I could do with a decent hair cut - I'm trying to grow mine - but it has been at that in between sticking out stage for a few months now. Hopefully it'll settle soon.

I've been feeling under the weather for the last few days so noting has got done in my house, so Girly I too have pile of laundry you can do for me - will I just courier it across ???

I've been back at work today - dead exicting - but my skirt does feel a bit looser. It's a size 22 (UK sizes) think thats a 20 in Amercian sizes. I am seeing some changes. Will be scouring the shops looking for a 'disco' outfit on Saturday, my son will be 6 on the 25th & is having a birthday disco. I want somethig decent to wear so I can try not to show him up. My dancing will show him up heaps enough - cause I'm going there to enjoy myself not to stand at the side & watch him & his pals.

Gotta go do some of that washing.

Default Hi All!

Sal:

Do you have Lane Bryant there? That would be a great place for you
to find a swingin' outfit!

Let me know what you find! I'm really interested! If you do have a LB there,
sign up for the credit card. You can pay off your account as soon as you
get the bill, but then they send monthly savings coupons so you can get
yourself a kicka** new outfit once you get to size 18US!!!! Good for
you that your skirt was loose! Doesn't it feel good?

Wildfire:
Actually, I haven't even TOUCHED the washer and dryer!I bought my house
with my boyfriend and he likes to do laundry! I haven't done laundry since
August! I wanted to do a load, but by the time I got home from work,
it was all done! Sounds great doesn't it? But he won't TOUCH dishes!
Ha! How is your hair?! I wish I could go see Carmen too! I really need a new
cut! My hair is very, very thick and very, very wavy/curly and jet black. I just don't
know what to do with it! I used to straighten it every day, but too much
work! I'll be in Chicago on Friday, so maybe I'll pass a salon....

Race84:

I hope you're still lurking! How's it going? You and I kind of have similar goals.
Except I weigh more than I thought..I'm at 209 and my goal is 150. Are you
following any particular program? Good job on your success! It must feel
good! What size do you wear? When I was about your weight, I was on
the verge of a size 14/16. I'm right about 16 now. I like Gap pants and jeans.
Their sizing is a bit smaller than LB so maybe if you're 14/16, a Gap 14 will
work for you...Most Gap 16's fit me well. It's just my darn behind!

Hope all of you are doing well!

Sal!!!!!

You go crazy babe and get a smashing outfit. It's a party and it sounds like you are going to have a great time. Good luck clothes shopping.

I wore a sweater today that my lovely fiance washed (dry clean only) and it shrunk something wicked, but it's fitted now instead of big and loose. I wore it today and one of my friends said that she thought I was lookin' good. Little things like that make all the difference sometimes, eh?

Girlie---I think your goal is reasonable for October. Remember the exercise and the water and you should be on your way!

Talk to you guys soon! Abby

Thanks for the tips, Ressey!

The water is my big bad "oopsy". I just
can't seem to drink enough water in a day, unless
i purposely gorge myself every once in a while.
Hey, if it works, maybe i'll do it!

Sal, isn't the growing out stage fun? I actually cut my long hair short a couple of months ago, so we're doing the opposite! Hope you have fun at the party...sounds like a blast!

Girle, my hair is great! Very Charlize Theron...except my hair is auburn, not blonde. Very short! Will be very easy to work with when I'm running around half conscious at 4:30 am getting ready for work. My hair is straight and fine....think we could trade for a while? Oh, my hubby does laundry, dishes, bathrooms, groceries...you name it. See, I got one from the US Navy....already trained to take orders.

Ressey, isn't it great when you get compliments!

Default Ain't it the truth.....

Girlie-
I hear ya about the H20- I have a heck of a time getting it all down! I'm pretty sure this is what people mean when they refer to "water torture". You and I are about the same size-I'll take you up on the GAP idea- I never knew they made jeans to fit the vertically challenged like myself. (I'm convinced I could be a size three if I were 7ft tall!)
I am on the WW points program-weigh in tomorrow-wish me luck!! If I lose I'll post it tomorrow.

Wishin' ya luck through the rest of the week

Everybody sounds like they're doin' great-here's to a good week! Cheers!

Default It's my Friday!

I'm driving to Chicago this weekend with a gal of mine and I'm really excited.
I will watch what I eat, but I'll be happy to know of all the walking I'll be doing!

Race:
I'm really glad that you're still around! I hope you stick around too!
Yes, I like Gap pants....their tops are mostly a little too preppy-like for me...
They seem to think that everything you wear has to be form-fitting!
I was happy when I went to gap.com and they have almost all of the
tops in XXL for women, which make them fit well and looser on me.
Almost all the pants and jeans there come up to size 20, with inseams
of x-short to x-tall! I usually get the ankle length with is usually 29/30
inches. Regular is usually 31/32 inches, so I'm guessing short is 29
and x-short is 27. Sometimes they have really cool pants like my favs..
these wool plaid flared legs!

Wildflower:
Hello! I bet your hair looks better than Charlize's! Did you know that she's a
very tall size two? How terrible! I know you're way more of a sexy woman than
she is! Don't say no, yes, you are! That's funny..my BF is in the Air Force..
don't you just love these military guys?!

Ressey:

How are you doing? Been getting more compliments? If you haven't today,
I'll give you one...you look GREAT!!!!

SAL:

What did you get for your outfit? I'm dying to know!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Default Do you like Pants?

I am really into flared/wide leg pants....

I went to this military surplus store with my BF...he collects military garb and
it's sometimes very boring while he pours through memorabilia and spends
$300 on patches and shirts and haversacks and things...

This one store that I went to also had an upstairs that sold old, retro type stuff..
they had Navy issue sailor denims. They discontinued this old style of
flared denim pants, so this store had tons of them. I found two pairs!
They are cool because they are the superflared style that I like with flat pockets
in front. I think it's flattering because they're trim in the waist then flare out in
wide bells.

It's cool because these are really men's pants, so you can get a wide variety
of waists and lengths to fit, rather than going by one women's size.

Anyway, if you're a pants fan, you'd like this..if not, then you are totally bored
and I'm surprised you made it this far!

Thanks for reading!

Default you're amazing!

Girlie-
Your fashion sense is amazing! I'm so jealous of your finds! I have never found a pair of flares that weren't made to fit a twig-and the selection around here is pitiful. I have to drive at least 2hrs to get to a town big enough to carry clothes that look good and are fashionable. I'm not kidding! The best bet around here is a feed sack. (It's a small rural area town.)

Thank goodness for e-trade, or I might have to wear a paper bag!

Had a good week

Default Hey!

I hope all of you are out there and doing well!

Race: Hey! Congrats on the weight loss! Yay! I'm happy for you! You'd best hold out on
buying any flare pants...pretty soon, you'll be swimming in them! (or you can just hand
them down to me as we both lose!)
