I feel for DH. Since I've been a good girl and don't over do on the caffeine and take my potassium my heart racing has stopped. The low potassium is all the cardiologist found wrong. He has a reason to be concerned. It's kinda frightening to be in bed and can't move cause your heart is racing.
My regular doc did make my bp med extended release.

Laura
Hope your shoulder/tennis elbow is better.

Mel
Are they bringing you a new wheel chair or are they going to fix the one you have.

Annie
I've always like flowers but planting them in this gumbo no thank you. Doesn't seem like the little man is old enough to cut his first tooth. This year is getting away from me fast.

Ellen
What are you up to these days?

Shad
I got a new phone as mine was about to give up the ghost and the contract ran out too. You could always accidentally wash it in the washer like I did.

afternoon all! time for a quick check in. It has taken me forever to catch up on reading. I saw the DR this morning and I am officially 6 lbs down! Who hoo. I really slacked off the end of last week into the beginning of this one. I need to get back on the straight and narrow. Hoping to lose 30LBS by the time I see the DR again in December.

No Braces for the kiddies yet, but with in the next month or so. DS has his initial "consult" in 2 weeks. BUt that is really just to go over waht is needed again and look at his impressions. DD2 will get her expander on in 4 weeks. And then I also have to take all the kiddies for shots next week. Will try to get back in here tomorrow and post some personals before work. DH is home already and I need to get dinner rolling shortly. Pork Chops and potatoes on the grill

Like the song below says....tomorrow I will make my own sunshine!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUFDFePer_c

A friend sent me that link after I found out this chair here needs to go into the shop and cannot be fixed here. Something is very wroing with the electronics of the recliner and not just a simple matter of a plug not plugged in. HELLO!! Does anyone ever listen to me??
then I signed the papers to get rid of the old chair and it about broke my heart. I've been upset all day over this mess. There are a lot of people to blame for this and I am NOT one of them.
It's a sad story and I am the one that ends up losing. Pisses me off.

A super quick post while I have computer access....I'm giving my notice today as soon as my boss gets in, and they may escort me out of the building. I've accepted an offer that comes with a substantial salary increase...the benefits aren't as good...but we'll take the benefits offered by DH's employer. Anyway, I can start the new job as soon as Monday if I want to.

Sending hugs and well wishes to Happy's DH. I apologize for not being able to do more personals, but I've got to get my desk cleaned out so I'm ready if they want me to leave immediately.

Much love,

TGIF FO SHO...

The sweet friend that gave me the quilt sent me an email with the below paragraph after visiting the doc yesterday...

My 5th Surgery in less than a year is scheduled for Tuesday, 6/26, have to be at St. Vincent at 7:00 am. The OR has been reserved for 4 hours. It will be almost as major as the pouch surgery. Hospitalized for 7-10 days. Will come out of surgery with 2 catheter bags attached, the one I presently have attached to the kidney as it is now, until we know the surgery was successful, and one in the pouch until it heals. Also will have a tube in my nose (again) draining stomach fluids. He plans to cut out the blockage and reattach the ureter to the pouch, also putting in a stent. He won't know until he gets in there how well the blood supply is going to the ureter. If, for some reason he can't reattach the ureter to the pouch, or if the blood supply to the ureter is really poor, he will take the kidney. They're going to put a pic in my upper arm somewhere for IVs and blood work, so they won't have to keep poking me with needles and I will have an epidural for pain management before the surgery begins. He plans to make the incision where the previous incision is.
Needless to say, I won't be dancing with wolves for quite a while, nor dancing with the stars for a long time to come. If I'm lucky I'll be out of the hospital by the 4th of July? Would appreciate all thoughts and prayers.
*******************
Prayers are definitely needed here for Nell. She is so sweet.
YAHOOO for CHELLE!!! See I knew God has you in the palm of his hands!! CELEBRATE!!!

HAPPY...I have been on prescribed potassium for over a year. That is about the only thing wrong with my blood work, besides being anemic, but I have been anemic since teen years. Heart flutters was one of my symptoms when my potassium got too low also. Glad DH is on the mend. He will feel better soon. Eat bananas lol

ELLEN...good things kids are so stinkin' cute. Cause they sure do cost a lot of $$. Goodluck with the shots next week. Blah

CEEG...Guess you will just have to enjoy SHADDIES beautiful flower pix rather than growing your own.

MELLIE...just seems like no one listens to what you have to say about what is wrong with things. THen month's later, shazam, they get the picture...sorry you are going through all these struggles with stuff that should be easy...hugs sweet sista!

Hey there to all the rest of you sweet chicklets...

It's Friday!! YEAH!!

Love and Hugs

Quick Appt, all is great, doc said I was his easiest Appt of the day, & I'm healthy as a horse, lol.

Okie Dokie Worldlies, I am ready to start this off, I picked up the Schwinn from my mom, pumped up the tires, and test rode it yesterday. I go out this morning to ride with my girls and the back tire is flat…Well, that is to be expected. It has been forever since the bike has been ridden, so now I need to get new inner tubes for the tires. I will pick up 2, since I know if I only get one then the front will go next. LOL looking at the kids bikes I need to get a couple of tires for them. DS and DD2 both have bald tires on the back wheel.
DH is working out of the house this morning; he has been on the phone for the last 2 hrs. I don’t know how he manages to get anything done. I am working all weekend again, this evening Saturday morning all day Sunday and Monday evening. I am hoping for some good sales. Productive days over slow ones are always better.
Laura—Glad your Doc apt went well.

Annie—Prayers for your friend, Nell.

Michelle—Congrats on the new job!! I hope you are happier and have less stress in this new position!!

Melody—((hugs)) I just want to run over and give you a big bear hug! Sorry about the whole mess with your chairs.

Happy—Prayers for DH. I would have been freaking out! Isn’t it so much like a man to put off going to the doctor about something that could have been so very serious! Loved all your pics.

Shad—did you find your pictures yet? Our contract is up this month, but I am not ready to switch phones. I want a new smart phone, but not ready to learn all the in’s and out’s

Ceejay—you must be keeping super busy. How is the new modem at work…really fast? I love how new things seem really fast then after a few weeks seem just as slow as the old ones!

to patty, java and moni
Can I ask that everyone please pray for my mother, she is in the hospital for a total hip replacement today. I am hoping that she has a normal, safe recovery.
Ok, I am off to put together the “smaller” bike in preparation for DD3. Happy weekend everyone!!

It was too early for the outlets , so I headed back to the 'hood and gassed up the car, stopped at the bank for some cash. I opted for the teller vs the ATM cuz I needed smaller denominations for tip$ and ended up with the very young very cute personal banker & I'm now in a different account setup that waives the safe dep box fee & is no cost as long as I maintain the combined balance needed, which s/b no problem.

I was gonna go straight to my hair Appt by then, but had to run home & put in my contacts so I wouldn't be blind while the dye goo is in my hair.

Ellen, congrats on the 6 lb loss!!! My sympathies to your bank account - that's a lot of dentist bills I see coming in the near future!!

Ceejay, how are you liking your new phone??

Speaking of phones, battery is down to 9%, so I'll just post & get back to the fluffy mags. Toodles!

Ellen: saying a prayer for your mom. Hope the hip replacement surgery goes well. Congrats on those 6 pounds.

Annie
Hugs, prayers and sending good vibes to boot. If you said anything earlier about this I missed it.

Mel
I think we are all spoiled to a degree. I know exactly what you mean when it comes to explaining what is wrong with something. When I do that to my bosses they say huh, as if they really don't understand or shocked that I actually do know a few things.

-----
I'm getting out of town this week end. Going to Jonesboro, Arkansas to visit with bff tonight. Then on to Paragould tomorrow. I really would like to visit with my cousins who are going to be in Paragould tomorrow with out my aunt being present. She takes up all the time talking about herself. Doesn't let any one else have a word in edge wise. The know it all on medical stuff type person.
Weighed last night to find out that I was up to 204 , decided to take a fluid pill. This morning I'm down to 197, and my bloat is gone. From now on I'm taking a fluid me at least once a week or if ankles are swollen. This is one of the reasons I weigh on a daily basis. I may have to double the amount of potassium and I eat banana's and oranges, apples etc,

Hi ladies,

Sorry I didn't make it in here earlier - change of plans. DH wanted to check out a new ATV trail as well as looking at some trucks and he tempted me with lunch to come along. So much for well laid plans. Worth it though, lunch was a Friday fish fry - broiled haddock. Excellent. Small hole in the wall place in a town about 20 miles from here. The building was from the 1880's they say and it looks it. Fresh homemade food tho, soup was a fish chowder that was amazing. DH is looking at trucks now - something that can tow. Neither of us have or want to spend the money for one. And poopy gas mileage too. I say let's keep our 4Runner which tows and is fine even if it's 10 years old. Once it gets costly repairs, then we will look to replace it. Cars are so darn expensive

Michelle - saw your quick note as well as your note on FB. With a 4pm celebration does this mean they are not going to let you give your 2 week notice??? I am sooooo very happy that you were able to find something so quickly and can start right away. And since companies are constantly looking to cut costs and do so by cutting benefits, I think you were very smart to take a salary increase over benefits which might get reduced anyway. And as you have found, it's hard to get a decent salary offer so for you. What a load off your mind. I hope you will be very happy at the new place. Are you going back to your coding roots?

Ceejay - hope you have a good weekend. You sure are doing alot of travelling. Wow that fluid pill sure did it's thing, didn't it?

Laura - what's wrong with being blind while the hairdresser works on your head - I do it all the time? Glad everything was ok at the doctor and you check up went well. Always a good thing to hear.

Ellen - definitely sending some prayers for your Mom's speedy recovery from surgery Hope everything went well. Will someone be staying with her for a while or is she going into whatever it is they call it to help her get on her feet after surgery? Boy I don't envy you the dental bills. That is one thing I do envy about younger people - they have much nicer teeth and smiles because they do so much tweeking and correcting when they are youngers.

Thank you everyone for good thoughts for DH. Doctor gave him pills to relax him at night - the heart fluctuations tend to race at night which interferes with his sleep. He said he slept like a baby last night and was much cheerier today so I have to remember when he's cranky it usually means something else is going on...

Annie - cripes about your friend - geezzzzzz. Is this a complication from a prior surgery or just a new wrinkle to deal with? Prayers for a speedy recovery too. Well dang if most of you ladies aren't doing the potassium too. So many things to learn, hard to keep up with stuff. How neat you found Lil Monkey's first tooth he seems too young to have teeth yet, how they are growing! Glad things cleared up with you and DD too.

Mel - having a short little body that does not fit well into standard chairs myself I can totally appreciate the importance that a custom fitted chair would provide you as well as that is the key to your mobility. I'm sorry they can't fix the old one, I hope they can find the spit and gumption to keep the others working for a while. Your living room must be a parking pad for keeping the chairs charged and ready to go. It's ok to rant, we understand - if you can't rant then none of us can and that would make for a bunch of frustrated chicks and when chicks get frustrated their feathers (hair) falls out leaving sad little patches of bare skin and we can't have any of that so vent your frustrations and then move on. So... lack of potassium also makes you discombobulated??? that explains it, I thought DH was just getting goofier I will try to be more tolerant. I LOVED the bird and roses graphic. ♥

Shaddie - did you find your pictures after all? I hope the phone did not wind up in the loo - there's other ways to make a splash in your life I understand what you mean about the insurance - not sure if we should go to the doctor more to get the most for our dollars (and insurance is costing us a BUNDLE now) or avoid the doctor because we can't afford anything else after paying the monthly premium. On the other hand, it is nice to know we can get checked out if we need it. It really is a betting game, can't afford to be without it IF something dire comes along - and sometimes that can be an innocent trip on the stairs or something - not necesarily an illness based emergency. Happy Birthday to your friend Chris, how is she doing?

Ok, well I'm going to sign off, take a peek to see if L.B. (little bunny) found the lettuce I left for him and maybe go watch some tv. Have a good night chicks.

Hi all,

looks like we are in for some rain the next few days. That's because we need to wash the cars and I have stuff outside I want to do

I also have to go to the grocery store and it looks like the skies are about to open up, I'm sure it's just waiting for me to step outside

I feel like there are so many things I want to do (all at once) - don't know where to start, always second guessing myself on what's the priority. Best to just make a list, stick with it and remind myself that things ARE getting done.

Nothing exciting going on so I'll go finish off my grocery list. Have a good weekend everyone.
