LAURA....you might say I am a lil closer to home now. We ended up staying in this building, we are now on the 5th floor, prior we were on the 7th floor, so I am 2 floors closer to home...hahahahha. I might wait til Side Effects comes out on DVD and rent it. Hope your meeting wasn't too icky.

CHELLE....one driveway down, hoping for another one! Yah! on not shoveling, you shouldn't EVEN consider it anyway as your back cannot take it and your job is more important than that d*mn driveway. Park in the street and walk. Do you understand me? xoxo

Back at it...

Annie
So you are two floors closer to home. For some reason that was funny. Just put another peg in the wall to hold all your hats.

Chelle
Good thing the ex dh's neighbor plowed the snow. That was nice of him. Rest when you get home tonight.

Laura
I liked the WW online tool. It's very easy to use. Think you will like it. Was also going to mention that on the Yahoo page they had a segment on Downton Abbey. I may watch some more episodes.

Mel
How are you feeling?

Shad
All this talk about apricots has me hungry for them. I'll have to see if any of our grocery stores have them.

Ladies -

Great news!! Not only did my ex's neighbor clear out my ex's driveway so that I can drop off and pick up Santa and also check on ex DMIL...my upstairs neighbors in the duplex cleared OUR driveway! Thank God!!! I was able to come home, take a nice relaxing hot shower and relax this evening.

My ex and his GF will either be getting home tomorrow or Friday. Dang, I hope it's not awkward or weird or tense or anything like that. I've got to drop Santa off tomorrow and Friday (like I usually do) and since I have to work from 8-noon on Saturday, I'll have to drop Santa off then too. Sigh...please send me : for this weekend.

I will try and do personals later. Heck, if tonight is like last night, maybe I'll have insomnia at 2 am and post then. Right now, my back is telling me to lay back down with Santa as my heating pad. He presses his warm little body against my lower back and it relaxes my muscles. He's such a sweetie.

Much love to all,

Morning all.

Annie - Haha, only two floors down, and yet the move was surely just as big of a PITA as if you'd moved miles away. When our office moved, we only went a few blocks away, but our space went from the 38-44th floors down to the 5-8th floors - now there's barely any time to read any of the elevator tv news. The icky meeting yesterday was painful, but I earned points with the boss because I dealt with a difficult person and topic in a satisfactory way.

Mel - Awww, sorry your arm isn't better yet. More rest!! Hope you're hibernating in your apartment and not answering the door. I've been meaning to tell you that I like your new signature - I definitely feel the same way by now.

Michelle - Thought I'd already read your last post because it also started with "Great News!", but then realized this was additional great news. I'm glad you didn't do any shoveling yesterday and got to rest your back. Yeh, I'm hoping things won't completely change in terms of civility now that the ex's gf is there. Sending some : to you.

Ceejay - I gained access to the ww eTools last night and thankfully it does seem like an easy tracker to use. Did you find the fresh apricots?

Shad - Happy Friday to you!!

Happy
==
As I mentioned to Ceejay, I got myself set up on the ww eTools last night. I entered yesterday's eating on the tracker and it seems like a pretty good tool. I also uploaded the mobile app on my iPhone. I'm going to track on both the ww and SP apps for a few more days just to get an idea of my calorie intake. Based on yesterday, I exceeded my daily ww points by quite a bit, yet my calories were really good (for me) vs. my usual intake. And the scale also showed a lower number today.

Bf somehow negotiated with the cable company to give us their "ultra" plan - a couple dvr's, the ability to record up to 6 shows at once, etc - for the same price we pay now. Everything's different, so bf was a bit grumpy figuring it out after it was installed yesterday. Plus he was exhausted from all the snowblowing. He's never one to do the job in multiple parts, so he paid the price for throwing all that heavy snow all at once. We also got a wee bit more overnight...

Nothing special going on today, except a couple food challenges. #1 is picking up the box of GS cookies I ordered. #2 is a cake celebration for our retiring receptionist. Hopefully, the cookies are the thin mints because I can usually resist those. For #2, the cake is usually nothing special at all, but the sugary icing will still be something I want...please send me some willpower ladies. The contest weigh in #2 is tomorrow morning!!

After work bf and I will go to the produce market/deli to pick up some items. I really need to get on the fruit and veg wagon - the way I went through my points yesterday means I need to take full advantage of the zero point foods. It won't be a bad thing at all to learn to love more types of fruits/veggies, but I'm not sure i like how grains seem to be penalized in the ww plan.

Okay, back to it. TTFN!

Hi ladies,

My computer crashed kaboom yesterday. Would crash as soon as I opened a browser window. DH worked on it ALL day yesterday. And it was still a bit wobbly last night. Seems better today. Lots of out of date drivers and about 17 versions of Java on it. I thought those things took care of themselves. My job is only to stay away from spam and porno sites.

Going to read personals and catch up now.

Ok, back.

Mel - I'm very sorry to hear about your arm. Do whatever you can to make it better even if it means sitting there quietly. I'm with the others on liking your signature. I sleep with the window cracked open a bit and this week I have noticed a couple of times spring birdie songs in the morning. I love that sound and even though we are getting a fine snow in the air right now, spring is making it's way over to us. Keep the faith and rest up. I'd hug you but I don't want to make the arm worse.

Laura - one of the things that amazed and disappointed me with WW was that you think you are eating good and then you count up your points and find that even with good food you used up 45 points. So yes, you need to bulk up with the fruits and veggies. The other thing I don't particularly care for is that alot of people got around the points by eating sugar free foods which I can't do. Also when they changed the points system to make fruits and vegetables 0 points, they restructured their calculations which bumped up alot of the WW and Lean Cuisine dinners to a higher points value - some from 6 points to 8. For those people near goal on 21 points a day, it made it a real challenge to get enough food. As for the snow, we found out the same thing last year when we got 22 inches overnight. It was a real pistol for DH to plow, he said if we were to get a good dump again, he'd have to stay up all night and do it in batches, especially as we round the bend into spring and the snow will turn more towards the wet, heavy stuff. Good going on the cable negotiations there. That stuff is so crazy expensive - just like cell phone bills. Good luck avoiding that cake frosting. Just tell a friend to give you a hip check if she sees you heading over that way.

Ceejay - loved your comment about Annie building a peg wall to hold all her hats. Great idea. Perhaps it can be on the outer cube wall as you approach her and the person can come to her office hat in hand so she has 2 seconds to prepare an attitude and snappy answer ahead of time Everyone must be jumping on the Downton Abbey bandwagon. My library's got multiple holds on something like 10 copies of the series.

Michelle - glad people helped out with the snow situation. I'm sure at first it will be awkward with the new GF but hopefully everyone can be adult about it for the good of all.

Argh - one of the utilities that DH downloaded is running and those always snag up the system so I'm going to post before I lose this.

Bummer on the computer crashing but you do have some one who knows about computers.

Laura
I think it's probably a good idea to keep both the WW e-tool and SP going for a bit. I really don't like to log my food. and if I stick the Metabolic menu plan I shouldn't have to. Sound like bf did a good job negotiating the cable company. I'm thinking about going back to just the basic. I watch certain channels.

Mel
Take care of yourself and rest.

Michelle
Glad you got to rest last night after work.

Nothing new here. Weigh in was better than expected after the week long ordeal with the stress at work and to many carbs. My weight was 195.8 or 196. At least it is going down despite all those carbs. Think that so called last chance work out helped. I'm kinda proud of myself for reaching the thirty minute cardio that my sister is expecting of me.
Went to lunch this afternoon with my friends. Didn't over eat as I brought over half of it home with me.
We're supposed to get a dusting of snow tomorrow. I would like to watch it snow with no plans to go anywhere. I'd thought I'd go to Jonesboro but will not if the snow happens.
I know now why they say to use all your prescription. Think I have yet another bladder infection. So I'm taking what is left of this last rx.
I'm at a loss as to what to fix for dinner.

Morning all,
Got a few minutes before the lunch break so thought I might pop in and see what you are all up to on both facebook and 3fat chicks.

Annie is giving Michelle a serve on facebook.
Ceejay is having 'what to serve with dinner' problems.
Mel has a sore arm
Happy has computer problems
Laura is computing WW points and looking for Willpower Dust
Michelle is being warmed by the dog and loving her neighbours for blowing the snow.

Sounds like we are all on track for a welcome weekend. We've had a bit of rain this morning and things are cool for this neck of the woods. Humidity is probably still there tho'. A couple of our consultants have taken to biking to work now that we are no longer in the city and within walking distance of the office - we are 21K out. One of the consultants has a sore '***' and the other found a small crocodile on the bike path yesterday. Scared the life out of him it did. Didn't make matters any better for him than when I said, that it wasn't the crocs on the path that he needed to worry about, it was the pythons falling out of the trees. His look of horror had me giggling all day. Are there pythons hanging out in the trees??? who knows.

So this weekend I am in Darwin. Got a trip to the markets planned for Saturday - fresh fruit and veg *yeah*. then I might go to the big shopping centre and pick up a few bits and pieces and some flowers for the apartment. The the rest of the weekend will be rest, relaxation and some exercise.

Started planning my move home - which will happen on 26th April or shortly thereafter. So I can't get too much in the way of groceries and supplies because I need to be running out the pantry, not putting more bits in it. More planning of menus needed.

Guess I should go out and get some lunch while the showers have disappeared. Today is the first day of March - year is starting to fly past again.
