last week Tommy asked me if I had remembered seeing a hotel (can’t remember the name) in Bad Axe, which is out by my parents house. I said “yeah…why?” He said “cause I couldn’t remember if I had seen it or not.” The next night at dinner, he told me that he was thinking about going up to my parents house for Christmas and staying in a hotel near by. I said “what about your mom? You know we won’t hear the end of it from her.” And he said “screw her. In the past we have always done things with my family, we should start doing some things with yours.” So things are definitely moving in a much better direction here.

Also, we were discussing our annual Christmas party that we have, and we are forgoing having all his family over and we are going to make it a much younger crowd. We are like I said keeping it with a younger crowd….AND we are inviting my family! And of course some of our friends….but it will be more enjoyable then having his family over here!

Kathy~ Welcome to the group!!

Jana~ Yup….I did a good one on the hard drive. The furnace is pretty much fixed, the guy just has to come out one more time for a minor fix and we are good to go. At least we have heat now!

Shanna~ I hope things get better and you get better soon! Keep your chin up girlie!!

Angie~ I have no problems keeping Brandon warm at night. I would put him in his warmest pajamas and then put him under two blankets. Which at sometime during the night he would kick of the two blankets but leave one leg still under them.

Sue (talks)~ thanks for the welcome back! My hours seemed to have changed now that Brandon is older. I used to sneak on while he would nap. But those are coming less and less now. So the only time I can get on here is when he is down for the night and so is my hubby. Which is usually around midnight. Then I get on here for a couple of hours, and that takes me to when my hubby is getting up for work, and then I head to bed.

Real quickly there are some new pictures up on his webpage! Feel free to go and check them out!

Good morning, ladies!

Let's see.. who's been here since I last checked in.....

Julie - these docs sometimes can really aggravate the patients! My BIL, who has terminal cancer, had an appt. in Indy with a specialist to find out what was what with his cancer, and he and my sis waited for this appt. with bated breath, all nervous and scared. The doc says... "well, I haven't had a chance to review your chart... come back in two weeks!" So sorry this happened to you and dbf!

Jen - lol, I knew the peek-a-boo scenario wasn't your style... I was just telling you what *I* do!! Hope you have fun this weekend with the fam and dbf. Are you loving these temps as much as I am?

Angie - (((more hugs))) bless you, hon, for having to go through all this stress. Maybe Brandon will listen now that the doc has spoken. I can see Bran's point, too. He just wants it over....

Sue - hope all your medical tests come back ok. No car needed at Disney. We always stay right on site, and take the bus, monorail or boat to wherever we want to go. Buses come every 15 minutes to the front of the resort for each park. This time we're staying at the new Pop Century, at the 60's building, right near the Hippy Dippy Pool, lol. Glad you like your birthday card... sorry it's a couple of days early, but I guess that's better than too late. Btw, yes, a treadmill is harder to walk on than walking outdoors. No strolling or stopping at the corner, lol.

Mindee - Christmas is right around the corner! Just last night I bought two Fisher Price Fun Sounds Playground sets.($14.97 at Walmart) One for Macy, and 1 for Caylin. This year, I'm buying only 1 present per person (except Katie, who still lives at home) and then we're giving money for the rest of their Christmas. I know the grown kids and their families would love to have all that extra cash to go have fun with after Christmas, and I don't want to do all that shopping, lol. Works out great for everyone, lol.

Thank you guys for your insight on the hair stylist - that's what Mary said, too! It makes me sad that she did that, though. I thought she would be very happy for me. I have ALWAYS been so excited for anyone who managed to lose weight, no matter what size I am!

The temp was 39 when I got up today, and is still in the low 40's. Brrrrr. But it's gonna warm up as the day goes on.

BBL,

(I had this all typed up this morning at 7:00 and then I noticed that it wasn't going to post.....luckily I was able to copy before I got kicked out! So here is what I typed earlier....)

Good Morning ladies--

I don't have to be at work until 6:00 tonight (unless they call of coarse) and I will probably nap later on, but right now, I'm just not tired! (well, maybe a little.....)

Dear Katy: I'm 33 and married to a wonderful husband. My life is perfect in every way but one........I'm fat and feel undesirable, but can't stay away from the cookies and cakes....what should I do? thought I'd give you a taste of what being Dear Abby is all about! I really like yoga too....seems very close to pilates and I love pilates. I haven't done them in awhile....should start soon!

Jane--Well how rude of your stylist to not say anything. But I have to agree w/the others, she was probably jealous and just chose not to say anything. If she had, it may not have sounded genuine and you may have heard the resentment in her voice.....even though I think that would have inspired her to do something too. I'm so glad that your nephew DID comment! That should be put in your NSV list!

Julie--Sorry you're going through a tough time w/the doctors not looking at your records before hand. And they get paid for this?! Always has me wondering! The only doctor who I have dealt w/that was prompt, never kept me waiting and always was on top of things....was my surgeon who brought my "girls" into my life! I hope things get better and figured out soon for ya!

Jen--Have fun celebrating your grandma's birthday w/your family. And I hope your DBF enjoys himself too and gets to know more of your mom. We don't see my parents that often either. They live only an hour away if that, but their schedules are never in sync with mine.......at least when I call they're always "busy"

Angie--Time to hide all the medication until the day arrives. How old is he again?? Still needs his mama to tell him whats best! Got Tanners' pictures and I have to say......he looks so much like you! I can see the resemblance! Are those recent pictures?? And why wasn't there one of you in there???

Sue--Since I'm new and I've only been doing one thing for the last couple weeks, I figured that coming in will be good. Today though, I want to at least get my hair done before they call IF they do! The schedule doesn't bother me, as long as it's the same all week....this switching everyday is what's hard.

Mindee--Every year for Christmas Eve we go to my grandparents. This will be the first year w/out my grandmother and it will be hard. But it's a tradition that no one wants to stop.....we just have to do more of the decorating for my grandpa since my grandma did all that stuff. I hope you end up having fun no matter where you all decide to go. Can't believe Christmas is coming up so soon!!

Good Morning to the rest of the ladies here!!

Ok...I'm going to shower, read the paper, and wait for the time to go by so I can make an appointment to get my hair cut.

You all have a wonderful day.

Hello again ladies--

I thought I would pop in real quick before getting ready for work. I TRIED to get a nap, but the dogs kept barking and barking and I finally gave up! So it's going to be a loooonnngg night! I won't get off until 2:30 and should be home a little before 3:00......I should sleep like a log tonight!

Got my hair trimmed. That's all I needed, but it made a big difference.....used the razor a little to give it a little flip in the back and in my bangs. Cute. But I still like the short due. Some day I may go back. Want to try and let it grow a bit longer before I decide.

Anyway...not many popping in today, hope you're all enjoying your Wednesday!

Talk to you all later.

Back for just a minute...

Marti - it's amazing how much better we feel when our hair looks nice, isn't it?

Not sure when I'll be in tomorrow, so I wanted to say:

Happy Birthday, Sue!!

Hope you have a wonderful day - any special plans?

Oh man, I just had a long post with individuals to everyone and I pushed the wrong button on my keyboard and WHAMMO, gone! Crud! I guess here's the brief version...

Work went well today, busy, but good busy, and not too stressful. I like that!

Skipped breakfast today, had a migraine. Didn't have time for a lunch, case conferences, so I get to have a snack tonight while I watch CSI NY!

Marti - It's hard to try to sleep during the day, especially at first. Are your regular hours going to be 6p-230a? I've worked the 11p-7a and 7p-7a before. Summer is always the hardest.

Jane - Yes, I love this weather. Wonderful days and cool nights. Great for sleeping! How are you going to adjust to FL weather???

Sue - I went into the movie thinking 50% true, and it's still gut renching for me. But anywho...Glad your gastro was easier to talk to and understand. It's going to be hard to wait for the test results until the 26th? Can you call your doc ahead of time?

Angie - Glad the soup was THAT good. I haven't tried that one, I found it in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago, but now I have to make it! I would be worried about Brandon taking too much tylenol. How much in 24 hrs? It can be toxic to your liver. Does his doc know???

Well, that's about it in a nutshell. I have to go rest, and snack, and watch the TV before bed!

Thanks Jane. We plan to go out to eat with my DD at lunch. Have a margarita or two. That is probably it. I have already gotten several cards and will hear from the other kids tomorrow I am sure.
Today we went out driving and looking at lots. Paid some bills and came home. Then I made some calls about lots and we went out again. I told DH it seemed like a Sunday drive when I was a kid. All over the country. And we found some areas we had not known about. So far we have not found THE ONE that grabs us, but a few that we like somewhat. Had hoped to buy a lot before we go west for the winter, but looks like we might not get one until Spring now. We want to build next Fall. DD and her hubby are building this Fall, so we wanted to wait until they get done. It's a conundrum.

My back is feeling much better except it itches. A good sign I guess, but I can't scratch it. ugh!

DH finished the walnut entertainment center for his sister and it is beautiful. I can't wait to see her face when we deliver it.

Have a good Thursday JL's.

Jana~ I think that we are going to start our shopping soon. That way we can get it done little by little. And it will come in handy when Tommy gets his license back in December, long story about that, and then we can hopefully finish it all up then. I can’t believe how fast this year has gone, and is going. I remember when I first found out I was pregnant with Brandon, now we are closing in on the home stretch to his first birthday!

Marti~ Since we have been together, we have done things mainly with his family. I have grinned and bared it for too long. And finally when things all blew up with his mom and sister, I think my hubby finally realized all that I have basically given up during the past five years. Granted it seemed much easier because my parents live 2 ½ hours away from us, but it will make for a good time. Since I won’t have to listen to his mom constantly comparing her grandchildren to each other. I can’t believe that we are fastly closing in on Brandon’s first Halloween. (BTW, my sister has his costume done, and hopefully we will get it this coming weekend. We are planning to get together.)

Sue~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Hello Ladies
All went well today, we even got in to surgery earlier then was told. Brandon is in alot of pain but doing a biopsy with the bones I guess would be pretty painful. It was cute seeing Brandon in a bed/crib...lol This was done at the children's Hospital and well they don't get many 6"2 children in there. I laughed this one nurse called Brandon's name and when he was walking up to her she was trying to look around him for the lil guy, and was shocked to see him, she laughed and said she thought he was one of the dads and not the lil guy she was expecting.

So in 4 weeks we go see the Dr to find out the results of everything.
Well even though its 9 pm Im fried and going to bed....night all
