Default Watermelons

Susan and other melon lovers,

Here is a photo I took from my bedroom window this morning. It is a pic of the melons that didn't make it to harvest. The vines died before these guys got big enough to pick and the melons are turning pale. Anyway, when I said they were right out my back door, I meant it, lol. I would have shared the good ones with you if I could!! Cantaloupes were right across the street....

Cool Jana, but I am not seeing any. Are they the white dots/spots in the pic??? I think I was looking for some big green ones.

Yep, they are the white dots. The big green ones made it to grocery stores across the USA. I was trying to show just how close they are.

jana that is neat that you have such an open view and the watermelons are neat too. when i go out on my front porch(or back porch) there are huge mountains all the way around me.LOL i live in the foot hills of WV. when the trees start changing in the autumn it is phenomenal. thats why i named my daughters twin autumn skye cause the day that she died, the sky was crystal blue, not a cloud in sight and the leaves were just at their peak. anyway, you do have a gorgeous view. thanks for sharing.

So Jana, are they edible? Or will they just waste away in the watermelon graveyard? So cool though that you guys grow your own fruit and veggies and yes, it is a nice view!

TJ~so sorry to hear about your precious baby girl, but what a BEAUTIFUL name! I have always liked the name Autumn. My heart goes out to you.
