Hello friends...just wanted to check in. Thanks for your prayers. Please keep them up. I'm praying for all of you.

We got a small settlement from Maytag...attorney says we'll get the most from the store where we purchased it & didn't get it repaired properly. Don't like doing it...but, sick & tired of living like this.

Everyone take care.

Hi guys...

I am feeling soooooo "let down"... ... ... I went for my weight and measure today at Curves and didn't do nearly as I hoped I cried! All this work and no weight-loss... I am still at 204. It's a good thing that I worked out, cuz it made me feel a bit better. When I got into my car I just cried it all out! I KNOW I will do better in next months weigh in/measure so I am just going to continue to work for that goal. It was just so disappointing...

Here are the numbers in my inch loss:
Bust: -1" / Waist: -4" / Abdomen: -2" / Hips: -1/2"
Thighs: -2" / Calves: 0 / Arms: 0 / Weight: 0
Total inch loss: -9.5"

*Happy St Pats...*

Default Hi there!

Sunny! Sorry to hear you were so upset, but here is a big H-U-G YOU DONE GOOD YOU LOST 9 " ES. tHAT IS AWESOME. Remember muscle, which you would build from toning up weighs more than fat, so that might be part of it.
E.Z - Rylee is so cute, can you bring him on vacation, we can chase him around the decks for exercise. The senetor from our district, said she thought the defense of marriage act would pass in NY But she thought they would approve civil unions. Which would give same benefits, without sanctioning as marriage. Lot of issues this year, with property taxes, they want to chnage tax-exempt statis in different areas, which would bankrupt some of the independent churches, pray that doesn't happen.
WELCOME! Catgirl nice to meet ya, hang out and let us know what your up to I am doing low cal. so far so good in one of those plateaus, and can't find my way off, anyone got the map, hee hee hee, send out the rescue team, hee hee, just kidding hanging in there
Angel your still in my prayers along with ds dil and kliddos. pray you get better settlement from company.
Hi there sami, wilma nice to hear from ya! Sunny so sorry to hear about your friend will add her to my prayer list. Hope this finds ya all well! Hi to all I missed. Gotta run but love yas best wishes!

HI GALS -

Sorry I have been MIA-- so much going on after work this week. Nephew basketball games- 2 wins- step-daughter softball game- a win finally! and daughter tennis match - a loss but 2 more matches this week left to try and get a win.

SAMI I hope you get the relief from the pain and problems soon.

SUNNY I know you worked hard-- don't give up! You lost inches, it takes time to lose weight-- try adding just a little to your work-out as you can.

SUE I think by the time the trip comes Rylee will be content to "graze" with us in the dining hall

ANGEL I wish you the best on the Maytag situation.

WILMA great job on the snacking.

Welcome CATGIRL.

MICHELE, out with Charlie?

SPROUT where are the daily reports

Gotta go-- ANGIE is at BUNKO and my nephew and I just got home from step-d softball game-- we took RYLEE and boy was she ever popular --in honor of St. Patricks day we called her Rylee O' Riley
Anyway Ron and I are heading out to try the new Pannidos at Jack-in-the-Box.......... don't tell ANGIE

Default Still here but sick

Am still here but have been sick - first my daughter and now me. Am on meds for this cold/flu because this time next week I am to be in the hospital for my cancer check up and the need to put me to sleep to do this - so need to have my lungs clear.

Also got word on my eyes - don't think I posted this. My right eye is covered with a cataract and the left is forming one - so am waiting to hear from the specialist for a consultation and then to have surgery to remove them.

If it isn't one medical problem it seems another.

undefinedSunny: please don't feel discouraged. My first month at curves was not what I expected - I lost 1/2 pound but 6 inches. And you lost 9 inches!!! Watch for the weight loss next time around

Ga Gary:haven't been putting them up due to the fact that I have been under the weather - but will start up doing it again. Just a quick note on son - he is really trying. He went to The Passion of Christ and it seems to have it home some to him with the lying. Now if we can just get him to be home on time from events that he goes to - he is late all the time - and not just 5 - 10 minutes - but more like 1 to 2 hours late. So we have taken all extras away from him telling him that he has to reearn them by showing trustworthy. Letting him go outside with friends for 1 hour and if he shows up on time - reading or tv for 1 hour will be given back. Big thing though this last week with him being disobedient (more late problems) is to bring up The Passion of Christ - it gets to him each time.

Default Good Morning!

It's great to see a few people posting.

Sunny: I know it's disappointing to not see the scale move but 9 inches is AWESOME!!! Think inches instead of pounds. You are building muscle. I've lost 9 inches and I've been going to Curves for almost a year. The weight is starting to move now. Don't get discouraged. Take note of the changes in your body. BTY, I'm honored that you put my quote in the header!

Gary: Sounds like your life is busy as ever. Got any good carpentry projects in the works or has Rylee completely taken over your life.

Sprout: So sorry you've been sick. Hope it doesn't last long. I'm glad to hear that your DS is showing some progress. Hang in there.

doitforme: Good to see you! How are YOU doing?

Sami: I'll be praying for you. You have suffered so much already. Hopefully the doc will have some answers.

Angel-lover: Great to see your post. come and see us when you can. You're in my prayers.

Michele is MIA. I hope all is going well with you.

Have a great day!

Default Dieters devotions for March 18, 2004

March 18

2 Timothy 1:12
. . .I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

'You can't lose weight. You've never stuck with anything in your whole life.' Those words haunt me all the time-every time I slip and eat something I know I shouldn't. I hate it when people think I'm too weak to succeed in my diet. I hate it even more when I prove them right. Still, being ashamed of failing at my diet is often good for me. If I am ashamed enough, then it helps me stick with it the next time. God has helped me a lot to conquer negative shame. I have committed my diet to Him, and He is true to help me keep on track.
Today's thought: I'll prove to all my skeptical friends that I am capable of losing weight.

Good Morning Folks...

I am so very 'grateful' to you all --- more then you will ever know!!! I feel encouragement like you would believe and have stuck to my program of diet & exercise. In fact, I leave for Curves soon ~ I just wanted to stop in and Thank-you all so much for your very kind and encouraging words
{{{Huge Hugs}}}

I know the facts (I really do...) but when hit with reality of no weight loss I felt betrayed and it was good to be remined of the facts again. I am okay now and have not thrown in the towel. I'll just keep on truckin'... ... ...

Well, I must be getting ready to leave for Curves.
I'll be back to post to each of you when I get home, okay

"Thank-you again"
*God Bless*
D.

Good attitude Sunny. I just got back from Curves. We got our new machine. It's the lateral and could I feel it. I might just find a waist yet! WIth the amount of machines we have we go around the circuit twice.

Sprout: Good attitude. After all, where should our help come from?

doitforme: Isn't it a pain that everything costs so much? You sound like things are going well for you.

Have a super day everyone!

Default Dieters devotion for March 19, 2004

March 19

Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Let's not call it our diet; let's call it God's diet. No, that doesn't mean God has to lose the weight. It means that we diet because it's what God wants of us. If it's God's diet, then God will help make sure that it goes well. He will bless those who diet in His name. It may sound silly to diet for God, but, as Christians, we are called to do everything in His name. When we live our lives as an offering to God, then we let the whole world know who gives us our strength and courage. If God is for us, then nothing can stand against us.

Today's thought: Dieting for God is a joy and a comfort!
