Me again. I just spent an hour in the laundry room sorting and organizing. Now I'm going to check out the kitchen.
I'm lonely. Somebody post.

Hi Lush,
Can't have you being lonely... so I will say hello. I am busy working in my office, we own our own business.. but will take a break.
Wabby glad you are feeling better. Just remember not to over do. You did just have surgery.... now... don't get well to fast *that they notice anyway* you can get at least another week or two of rest out of this...
Lush, your laundry room must be Perfect now... I am doing that with the files etc. as I close off the year, and get things started for the new year.. putting more files onto the computer etc. I hate clutter....
Is that Miss Letty for real? She sounds like a real Nut to me. You find all kinds on here I guess I just don't follow what is going on.....
Since I began a new healthier way of eating last monday with dh.. I have gone down 2 pounds.. and I find my stomach is shrinking ,, that is my goal... so I can be Perfect 2009 early..
Ok. well have to get back to work.. later gals,
Dahlia

Oh Dalhia, you are so sweet.
My laundry requires more than an hour to become perfect, but it is coming along.
I am making a lovely ham for dinner. No one is going out tonight, but me, so I can make a big mess in the kitchen.
I am making my list in the journal, but that is so uninspiring. I'm going to post one now. Here.
I'm listening to a Lisa Scottoline(sp) book right now. It is OK. It is keeping me occupied. It is overdue at the library. It horrifies me that I am actually paying to listen to this. It isn't worth it. It is so hard to find a good book on tape anymore.

In my humble opinion...
...that Herbie should be made to fork out for the fridge that Peaches isn't getting because it's *all his fault*. A side-by-side with an ice maker in the door would be the least he could do.
Hi Dahlia. Don't let Letty scare you. Rumour has it that she's just a fig newton of someone's imagination, but we love her like a sister.

Hello Cows! I have done my Cross-Train express- Power Circuit tape, which also has a back workout. I also cleaned my living room some more. You may think this means I am already Perfect, but alas, I still don't fit into any of my clothes.

Cherry's naked!
Just kidding, Cherry-cutie! You are doing so well! Makes me tired just reading your fitness journal. THIS will be the year we finally do it, right?
I did 15 on the cross-trainer this morning. Praise me. It was all I could manage in my present state of exaustion, but it's a start. Watched some of Tea with Mussolini while I was on there. Where do they get all these adorable little boys for movies? Breaks my heart to watch them.
Glad to see you up and about, Wabby! But please don't overdo it. Where can I get a wiener dog cursor??
Oh boy, Kiwi! Things are looking a bit rough, eh? Is dh optimistic about the whole thing?
Off to fold laundry. If I had spent an hour in my laundry room (which I haven't), I *might* have been able to dig down to the second sedimentary layer of dirty clothes. It's just nuts in there.

Lush, the reason you need to be lazy when your DH is so active is because it keeps the universe in balance. The yin and yang principle, the opposites attract principle, all those principles would be thrown totally off if you changed your ways. That's why I let my DH work so hard. Just doing my part to keep the universe from spinning out of control.
Dahlia, you're making me feel like a slacker here. I should be doing all that year end stuff w/ the books too. Yeeech. Let's talk about what you're growing this spring. Do you do mostly annuals? What kinds? Tell me more.
I made a lovely ham for dinner too, Lush. Actually it was precooked from the grocery store w/ that honey glazed stuff that they crisp up w/ a burnzamatic torch. Then they spiral slice it and charge double for it. I only bought it because I absolutely couldn't think of anything to make for dinner. And the butcher guy was so nice.
I went to the Dr. yesterday, he predicted that if I was feeling this good, this soon, that within 30 days I will be feeling 10 years younger!! He said that the condition of my gall bladder would had to have caused me to be dragging, whether I realized it or not. So go get your gall bladder yanked and you'll be a new woman!!!!! I have a feeling it will take more than that to make me feel 36 again.
Sugar, you are my idol. I praise you. Good girl. Thatta gal. Way to go. Is that good enough? And Cherry, same to you. You young'ns are an inspiration. I'll ask DH's gf where she got the weiner dog cursor, Sugar.
I still have no hopes of actually getting to the bottom of my laundry room hampers. If I did, my DS would just excavate his room and I'd be starting over. Does anyone here actually get to the point of wiping down your washer and dryer?

Hi kids. That's about all I have to say.
Except that Miss Letty disappears if she turns sideways.
Way to go Sugar and Cherry. I am going to go do my workout right now. :jog:

Hello ladies,
Wabby, I confess, I do wipe down my washer and dryer, whenever i give the bathroom a good cleaning, cause my laundry room is right in the bathroom. it's a large room...but that isn't to often.. my guestion is how can something that washes our clothing using soap and water get so dirty?? ever look inside between your tub and the shell... wowee.... !!!!
(((((((I'll ask DH's gf where she got the weiner dog cursor, Sugar))))). Wabby, your dear husband has a girlfriend....?????
I hope you mean you DS
Wabby, what kind of business do you and hubby have? Do I remember right when I think construction., how many employees do you have? We plant a lot of annuals, but we also do some periennials, and also things like peonies, clematis, hostas, etc.
I took the morning off to go to town with my ds and the grandbabies,, then they stayed for lunch and played awhile, so now I better get back to work.. have to get started on this year's price lists.
Wabby, enjoy the get well gift.. and soak up all this attention.. unfortunately it don't last, the attention that is... so enjoy it while you can.. and also, if you can't lay around in your jammies now then when can you? It's as good an excuse as ever...
Don't be in a rush to get back to work.. it will be there..H
Hello to everyone else.. Peachy congrats. on the new house.. my DS#2 just bought one also, he is in Calif..... it's an exciting time.
take care,
Dahlia

Yeah, that's a mystery, isn't it? Or the dishwasher, even worse -- when it occurs to me to wipe out the inside of that around the edges, it's really horrific to see what has accumulated while I thought I was innocently washing dishes!
We were looking at some old videos last night and DH commented on how "clean the house looked". Probably because the kitchen floor actually looked like it had been mopped in its lifetime. I had to inform him that it doesn't get cleaned anymore because whenever I mop it, several more tiles disintegrate and I don't have the heart to keep doing it. It's true. Only about 2/3 of the floor is left. And I despair of ever being able to do something about it.
Today DH went to the bankruptcy hearings for his company. So far it looks like he will continue to be paid (vacation weeks) for the time being. Of course actually seeing the checks will be more convincing. But no real idea of when or if the mill will start up. This is really depressing, I can tell you. Not because we will be in terrible straits or anything, just that, selfishly, I don't see me getting my new house. Meanwhile this dump is in that much worse condition than it was last year. Did I tell you we have a black plastic garbage bag hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen to guide the water that leaks from the ceiling into a bucket on the counter? Aren't you jealous?
Oh well. I did exercise today. I am almost getting better at it. I actually did some jumping jacks! {pat pat pat}

Hey, Dahlia, everybody will tell you I'm easy going. We gave a glass business, we do mostly new commercial construction aluminum storefronts & entrances. We have 3 guys who work for us, plus DS, DH & me. I love peonys, hostas & clematis!!! I have some of each, but of course I always need one more. I have a serious plant buying problem. The biggest problem now is finding a spot to fit the new ones in.
Kiwi, just do what I do when the state of the house get to you - get out of it for awhile. Or look out the window at the view or just grit your teeth. I figure my time for the new house will come, and I'll just appreciate it all the more. In the mean time I try to concentrate on what I do have. Call me Pollyanna. Excuse me for being so perky. It's easy for me to give advice when I don't have a DH underfoot. He's busy w/ his girlfriend

OK Wabby my darling you did say that DH has a gf? I was wondering about that too? You can not be that easy going or are you just being funny as usual?
I want flowers here too. I hope to be able to plant some pretty stuff this year in baskets and stuff. I am going to grow tomatoes again can lots of them cause I them so much. I love going out first thing in the morning and eatting them warm from the sunshine. I am going to grow strawberries again in planters this year also. Last year the birds loved me for my plants. I want to get stuff the will be pretty in hanging baskets.
Kiwi I am so sorry about your DH plant closing. Ihope it starts up soon and he gets all his vacation pay. Has he gone for unemployment yet? I can't remember.
Dahlia I have to laugh about washing the washer and dryer down. My ex was anal over that. I couldn't have a laundry basket on the washer even! No wonder he is my ex!
SugP 15 on the cross trainer means what to a unedumacated person like me?
CHerry you also cross train? What is a cross trainer? It is like a cross dresser?
Bagzz Miss Milquetoast means what? Geesh I am so off tonight I guess.
Lush I have my laundry room done finally. I just have to fold one load and dry the other and fold that. Do I need to wipe down washer and dryer? Do I have to wipe down shelves above washer and dryer also?
OK I am off now ladies sorry I had so many questions.
Brattie

Is a cross trainer the same as a cross dresser?
Just tying to confuse you, Brattie! The thing we have is actually called an elliptical strider. It's supposed to be a combination of an exercise bike, a stepper and a treadmill. Bagzie says it's like slogging through mud. I did 15 whole minutes yesterday. I have no stamina.
Today I did my weight routine before the kids even went off to school. Felt slightly nauseated, but that's nothing new for me. Having my 10 o'clock banana and Diet Pepsi snack now. June would be proud. Gotta lose the Pepsi, though. Bad, bad stuff in there. I read it on the internet!
My pregnant friend is about to pop any day. Her practically estranged dh was all keen on getting her a colour tv. She didn't want one but he insisted. When I was over there I suggested to her that she get a little freezer (about the same size as a tv here in mini-appliance land) instead, because all she has is a weeny one in her tiny fridge. She mentioned this to him and his comment was, "What the heck do you need a freezer for? You've lived here for 7 years without one. You can go shopping every day!" Oh yes, we all know how much fun grocery shopping with a newborn, or worse, a toddler, can be, especially every day. He finally broke down and she got her freezer instead of the tv. The guy is such a jerk. I'd like to kick him around the block a few times. She needs to get rid of him ASAP. He's hardly ever physically there, but the mental stress is driving her crazy. She still does his laundry, sweet soul that she is. He needs a couple of rounds in the looney bin, and I'm not just being mean, he really is nutz.
Did I mention that the parental units have moved once again? They swear this will be their last house. They bought it from this darling little ancient Chinese lady whose husband died 3 years ago and Mummy swears the old guy is still walking the halls whispering advice about where to put things. Mummy's like that, you know, which is probably why I turned out like this!
I am making chicken bacon brochettes for dinner. Basically bacon- wrapped chicken on a stick. With mushrooms in between. Yum.

Wow, Sugar, you are the happy homemaker. chicken wrapped in bacon sounds wonderful.
Perfect 2009 is fine because I woke up this morning with no alarm. I am concerned about my new job. DS has been sick, I mean REALLY Sick this week. I haven't been able to work. What can I do? I had that great first week, they called me at the beginning of this week, but now they've stopped. Should I call?
Kiwi, I'm sure the mill will start up again. In PA, where I'm from, the mills shut down between owners, but then start up again. Are there any other mills around? Is it the only game in town?
I have a cold...again... our collective family immune system is not doing so well. We're constantly sick this year.
Must go. bye
