Sher, hopefully it will be an allergy, but I agree with Shelley, get to the doc!!!!!! EEEEWWWW...it could of been lice! Wasn't that just going around a few weeks ago?

Shelley, did you decide what to do with the girls? Liz is fine, back to acting like a total teenager. She just got her car back out of the shop a few days ago. Allison is counting down days until school starts. Yep...she's 5, she still believes school will be fun!

I went to get my hair done today and also went to another salon and had a set of acrylic nails put on. All of you girls wearing tips, do you keep yours sheer or do you use the darker polishes? Summer use to be for sheers, but now I think both are currently in style. I went fairly short, square tip and sheer. I picked up a bottle of deep shimmer red called " Vould U like a lick?" seriously, that is the name!
what do you guys pay for refills? Also do you tip and how much? I don't want to look like a scrooge. I usually tip my stylist $5.00 for my haircut, today I tipped the nail tech. $5.00 also.

NOT STAYING OP!!!!!!!! ARGGGG!!!!!!!! I simply can not get my act together for anymore then a few days.

Gayle-I'm so sorry!! I keep thinking that Allison was the one in the accident. I decided to just let the girls go to different schools, and we all will just have to deal with it. You will get back OP when you are ready. Look how long it took me to get my you know what back together!!

I have been straightening my hair with a ceramic iron that Patty bought. Some people say I look older, and some say younger, so I'm not sure. But anyway, it's a change once in awhile. I tried posting a picture, but it kept denying it saying it is too large no matter how small I make it.

Shelley...or was it Sherry? All these "S" names...I can never keep 'em straight! Anyhow, whoever was asking, our students' last day of school is officially May 21, but it's a 60% day so most of them won't even show up that day.

It's not looking good for the job. Apparently, the current librarian has decided to take her Praxis test in June, which shows "reasonable progress" towards permanent certification. I talked to my principal today, and there's a lot of stuff he couldn't tell me, but he did tell me that the superindendant and the curriculum specialist LOVED my ideas for the library. Unfortunately, they're lawsuit shy, I think. The woman who's the librarian now used to teach at the high school, but her contract wasn't renewed. The principal over there, however, didn't follow procedures and she threatened to sue the school district. They settled by giving her the job in our library.

If I'm in the classroom again, that's fine. My biggest fear is that I will plan for being in a classroom and find myself in the library two weeks before school starts or (even worse) vice-versa!

Hi

Well it looks like it wasn't pink eye afterall. My eyes were matted this morning but cleared up quickly and were never red. I guess if it would have been pink eye it would be better then having lice! I guess it was allergies but I've never had problems with that!

Gayle,
I bet your nails look great! Where I go they charge $25.00 for a full set and $15.00 for a fill in. I ususally tip between $3.00-$5.00. In the summer I like either red or french. I also get mine done square-round.I think they look more natural. Think about that when you have your fill-in done in 2 weeks.

Jennelle,
If you have to go back to the classroom I think you'll be just as happy since you're a good teacher. But as you said, they will probably tell you that you have the librarian job 2 weeks before school starts. That's how our school works! The kids get out 1/2 day on May 20th...We get out the 21st.

Tina,
Speaking of school, Do you miss it? Do you think you will go back? BTW: Mom & Dads new house is in Franklin KY. It's so pretty there way out in the country.

Debbie,
Did your Mom come home today? Were you able to go over and clean her house? You're such a good Daughter and I know how much your Parents appricate all you do for them. CONGRATS on the 22 inches gone forever!!! You are doing awesome!!!!!!!!

Carol,
How's your Mom today? Did you stay OP again today? Remember when you get off plan, shake it off and go right back to it either on the next meal or the next day. You can do it!!!!!!!!

Ramona,
How's your Mom today? Did you get to meet with someone from hospice yet? According to Gayle, you will love them. They do so much for the family. Please keep us posted over the weekend if you can on an update on her. Have you talked to either boys?

Shelley,
I bet your hair looks great straight!! If you want, send me the picture and I will post it for you...ok? I would love to see it! My hair is so curly I would love to try it. What exactly is a ceramic iron?

Cheryl,
Did you stay OP today? Like I told Carol, If you get off track, don't get down on yourself. Just brush yourself off and keep going. It's a hard battle but we can do it!!!!!

Dee,
How do you feel? Have you talked to the surgeon yet? I'm really worried about you girl. Please try to post a quickie and tell us how you are. I love you!!

Vicki,
How's your Mom? Are you going this weekend and see her? If all falls right, this summer one weekend, Debbie, James, Wayne & I are coming to KY Kingdom for a weekend. We will stay in one of those motels where you get the park tickets too. Would love to meet with you!!!!!

DONI........WHERE ARE YOU HON????????

Going to the tanning bed....Will check in later to see if there's any posts!!! (hint-hint)

Love & Hugs!!!

Debbie lost 22 inches? I must of missed that somewhere along the linne. GREAT JOB DEB!!!!

Sher, they charge $24.00 for the set and $14.00 for fills. So I guess a $3.00 tip on fills would be reasonable? I had acrylics one other time, but with yardwork and everything else, I let them go. This time I'm going to try and keep them up.

Shelley, I wwanna see a pic! Maybe Sher can resize it?

Vickster, post a pic of Cara too, ok? Is she going with her steady boyfriend? I loved Liz's proms! She let me do her hair and makeup for all of them. Please tell Cara to have fun but stay safe.

I heard from Dee, I hope she won't mind me posting this. She is not good at all. She is in serious pain and hardly able to move, she stays in bed most of the time. Now from the medication, she has developed a bladder infection. They have tripled her dose of morphine, but it isn't helping too much. She can't get in to see a doctor until in May. Please pray for our dear little canadian friend. I miss her here and want her back to feeling normal again soon.

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Sherry your parents are just down the road from me!! If they ever need anything I would be happy to help.

We were thinking of going to KY Kingdom this summer. I have never been but sounds like it would be lots of fun.

I have to say I do not miss school at all. I feel bad saying that. But I am enjoying staying home with my kids. I do miss the kids because that is what I enjoyed most but as far as the paperwork, parents, lice, etc naaa don't miss that yet.

Janelle our school system is notorious for moving teachers around at the last minute. Even after the school year has already begun.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

I was just getting ready to post to everyone, but the news cast just said that 5 soldiers with the 1st Cavalry at Camp Taji were killed this morning. That's where Daniel is stationed. It will be very tense here for the next 24 hours, so you probably won't hear from me anymore today.
Love you all....
