Laura
Good for you in taking a mental health day. I could use one of those. Your stew will be good when you get home. I'm ready to make some soup and cornbread.

Mel
Thanks for the good vibes. Glad your day turned out well. Sleep is always a good thing to do.

Annie
It turns out that no news is good news. I'm happy with the results. See below.

________
I must have misunderstood the doctor in him stating that I had pneumonia.
He did take an xray to make sure and he did see a spot on my lung. That's why he sent me to have a cat scan. Turns out that I don't have pnuemonia just scar tissue. I'm relieved.

Yeah CEEG...glad to hear it was all a spoof! I have a shadow on my lung that baffles all docs and nurses till I tell them about it. Compare xrays and tadah...I am right a simple shadow. Glad to hear you are OK. Now feel better mentally and move on!

Oh MELLIE...h*ll....F the alarms, I have yet to hear of a "real" episode with the seniors. I know, I know, the first one you ignore will be the most serious one. Just seems like if you put a memo out that stated for every time you pull and alram or call the authorities or make something happen, you will personally be charged 5o bucks, to be paid the next day after. Maybe if you put the threat out there the seniors will be less likely to cause a mishap...just sayin'

Leave for Louisville, KY in the morning. Probably will not be able to post while on company business. Maybe Friday evening or Saturday morning for sure.

Working on laundry at the moment. Hate to come home to chores. Got the dishes all done and put away. Working on the last load of laundry. C came home horny but didn't take him to long to be too tired. I wasn't counting on it as I knew what would happen...um, I wasn't upset as I had other things to do...am I strange? haha

Just heard the washer go off...means I have to get to work.

Hello to all the worldies...have a great...Wednesday/Thursday/Friday.

Love and hugs.

Hi ladies,

I have the rest of the week off! Sold out most of the stuff in the store so we are closing for a few days. I am off until Monday My coworker is not so keen on this as it also means no work / no pay. But now I will have more time to spend with Mom. Today we are going to visit my cousins and maybe hit up the casino for a bit. Tomorrow the library and maybe the candy store as Mom is out of treats. Not sure what we are doing for the weekend quite yet. It's chilly - we are getting snow flurries as I type this. A day of sun, a day of clouds and that's how it goes. They are trying to finish the road construction before it gets too bad - we're hoping that they are going to pave the road to our house which will be so much nicer than gravel.

Every day when I leave for work, Mom goes "shopping" in my clothes closet. I come home and she is wearing my clothes. Sometimes it's really obvious but I have caught her wearing my t-shirts buttoned underneath a sweater (oh you weren't supposed to notice that ) Seeing as how I am 2 sizes bigger than her don't know why she likes this but maybe it gives her something to do during the day when she gets tired of reading. She says she likes my stuff because she likes roomy things and I have nicer stuff than her

My back and legs were really hurting bad last night - bad enough to wake me from a sound sleep. But not bad enough to make me get out of bed and take a pain reliever. I think it's part being on my feet so much and part the cold weather moving in.

Mel - I hope you get a good report from the doctor and that he has time to see Jen too. What's with the pop up visits???? I didn't realize it but you may be right about something going on at the site here that interferes with typing a post. I do seem to remember that happening before when you mentioned it...

Annie - have a good trip, I sincerely hope they have good things in store for you. I guess now you and C are an official couple if one thought about sex and it didn't happen because when you gave it more thought - you were both tired Better get good rest when you are gone as he will probably be ready to chase you the minute you drive back home

Ceejay - glad you don't have pneumonia after all. I can see all the stuff around you (like the cotton and the defoilation chemicals) being hard on the lungs. Not to mention the stuff you are around in the plant. I am due for one last scan on the histoplasmosis on my lung and not sure I'm going to do it - will probably cost me a thousand dollars with this crummy insurance coverage. What do you have scar tissue from?

Ellen - sorry to hear everyone is sick. Hope you can avoid it.

Laura - how was the movie? It seemed a bit over my head when I saw the trailers. Did the curry come out? Good idea to add some chicken to it. Do you eat it with rice? Maybe I will try that Famous Dave's wild rice soup knock off recipe I have since you have me in the mood for something warm and hearty. What a great idea on the not just ripe enough pear! I'm going to file that for future reference...

I guess I should go hop in the shower. Trying to think of something to take over to the cousin's. They don't like sweets and Mom can't eat salts which makes for a bit of a dilemma... Have a good one - talk to you later.

Quick post to say...

Happy - I'm so glad you're off until Monday! Good for you!! Enjoy time with your mom. I hope you can figure out something to take to your cousin's. Have fun!

Annie - Wishing you safe travels and a successful trip to LV. Love ya, sis!

I worked a long day yesterday because we launched some new website functionality, and I'm quite tired today. i was going to go to a workshop tonight...but just too tired to get home after 9 (and drive at night when tired). So I'll go home and pack at least 2 or 3 boxes and then relax for the evening.

Sorry for the lack of personals...work has been crazy busy...and I haven't even turned on my computer at home in over a week.

Much love to all,

Keeping in touch is the best thing for right now. You are a busy lady.

Happy
Too cute that your mom likes shopping in your closet. You'd better go for that last test. I didn't want to fish out the money for the cat scan but did. They said it would go toward my deductible. I now know that there isn't anything seriously wrong in there. It was worth it to me.

----
I'm ready for this day to be over with. 45 more minutes to go.

Afternoon all,
Quick flyby for me. Last full day of work and I now have 5 projects on my plate plus helpdesk and plus helping out the indians. flat out.

Going home tomorrow for the weekend. Can't wait. Really looking forward to it. I quite like my co-worker, but that might change at anytime. She can be a bit ditzy. However there are other party animals out there so she won't need to bother me too much in the future. I will go out for a drink occasionally but not every night and I certainly will not be coming home at 2.00am like she does once in a while.

Anyway, I am still alive and I might just get to personals over the weekend. See you then.

GOOD MORNING CHICKS
LOVELY SUNNY DAY OUTSIDE..
NICE AND BRIGHT AND SUCH A GREAT WAY TO BEGIN THE DAY
OF COURSE THE ALARM MAN CAME AFTER 4PM A& WANTED TO SPEAK TO ME.
AND OF COURSE THE "HISTORY" HE READS SHOWED NO PROBLEMS.
I AGAIN TOLD HIM WHAT'S HAPPENING & HE AGAIN OFFERED TO ORDER THE NEW BATTERIES. SAYS THAT'S ALL HE CAN DO.
WE ALMOST GOT INTO AN ARGUMENT ABOUT HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS.
SO I TOOK HIM INTO ONE OF THE APARTMENTS WE USE AS AN OFFICE.
HE SAW THE SET UP AND APOLOGIZED.
I SAID CAN WE START THIS FRIENDSHIP ALL OVER AGAIN??
THEN WE BOTH LAUGHED.
OUR 2 BOSSES WERE PUSHING THIS "PROBLEM" ON US.
MY BOSS WANTS TO WAIT & SEE IF IT KEEPS HAPPENING
BATTERIES AREN'T CHEAP.

THE DR WAS A NO SHOW TOO. I SHOULD HAVE REALIZED IF THE OFFICE IS CLOSED THEN WHY IS HE COMING.
BUT I ASSUMED HE WAS BEHIND IN HIS SCHEDULE DUE TO THE JEWISH HOLIDAYS.
WONDER IF THEY MEANT TODAY. EITHER WAY I AM READY.
GOING TO CALL WHEN IT OP[ENS TO CHECK.
OFF TO BREAKFAST. HAVE A GREAT DAY

SHAD.....SOUNDS LIKE A VERY BUSY JOB AND TONS ON YOUR PLATE.
2AM??? I CAN'T PULL THOSE HOURS ANYMORE EITHER.
HOPE SHE MAKES FRIENDS WITH SOME PARTY REBELS AND LEAVES YOU OUT OF THE LATE NIGHT STUFF
SAFE TRAVELS HOME

CEEJAY....IT'S GREAT TO KNOW THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WRONG IN THERE.
SO GLAD YOU GOT THAT GOOD NEWS.
HOPE THOSE 45 MINUTES FLEW BY YESTERDAY!!
HAVE A GREAT 3 DAY WEEKEND. WHEN DOES IT BEGIN???

MICHELLE....SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS FOR A SMILE.
SORRY WORK IS SO BUSY RIGHT NOW. GOOD JOB PACKING.

HAPPY....AWHILE BACK YOU TOLD ME YOUR POSTS WERE MISSING LETTERS DUE TO AN AD. THEN IT BEGAN HAPPENING TO ME ALSO. IT WAS GONE FOR SOME TIME AND NOW IT'S BACK....BUT NOT EVERY DAY SO IT MUST BE A "CERTAIN" AD OR I DON'T KNOW WHAT?!?!?!
ANYWAY....MOM MADE ME LAUGH WITH THE CLOTHES.
MYSELF AND THE SENIORS LIKE ROOMY THIONGS BECAUSE THERE IS NO "RESISTANCE" WHEN YOU WANT TO MOVE YOUR ARMS AROUND. AND ROOMY TOPS FEEL GOOD ON YOUR SKIN TOO AS IT AGES AND GETS SENSITIVE....."THIN SKIN".
IT COULD BE WHY SHE IS RAIDING YOUR CLOSET AND SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHY HERSELF!
I AM GLAD YOU HAVE THE TIME OFF AND CAN SPEND IT WITH MOM BEFORE IT'S TIME FOR HER TO GO HOME.
WHEN SHE LEAVES...IS SHE GOING TO HER OWN HOME?? GIVE HER A HUG FROM ME

Good morning ladies,

Routine doctor visit for me this morning. There is construction going on the road outside my house and I hear trucks already so no time to post as I'd better get out of the house earlier than I planned in case I get stuck in construction traffic.

Will be back later. Happy Thursday...

Good morning ladies -

Work is still busy, and that's a very good thing!! I only got two boxes packed last night, but it's better than nothing. Tonight, I'll try for 3 or 4.

Mel and Happy - Good luck with the medical appts.

Much love,

Morning,
It is raining here which would be a good time to sleep--maybe this afternoon. I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up around 2 a.m. then crawled into bed. For some reason I was sleepy all day.
I'm going to finish the laundry and that is it for today.

Mel
I hope that the doctor has time for you today.

Happy
Hope the construction dose not hinder the ride into town.

Michelle
Two boxes is good enough. You'll have the week end to accomplish some more packing.

Morning all. Back to work today.

Mel - Hope the dr's visit happens today and that he has time to see Jen as well. Nothing like surprise doc visits!! Good you mended fences with the alarm guy, and I hope you two can get to the bottom of the problems with the alarms if it isn’t the batteries. Mel you have a good point about the roomy clothes – I’ve worn a close-fitting jacket a few times the past few weeks and it’s painful on the bum shoulder to get into it, so now I can appreciate the preference for roomy/stretchy clothes!!!

Ceejay - Great news that you don't have pneumonia!! What a relief that must be to you!! But now you’ll forever more have to explain the scar tissue that shows up on your x-rays, like Annie does?? Re the dogwalks by the creek – it is a nice place to walk – lots of trees and grass so doggy loves it. I like to pretend we’re out in the middle of nowhere, but it’s only a couple blocks from home so there’s still the traffic sounds and we’re within sight of the surrounding residential streets – the peace is limited, lol. Enjoy your weekend!!

Annie – Too bad you didn’t get to the movie. Our group makes large orders of discounted movie tickets from the AMC chain and they are $6, and we split the shipping cost, which is practically nothing once you spread it across 100 tickets (there are probably a dozen people who order the tickets together). These tickets restrict you from seeing new releases – have to wait until it’s been out 10 days, but that usually doesn’t bug me. I wouldn't go very often at all if I had to pay $10+!! Hope the spat with the co-worker got resolved, and that your time in Louisville with your new boss is productive and comes out well for you.

Shad – Granny Crime, LOL. Funny what catches your eye now, huh? Now you sound like you’re on your usually assignment – busy, busy, busy. Enjoy your weekend at home.

Happy – Sorry your insurance is such an expensive PITA! When you’re considering skipping a test that would hopefully put your mind at ease about the lung thing, that is not a good thing. Yay you have the rest of the week off to spend with your mother! I hope you have fun getting out and about with her. So cute she raids your closet. Heck, at this point in her life, why not wear baggy comfy clothes?? I didn’t think the curry cooked long enough, and while I was at the movie, bf turned off the cooker and never added the coconut milk until much later after I dished some up for myself and finally realized it was missing. I ended up putting my serving back in the cooker uneaten. Last night we had leftovers, so tonight we’ll put the cooker back on for a couple hours and see how it comes out. Re the pear – I got the idea from when our family used to do the same with apples, except I didn’t have any cool whip to dollop on top. And that doesn’t seem to appeal to me anymore anyway.

Ellen – Sure hope you haven’t caught whatever the kids pick up at school. Must be a major victory when you don’t because it would seem the deck is stacked against you with 3 kids being exposed to it all and bringing it home.

Michelle – Hope work calms down a bit, but it’s good you’re busy and have minimum time to dwell on the packing/moving, etc.

==

The movie “Looper” was good. I’m not a big sci-fi/time travel geek and I was still able to follow it – the movie was good with the explanations. If you like that kind of thing, you’ll like this. Apparently Joseph Gordon Leavitt spent hours each day being made up to look more like Bruce Willis, who plays his older self in the movie. I don’t see why that was necessary, but he did look more handsome and mature than he usually does – they gave him lighter colored eyes and they looked good on him, LOL.

The doc appoint yesterday morning was fine. The doc took x-rays, and nothing showed up, as expected. He is a very no-nonsense, down to earth guy who just thinks I need to work on my range of motion. Said my situation isn’t bad like it could be for an older or diabetic person (for some reason, diabetics have more trouble with this type of injury). My shoulder isn’t “frozen”, so no outside PT other than bf helping me work the shoulder. I’d been avoiding doing too much with it because of the pain and worrying about making things worse, but there is nothing to make worse, just some remaining inflammation that he advised I can just take aleve or advil for. No rx, how refreshing. Also as expected, the elbow is tendonitis aka “tennis elbow” and all I can do about that is rest it. So no gripping/lifting type moves. I jokingly mentioned lifting my heavy purse and he said it’s a good time to clean it out, lol.

The rest of yesterday was lunch at an Asian buffet that also has a grill that will cook up a plate of the ingredients you choose. It was fine. After that was shopping with bf, the library, and a dog walk. We watched the dvd movie “Take Shelter”, and it was pretty good and had a great cast, but the ending wasn’t all that satisfactory to us.

Tonight I might go to a circuit class. Have to modify the weight moves for the elbow & shoulder...

Okay, back to catching up on the e-mails that piled up while I was gone. Bleh.
