While attending a marriage seminar on communication,
Tom and his wife Peg listened to the instructor
declare,

"It is essential that husbands and wives know the
things that are important to each other."

He addressed the men, "Can you describe your wife's
favorite flower ?"

Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and
whispered, "Pillsbury All-Purpose, isn't it?"

The rest of the story is not pleasant.

Cheat Free day 10!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight will be the test...I have a meeting at a small bar and grill here in town. Usually I go for the "greasy bar burger" but I will need to make better choices this evening! Send a "good vibe" of willpower my way!

Thank you for the suggestions on the jalapeno juice! I actually put my contacts in today without crying!

Sounds like everyone is having a busy Summer! We are getting ready to start 2 weeks worth of special events. I will be surrounded with ice cream 24/7!!!!! Lord, give me strength!!!!

Cheryl: Have fun on your vacation and I have faith in you that you WILL get right back on track! We all derail, but the key is knowing and getting back on track.

So Sher: How did you like how I addressed your package???
I was going to write: porn material enclosed, but chose not to!!!

Jennelle: My favorite recipe was the "concealed salad??" UUghh!! No wonder they lost weight!

Ramona: you said "boys" Do you mean both of your sons, or the boys from your town? I thought Ben had been given another assignment?? It's my understanding that this next group may need to stay up to a year? Have you heard that? My cousins son just arrived back to the States. His first thing to do was to take a loooongggg hot shower!

I hope everyone has a great day today!

Smoochies coming your way!!!!

Gayle..."flower"....

Ramona...Being a military mom must be ten times harder than being a military wife...I feel for you.

Sherry and Debbie...I know you guys work HARD at the football games, but I'm still jealous! I would love to see my boyfriend Brett Favre play the Titans, but I can never get tickets.

I'm still feeling fine. Something has really clicked in me. I read something on the culture of overload on a Christian website and I have actually been putting food down when I'm full. I actually only ate a half of a large fries because I was done. That's a pretty big accomplishment for me.

Morning girls

Going to be in the mid 80's today, a nice break from the humidity. I only have 5 more days of summer vacation and I think I am down right lazy...LOL.

Carol....I loved Curves!! The only thing is it wasn't close to my house and I would have to drive way out of the way to go. I like to come straight home from work. If I was you, I would try the free week just to see if I liked it.

Gayle....I'm so glad my hubby doesn't sale ice cream...LOL. Good luck at the bar tonight...my suggestion...Eat something before you go!!!

Jennelle...You sound like you are doing great. The feeling you have about eating is what all of us are searching for. "To quit eating when we are full"

Sherry....Time is drawing near!! Can't believe this summer has went so fast!! I'm excited about the deal we made last night. Today should be a perfect day for us to start . I thought I was dieing walking up those 200 steps!!! LOL

Ramona.....I know you are still worried about the boys. Thanks for letting us know what's going on with them. Did Ben's foot get well?

Jeanne, Vicki, Cheryl, and Doni.....Hope you are having a great OP day!!

Something funny....Don't you wish they had samples in the grocery before you buy the whole BIG package? Yesterday I bought FF waffles and sugar free syrup. I woke up this morning thinking and excited about my breakfast. LOL Katelyn {my granddaughter} had to eat the same thing I did. She took one bite and said...Meme I like the waffle but can you take the {FF} butter and syrup off it...It tastes gross!! Kids!!!

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Hugs...debbie

Shelley trust me these cookies are so filling that you wouldn't be able to make your way through two of them at one sitting. It is like having a treat for breakfast or a snack. Sometimes I only can eat half of one.

Deb: Try Smart Squeeze brand butter! Everyone eats it here! Taste just like the real thing except you squeeze it on!
I like Log cabin brand SF syrup. Also, a great dessert for those FF waffles: 1 toasted waffle, topped with a serving of SF cherry pie filling. Then add a dallop of FF whipped topping! HEAVEN!!

Dee: I am the cookie queen! I could NEVER stop at one half a cookie. I would wipe out the entire bag! You have so much self control. Guess that's why I got a good 40 pounds on ya!

Jennelle---ummmmm.......Brett Favre......The only thing that ever graced my wall in the gool-ole college dorm room was a poster of Brett Favre. W/O the facial hair......

Gayle--be sure to read the "ice cream" article on the 3fc home page

Hey everyone!! I leave for Rhode Island tomorrow night (2:02 a.m.--ugh!). I'm supposed to get there at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night.

I'll miss y'all while I'm away from the comp!

Cheryl: If I could jump right through this computer, you would be getting a big ol' hug from this 40 year old! Thank you for the kind words! How many hours will you be on the train? I've traveled by train before, it can be fun! I love the whole going to the dining car thing and ordering a drink with my meal. It seems so classy. BTW: I don't get out much...

Deb: report back if you like the dessert, I think I actually used two servings of the pie filling per waffle. If the filling isn't sweet enough for you, just give it a light sprinkle of Splenda. Try it out on Grand-daughter, I know everyone here likes them for a night snack.

Afternoon Floozies. Thanks for the well wishes for Daniel and Benjamin. Dan is the one going to Iraq and Ben was told that because of the shortage of dog handlers, he may have to go to Korea. It seems dog handlers are the number one target of the enemy because the dogs sniff them out. I'll let you know when I know more.

Sorry I haven't posted much, I've been down in my back and I can't sit much.

I've finally gotten myself back on track as far as eating goes and I've lost 4 pounds. I'm not obsessing about it this time(thanks Jennelle!). I'm just doing what I know is best for my body and letting things happen as they will.

I've also made an appointment for a new haircut on Saturday. I've been debating for a couple of months and I think I ready for a change. My hair is SO thick that it take about 20 minutes to get it completely dry and I'm really tired of that. Also, lying in the tanning booth has seemed to dry it out and the ends look really bad. When I go tan tonight and tomorrow, I'm going to spray a deep conditioner on it and let the heat do it's thing.

Didn't mean to write a book here, so I'll talk at ya later!

Good luck with the new hair style Ramona! I really liked the cut in the picture of you waiting at the airport. So, are you going shorter? I assumed Ben had his assignment still on with the president and vice president. I wish both boys the best and am sending prayers your way!

Just a quick post
Gayle-I love your picture!! You look so cute and innocent!

Ramona-Post a pic after you get your hair cut.

Dee-You posted on the wrong labor day thread. Go to #2.

We are going to Tampa tomorrow for a party for both my parents 80th birthday. We decided to have it there at my bro's house because my parents have lots of friends from the past there, and we want to surprise them with old friend's visits! I won't be able to post tomorrow. We are leaving early and coming back late.

Gotta run. I haven't fed birds and chickens yet!
Love to everyone!

Good Morning!!

FRIENDSHIP GARDEN

I have a little garden
No flowers will you find.
Instead you'll see the friendships
That I have made online.
They grow from something other
Than normal flowers do.
They thrive on love and support
And understanding, too.
This special little garden
No matter rain or shine
Is always in bloom
This special place of mine.
It's filled with fun and laughter
Where happiness abounds.
This lovely garden echoes
Many joyful sound.
I would like for you to know
That you are planted here.
In my "Friendship Garden"
Our hearts are always near

Hugs
Carol
