Hi guys. Sorry I've been MIA. I actually wrote a nice long post the other night but then my connection had dropped and I lost it when I went to post it. Sorry!!!
Andrea, I think you are completely justified in your attitude about Dh this weekend. Hope you guys have a great time and hope you get all your housework done! I have turned myself off of meat because of all the reading I have been doing. People with FMS shouldn't eat red meat but their is no restriction on any other meats. I have just read a lot on what it does once inside your body and now the thought of eating it makes me almost throw up. I may get over it eventually. I sure am feeling better since getting off of it though!!!
Spryng, I need to know more about the waxing. I shave my legs like 10 times a year, 8 of those being in the summer and as you can imagine, DH isn't too happy about this. Let me know also if it seems to take longer to grow back. I am soooo happy for you that DH is coming home this weekend. Hope ya'll have a great time. And don't be soooo stressed about your little blunder. I'm am sure you probably just used some flex points and even if it reflects on the scale today, it will be gone by Sunday for sure. You might lose twice as much next week!!!
Geri and Ricci, enjoyed chatting with you yesterday. Geri, FL sounds like fun and I am sure Will will have a blast. He sounds like an adventurous kid so it will probably be right up his alley! Ricci, hope the boys are doing better today!!!
Ginny, I think we all have those eating problems now and again. Especially when I beloved TOM comes to call!!! I am on tom this week and I have been craving sweets, isn't that supposed to happen before? Since I've been off sugar though, it makes me really sick when I give in!!! It will get better in a few days! Winter doesn't help! We need some sun!!! Anyways, hope you have a great day. I don't envy all the running you have to do! That in itself has to help!
Well, I am going to do a "Spryng" today. I'm gonna shut this thing off and go clean my house. It really needs it. I fixed a big japanese dinner last night and wrecked the kitchen after my poor DH has been cleaning it every night so I want to make it up to him. It sure was good though! Fried rice (I buy the rice from the oriental store, medium grain so it tastes just like Myabi's), zuchinni and onions, marinated mung bean sprouts, kim chee, dried seeweed and marinated, pan-fried tofu. My kids devoured the tofu, rice and seeweed. Still working on the zuchinni, though Sean did eat a couple pieces and he NEVER eats any vegetables!!! I didn't get any tofu because the kids ate their portion and mine. It is really good fixed that way.
TTYL!!! Hope everyone has a great OP Day!!!

Good morning all!
Guess I made a fuss over nothing, my WI showed 138, which means I lost a lb this week. (of course that included the 1/2 lb gain from last week) so I am thrilled with that.
Candy, no I couldn't use my flexpoints because I didn't have any to use. I use every last one of mine on the weekends, therefore I had none to use yesterday but they are all back today And about the waxing, yes it should take it 2-6 weeks to grow back in and when it does it will be very soft, not hard and coarse like after shaving makes them. I bought the kit at walmart, it by Nair... it a washable honey wax (natural ingredients) it comes in a tube, you put the tube in warm water and let the wax soften, squeeze some on your legs, use the applicator to smooth it down and then apply the strips rub a couple of times and yank off in the opposite direction of hair growth. I tried the roll on wax before and it didn't work for me at all, but this one worked great. My legs are very smooth and silky. Now for the bikini line I won't use wax... tried it and can I scream OUCH! It hurt so bad and even made my skin bleed. So I use the Nair cream around there for smooth results. Hopefully that wasn't too much info Well I hope you get your house in order and your japanese dinner sounded so interesting. I've never even attempted to try something like that. Where did you learn to cook that way?
Andrea I completely understand about not wanting to go see the in-laws this weekend. I feel the same way. Mine only live about 20 minutes from us so we see them every weekend. I tried talking DH out of it the other night and he really wants to see them either tonight or sunday night. Ugh. I would like to have him all to myself sometimes too. And he will in until monday morning. And yes I bought the kit at walmart. If you have sensitive skin it will probably hurt but my skin is tough so it wasn't a problem for me.
Well, guess I need to finish up odds and ends around here before DH gets here. I'll talk to you when I get a chance, have a great FRIDAY!!

Welcome Missy! I am Spryng, mother to 3 (Ava 4, joseph 3, and Tanner 7 months old tomorrow) I'm 23 and have been married for almost 6 years now. What plan are you on? I know you said eating healthy but is it a specific plan? I am on WW, I've done very well with it so far, lost 26 lbs on it since septemeber. How many kids do you have? I look forward to getting to know you better! I hope you find this thread encouraging, we are all a bunch of friends here

Hello Spryng! I am not on any plan. I watch my portion size and eat very healthy (lean meats, fruits, veggies). I moderate my intake of carbohydrates because they seems to bloat me up. Can't seem to kick the juice box and soda habit though but I've replaced some of them with water instead.
I did WW for a while but it just wasn't for me.
We have one child. He most likely will be our only child. We waited 5 years to have him and my husband just turned 37 so we aren't looking to have anymore children.
So far I have found the thread to be fun! I love reading the posts from everyone. It seems like everyone is so interesting. I look forward to getting to know you better as well and thanks for the WARM welcome!

Hi ladies,
I just wanted to say Hi to you. I am also a stay at home mom to a 4 year old boy a 2 year old boy and almost a 6 month old baby girl. I have a lot of weight to lose and I love 3fc but I am having trouble getting myself into the group disscusions. I have been cooking much healthier meals and doing my richard simmons and much to my happiness I am losing the weight. How does the WW diet work. I would love to get to know you better.

Heya 3kids!
It's nice to meet you! I am new as well. And I would be happy to talk with you. I have a lot to loose as well. I am just starting out with 50lbs for my first large goal.
I am cooking much healthier as well. I have completely cut out junk food except for soda and juice (love to drink sweet drinks!)
WW is Weight Watchers. It's based on a point range system that goes by your weight. So if you are like 150lbs you might get between 18-25 points, if you are 150-174 you might get 20-27, and so on.. I believe it's different now as far as the points go. I still have my kit but I am just typing this up quick for you.
Anyway, those points are calculated by the calories, fat grams, and fiber grams in foods you eat. So if you eat a granola bar you find out how many calories it is, how many fat grams it is and how many fiber grams it is by looking on the back of the box or package then you calculate your points (WW gives you a guide slider to help you do that or and/or a calculator that does it for you). Then you subtract that amount of points from your points range.
So let's says you weigh between 225-250 lbs. So your point range may be 26-33 points. You get up and have a 3 egg omelet and a slice of wheat toast. Let's say that calculates up to be 6 points (this is fake so just try to follow along). You take your 33 point range and subtract 6 from it. So that gives you 27 points left to split between lunch, dinner, and snacks. Then you work within your 27 left over points for the rest of your meals.
As you get farther from the high end of the weight range which in the case of the example I used is 250 you cut back on your points in your range. So let's say you started out at 250lbs and after 5 weeks you are 225lbs. Then you start eating only 26 points a day. Then you go down to your next range which would be something like 200-224 and then you have a 24-31 points range and you do the same.
Weight Watchers is a whole world. LOL! They have an online site weightwatchers.com. And they have some different programs. Online (where you do it online), At Home (where they send you the package and you do it by yourself at home), the Meetings (where you go to a WW group in your area for talks, weigh-in, and you get rewards after you loose a certain amount of weight and so on). Also at the grocery store they have SmartOne's entrees in the frozen food section. These entrees are good meals of various varieties that have what the points it's worth right on the outside of the box so you don't have to count at all. Only draw back is that they contain a lot of sodium. They taste good though and they even have desserts like cookie dough sundaes.
It works very well if you don't mind counting up everything you eat or having to worry about how many points you have left for your next meal and so forth. It does work for a lot of people and it actually did for me but I didn't like it. And on it you can eat anything you want but you need to try stay in the point range in order to loose. I stopped because it annoyed me to much to count up everything I eat when all I have to do is just watch what I eat (smaller portions and all healthy foods..no junk) and execise and I do fine.
Also you get Activity points. Meaning you get points for exercising. Like if you exercise by walking on a treadmill for 30 mins, you might get like 1 or 2 points to add on to your points for the day or you could save them in what they call "Bank" points. This is where you may not use all your points that day and save them for the next day. But you have to use your banked points within that week If I am not mistaken.
Anyway, you may want to check out weightwatchers.com to get the real scoop from the horses mouth so to speak! LOL!
That's just the stuff I know from memory of when I did it some time ago.

Good morning ladies,
Welcome to Missy and 3kids. I am Ricci sahm to two boys 3 and 5. The ladies here are wonderful. I hope you continue to post here.
As for me, last night was awful. Not even the zicam is helping the boys this time. RJ was up at least 6 times because his nose was so stopped up. Then they were both up at 4:30 and stayed up until 6. After that, we all three slept till ten, and it was great. I did get my workout in this morning. Tonight I am going out with my mom, my four siblings and my SIL for my sisters birthday. Going to tgifridays. I haven't been there in forever. Spryng and Andrea, I am glad your husbands will be in this weekend. Have a good weekend with them. Does anyone know if there is a website where I can find WW points on food for free? Can't seem to get them on the WW website unless your a paid member. Jackie, Candy, Geri and Ginny, hope you all are doing well. I don't know If I will be chatting today. Depends on my monsters...oops boys. Have a great day everyone

Hey needtoloosemore! Aww.. I am sorry about your kids. I hope they feel better sooon! It's that time of year for the colds, flu, stuffy noses and so forth! UGH!
Glad to hear you got your workout in. I did mine as well. I did the treadmill and tonight I will do yoga. It was rough today on the treadmill but I pulled it off.. LOL!
Not sure about an online website with points on food. All I could find were sites about 1 point foods.

Hey needtoloose,
I was just watching TV and I just saw a commerical for FRIDAYS and they seem to have some new low carb Atkins friendly dishes on the menu now. I just saw a spinach dip that looked devine! HMMMMMM HMMMMM! And some sort of grilled chicken it looked like.. yum!
Seems like you are leaning to WW but low carb doesn't hurt. If you try any of those dishes let me know. As a matter of fact.. hey it's Friday, I may just go with my husband and the baby tonight instead of cooking and see for myself. We don't live that far from a TGIFRIDAYS!
Well have a good time!
