Default "S" in Wisconsin -- too dang early if you ask me.

Laura - Have fun at exercise class if you go. I'll be doing Wii Fit tonight, and probably tomorrow on my lunch hour as well. I saw this photo taken today from a newspaper in the Appleton WI area (just south of Green Bay, WI). I am so not ready for "S" or "W".

Popping in to say hello. Absolutely nothing going on. It's sunny but a bit on the chilly side. This week has been busy.

Went out at lunch and it was very windy and drizzily. Ugh.

Hi Ceejay. Looking forward to seeing the sun again!

Morning all,
Seems I didn't post yesterday, but then I was fairly busy. The pest control man came, and he didn't stop talking for a couple of hours. Why are all pest control men so chatty? Scotty rang in the middle of it and I told him to hang on while I gave his name and the Big T's name to the pest control people. Lucky he has a sense of humour. I pulled out all the old plants in the vege patch and dug it over and then fertilised it and dug it again. Still needs more organic matter but will do that later tonight. Seems we are headed for 35C again today. Getting hot already. And it is not yet humid so it's good burning heat out there at the moment.

Today I have to finish off my documentation and head for the Post Office to post off a parcel. Then do a bit of shopping for fruit and veg. Might try that about lunch time when it gets too hot to work at the dining room table - although I guess I could always turn the aircon on.

Anyway.....
Happy, safe travels. You may discover something at the end of this shift that you lost in the last shift, who knows.

Mel - elections, building disasters, what next in NJ. I've attached a maintenance plan that I think your lot could cope with. Pinched it off facebook yesterday. We are thinking of adopting it instead of training the real stuff in the next rollout.

Laura - Hope you got to the exercise class yesterday. You exercise you. Have you talked b/f into the movies over the weekend?

Ceejay - are you still cleaning up. Get out of the pipe and come talk to us

Annie - hope the stuff works for lil monkey and he is okay with it. The lookon the face when they find something awful is priceless. Hows it going with the roomie?

Michelle - How's the DH's knee coming along. I really do hope the pair of you get some relief from pain very soon. No C decorations in this house. Don't even think I will be here for it. Lord knows where I will go.

Better go get on with a bit of work. I should finish going through the doco today and also get a bit of a start on the corrections and then think about what else may be required.
PS Miss Puss is on a hunger strike. Doesn't like her biscuits, doesn't like her tinned food. Wants yoghurt and milk - age isn't improving that one. She is 14 this month.

Morning all.

Shad - Sounds like a productive morning in the veg patch. Well, there is a positive to the cold weather after all - kills off a lot of the bugs and they aren't pests year-round. We do get the initial round of spiders coming inside though to escape the cold... but no exterminator necessary.

Mel - Hmmm, what's going on with the thread by you? I haven't experienced any wonkiness problems...yet. Sorry you've got nastiness there. Hang tough!! Have a relaxing day.

Hellos to the rest of my Worldly sisters.
===
I was still sore from Monday's advanced class last night so I decided to skip exercise class. Instead I went to the market and picked up a few items not on hand for some chicken soft tacos. The closest store to us is part of a chain, and it used to do really well years ago, but now this store is like a tomb. I honestly don't know how they stay open.

I was ticked to not find any local brands of the plain old corn or flour tortillas and instead only found the name brand/fancy ones - flavored, multigrain, fiber and flax, etc. Ended up w/ a bigger-than-I-wanted bag of plain corn tortillas. Have to make sure we use them up, or perhaps freeze some. Not too keen on freezing them because you just know they'll all stick together... I was also not happy with the measly 3-4 bunches of cilantro I had to choose from. Why oh why did that nice new produce store across the street from this place have to close their doors???!!! They were only around a couple months, but I do miss them.

Tonight I'll get to a circuit class.

Well, it's not sunny today, but it's not raining either. It is chilly, but I'm looking forward to a warmup in a day or two.

Cheers!

Hey guuurrlllzzz

Lil Monkey is 4 lb 11 oz....up another ounce. Making a lot of grunting, squeaking noises when I was there. Think he mighta filled his diaper. Scrunches up his face too. Made me laugh.

Ceejay...I do not like to rake leaves and don't...eventually they will all blow away or scrunch into the ground or S will cover them.

Laura...sounds like you pushed too hard on the exercising the other night. Yeah when you freeze tortilla they either get sticky or crunchy...just not good.

MELLIE....Jake coming home might be a little while longer...the little stinker keeps holding his breath which causes his monitors to go off. Until that stops, he cannot go home. blah. I keep giving him a stern talking too, but he is a bit stubborn...hmmmm, like his mommie maybe?

Shaddie...so far so good with Curtis. However it has only been a week. haha. He is a sweetie so far. Even takes the trash out, gives me money, and clears the dishes after dinner. Does laundry on his day off on Wednesday. I would love to do your gardening for you. One of my very favorite things to do.

Chelle...come up for air sister...how is DH doing with the shot?

Happy...hope your travels are going smoothly!

Have a great evening/morning...I will be making a few extra bucks at CVS tonight.

Loves and hugs.

Evening all,
Short and sweet since I am soooooo tired. Don't know why. Been busy and finished the doco except for the ones that have to be redone. Yesterday was stinking hot, finally gave in and put the aircon on, today wasn't so bad.

Garden is coming along. I dug half of it over this morning and fertilsed it ready for the next lot of plants. I have lettuce and corn and tomatos to put in. They need to go in tomorrow. Better trim up the hedge first though otherwise I will be treading on them trying to wrestle the hedge into shape.

Anne - good to hear that the wee monkey is doing all the right things. Just needs to do a few more 'natural' things like breathing rather than filling the nappy. My vege garden is not big and is easy to manage once I get it straight and take away the weeds. There is a lot to do out the front - like finishing the wall. That will only get worse before it gets better. DS2 will bring in an excavator to level out the lawn area and dig the drainage trench. Then I can get to and put in plants and hopefully stop some of the weeks out there. So if you have ever wanted to have a go on those digger things Ill let you know when it is coming so you can hot foot it over here.

Happy is no doubt setting out on her journey as we speak. Safe travels friend.

Ceejay - glad to hear that you are out of the drains. I went for a run/ walk this morning - so up you get over to the gym.

Laura - doesn't it drive you crazy when you only want a couple of a particular item and you have to buy a packet of 6 or eight and you know you will turf them out because you can't eat them quickly enough. I get really mad with the 'bulk' buying when there is only one of me and no big freezer.

Mel - hope you are okay and just a bit tired and not wearing yourself out. This site does some weird things from time to time. Never can quite work it out. Most times I don't have problems but just now and again it swallows my post or won't let me in or whatever.
Glad you enjoyed the PM flow chart.

Better move on, nearly time for my boyfriend to be on tv. After that I'm off to bed. Don't even want to eat much. Just drink and fruit seems to be the rule of the day.

Good Morning and TGIF..S for Shaddie...fo sho!!

Me thinks that life is just plumb wearing me out. At least I am happy! I was so tired last night, I fell asleep on the couch and Curtis came in to make me go to bed and he couldn't even wake me, he got down and listened for breathing. lol. So he had the big bed all to himself last night...he didn't like it...isn't that sweet? lol

Hella B is being a turd lately and waking one of us up at night to go out. She just started this a couple of weeks ago. She will be 12 in February, maybe it is age related. Sheesh I hope not. I am afraid if I don't let her out she will P somewhere, altho she never has, there is always a first time.

Cold and 28 this morning. Buurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Jeans day on Fridays so that is good. I wore a hoodie, warm socks, jeans and tennis shoes. Was a little nippy on the walk in from the parking garage but supposed to be 50 by lunch when I go see lil monkey.

One of the schools has 12 police running around today as someone spray painted a "hit list" on the boys bathroom wall yesterday. Names of teachers, administrators and students they plan to kill. Going to school today for the students was up to the parent's discretion. It will not go against their attendance if they do not go to school. I say stay home if it were my kid. Authorities are viewing the cameras in the hallways to see who all went into that bathroom then start an investigation. What the H*LL are parents teaching/not teaching these kids, where are the morals and supervision. Heck with time outs, beat their a$$e$.

SHADDIE...sounds like you just wore yourself out with physical work yesterday. I wish I could have a garden year round. I still have tomatos to eat from my garden and I did freeze salsa and grated zucchini. That is it.

MELLIE....I sent you a box full of magazines of all sorts for you to fumble through when you are having a Melliday. You should get it in a couple of days.

Hello to the rest of my worldlie sistas. Have a terrific day/night.

Love and hugs.

Happy Friday ladies -

I have to keep this short...my entire team is going into a 4-hour training class on maximizing your unique talents and strengths at work. Heck, I don't even know what my strengths ARE. I hope we cover that first! Yesterday was a very busy day working from home and taking care of DH. DH's back is still quite sore from the shot, but his knee seems to be a little better. Over the next week or so, the pain in both his back and knee should ease up.

This weekend is going to be jam packed with website work and working outside doing the last of the winter prep, including mulching the leaves - since yesterday's dusting of "S" has melted, and cleaning out the gutters. Normally DH does that...but since he just had a procedure to help his knee...I don't want him going up and down a ladder. And I have to do the usual...laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning.

************

Mel - I hope things get better for you soon, sista. I'm glad you got some well-deserved downtime yesterday!

Shad - I hope the "pest" control guy was able to take care of the phone pests too! Hope you're enjoying the weekend! If you can, please send some of that warm weather this way. It's been really chilly here the past couple days. I am grateful that it will be in the 50s this weekend so I won't freeze while working outside. I loved that engineering/maintenance diagram. I posted it on FB...did you get it off my page or from someone else's? I hope Miss Puss is eating better today. 14, huh? Please give her a big hug for me (if she'll let you). Just hearing about your garden is making me feel "warmer". Wish it were gardening time here too. We have to get through the "W" season first.

Laura - Are you still in pain? Take it easy, my friend, and don't overdo it. I hope you and bf have a fun weekend! Chicken soft tacos sounds so yummy. Sorry that you couldn't find your fave local brands.

Annie - Saying prayers every day for the lil monkey. Big to him, to you and to Sam. Wow, Curtis takes the trash out, gives you money, does laundry AND clears the dinner dishes?! Definitely a keeper!! Awww, you poor thing fell asleep on the couch last night! I hope you aren't too stiff and sore today. Scary stuff about the "hit list" at the school. I totally agree with ya' about lack of discipline and morals in kids nowadays. Hope you and C have a great weekend! Please give the lil monkey hugs from his Auntie Chelle.

Ceejay - I hope all the clogs and backups are cleared and everything is flowing normally. Safe travels if you go to Jonesboro or Paragould. I don't rake the leaves. We have 10 or 11 trees (most of them BIG) in the yard, and the amount of leaves dropped is just too much to rake. So we mulch the leaves with the mower. With all these trees, cleaning the gutters is a real chore too. But I'm very grateful for the lovely trees providing shady spots here and there in the summer.

Wow! I really did try and keep this brief...oh well. Sending Happy and her DH good wishes for a safe move.

Here's to a great day and a wonderful weekend for all of us!!

Much love and many hugs,

Michelle and Annie
I've been mulching the leaves but yesterday was too cold to get outside. Pine needles are hard to mulch with my small lawn mower.

Annie
So glad that the little one is growing so fast. You have been doing a lot more since the baby has arrived. How is your daughter doing?

Michelle
Be careful climbing up and down the ladder.

Mel
hope your week end is a good one.

---------
I'm planned on staying home this week end. I've been going so much it's wearing me out. My neighbor called yesterday and asked me if I were going this week end. Think she has been spoiled. I need to go to a water meeting next week end and run a few errands in Jonesboro.
Called my uncle last night as he had been having some ear problems but he was diagnosed as losing his hearing. He said that it may be hereditary. I know that I'm losing my hearing.
The land lord's men came yesterday to check on the plug in's and they are dead. They'll be back today to replace them.
I gotta get busy in the office and get it cleaned then the whole house will be clean. I need some more storage space.

Just a few days ago and I had the air conditioner on. This morning it's the heat. Looked outside early this morning to see frost on the roof's and car window's. I'm not liking this at all.

SHAD.......I CAME ACROSS A RECIPE THAT WAS CALLED "WHITE CHRISTMAS SLICE".
I HAVE A QUESTION (or maybe 2 or 3).....

IS IT WORTH ALL THE BOTHER OF DESICATING COCONUT AS THE RECIPE CALLS FOR?

IS IT ANY GOOD?!?!

ONE RECIPE SAYS YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE WHITE CHOCOLATE FOR THE MELTED SHORTENING?!?!?! NOT CRAZY ABOUT THE MELTED SHORTENING IDEA ANYWAY.

I HAD TO GOOGLE "RICE BUBBLES"....WTF!!!!!!
