Annie - You snuck in! People who tailgate and then flip me off or yell drive me crazy. b'tards!! Like you, I never go more than 4 mph over the posted speed - anywhere. I've had plenty of speeding tickets, and do NOT want any more.

Good Morning everyone! My appt went well, had to wait for almost an hour but was not too bad since DD3 was there and played the whole time. Doc gave me some meds to help, I still have to pick them up at the phamacy. I Was going to go today but is it raining cats and dogs, maybe will get a chance to run out this afternoon after DS gets home so I don't have to take the baby out with me.

Will catch back up later today or tomorrow happy Hump day!

Ellen - I'm so glad to hear you went to see the doc and got some meds. Definitely try and pick up your meds today because the sooner you start, the sooner you'll feel better.

Ellen
Glad you went to the doctor. Hope you can get the med's soon. Don't blame you for not wanting to drive in the rain.

Mel
I'm beginning to think that you are right-reason the rant. Sometimes I think she has a double personality, but I'm not a doctor either. She was her normal self this morning. Think all these tornado's has spooked her.

Annie
Don't blame you for driving the speed limit. What bugs me is when they come barreling down the road then pass me and turn one block ahead of me making me slam on the brakes.

-------
I'm like Mel and don't have much to report. Went out on the clarifier yesterday and found a bird nest in an old electrical box. Told B about it this morning so he could discard it. He couldn't bring himself to do it cause their was one egg in it. There wasn't any yesterday. My boss/friend came over went out on the clarifier and discarded the nest/egg and all. I almost cried. I saw the mother bird come back to the nest and was startled that nothing was there.
Like Happy we are suppose to get some storms this afternoon. I'm dreading them. I hope that they get here before the light office goes home at 5 p.m.
I have a few more things to do to get ready for the inspection Wednesday.
And today is the last 12 hours of the 60. I'm so happy. I'm going to try to sleep in tomorrow. Don't have to be in Jonesboro till 11 tomorrow.. My bff's appointment is at 1.00 p.m.

Howdy kids,

Oh boy - Jillian has Pamela Anderson big honkers in today's ad At least she's covered in a sports bra. I heard she is leaving Biggest Loser. And that they are going to start focusing on healthy eating and living instead of thinly veiled commercial ads for products. Maybe I will watch again, probably not, I need to give up my TV habit. We are due for some bad storms this afternoon. Little stuff is starting to pop up on the radar. My coworker started the day crunching ice, moved to crunchy baby carrots and is kicking off the afternoon snapping gum - chewing loudly and snapping. I wish they never invented the TV remote control and gum. And cell phones. So there! I guess it's time to haul out the Ipod and ear phones.

Annie - as far as I'm concerned you are in the slow right lane - as long as you are doing the MINIMUM speed limit people have no right to beeyotch at you. But then again people are generally an ignorant bunch nowadays. Me, I'd go 2 miles slower and keep tapping the brake if they are gating me. I generally follow traffic and go 5 miles over the speed limit if the road is dry. We have cops all around so there are places where I laugh at the speedy gonzalez's and hope the police get them.

Ceejay - be careful up your way - you're getting the worst of the weather. Protect that new car from hail damage!

Ellen - I hope you find time to get to the pharmacy and pick up your order.

Michelle - are you getting your Zumba on again? sounds like you found a way to get your happy stuff on while still playing by the rules for keeping it low impact. I guess you are the Zumba queen with a teeny, tiny 3 inch crown - hahahahaha at the idea of it and you shyly grinning

shoot - gotta run. Later.

Oh Ceejay - my heart is crying for that poor birdie! Was the nest interferring with anything? If not, why not leave it?

Ceejay - That's so sad about the momma bird coming back to no nest and no egg. I wouldn't have been able to discard it either. You made it to the end of the 60 hours! Yay! Enjoy your days off. I hope the storms are mild.

Happy - Jillian is leaving TBL and they're replacing her with Anna Kournikova (sp?) the tennis pro. It will be nice to see less product placement on the show. I hope you and Ceejay don't get hit with bad storms. Bummer about your loud co-worker. As for Zumba, we're doing Zumba on the ball, still not as fun as regular Zumba...but it's non-weight bearing and as long as I keep my core tight and back/pelvis properly aligned, my PT is okay with it.

Mel - I'm so so sorry to hear you're having so much pain! Sending you healing thoughts and prayers, my dear friend.

Morning all,

Still bobbing along and weathering the pain and jitters of people stretched and stressed to high heaven at the pointy end of the project. I'm now of the opinion that what will be will be and we'll go with that. Only another week till training begins and I go away on my Central Queensland odyssey.
Yesterday I had to go buy new boots for site work and grabbed a couple of hi vis shirts and some trousers and socks as well. That blew a hole in the budget, but I get tax relief for them. And they will last me for years as long as I don't put anymore weight on.

Mel will not be in today - she sent me an e-mail and told me to look after all the chickens in the coop - so consider yourselves looked after. Actually what she said was 'HOLD THE FORT'. But I am too busy to repel the hoardes so you may have to watch out for yourselves for today. Yell if the pirates get too close will ya.

Gotta go, check out the news and get on with timesheeting.

Hello everyone.

Michelle – So nice you can take the doggies with you on your weekend getaway. Glad the extra website work is coming through to help you in your time of need! Glad to hear the extra exercise and other physical activity is going well for you and your back!

Annie – How did dd’s dr appt go? Hope all is well. Sorry to hear about Butter. So heartbreaking to hear about the plight of people like Glen, unless you have a heart of stone, sure you’d get emotional. That Rapture guy must really be something else to lead people to do what they did – quitting jobs, committing suicide. Horrible. And now he changes the date, stringing people along. I hope people come to their senses about him. Jerky drivers! Ignore them!

Happy – Sounds like some storm you had the other day! I made it to the train station on my bike this morning before the rain really got going, but had to walk in the downpour once I got downtown. My slacks below the knee were soaked! Thunder & lightning too, but no hail. Re Harry Potter – all the women in the movie group and book club have kids, so depending on their ages, many would have gone to the HP movies with their kids. As for books – since it was a whole series of books (LONG books I hear), I doubt it would have been brought up as a book club choice. So…what’s the difference between a regular tv antenna and a digital one? Guess I’d tune in to TBL to see what the changes are. I’m sure there will be no change to the amount of drama – don’t like that.

Ceejay – I was concerned too after hearing about Joplin – 75 miles away from Springfield, MO. So glad it didn’t strike there! Glad you spoke up to the co-worker re the rant – with those long hours, listening to that is just not something you want to do after a long workday. So sad about the bird losing her egg and nest! Drive safely tomorrow.

Shad – Ah, there are at least three of us on the outside of the Harry Potter book & movie world!

Mel – I may be completely uninformed because I watch practically no news and listen to only a bit more than that, but I know if I were spending time watching coverage of all the tragedies – tornado and tsunami/earthquake devastation, etc. I’d probably be a complete basketcase because they are so horrible and the stories are so sad. Glad things have been quiet around the building – “no news is good news”. Oh I hope your back problem isn't serious -take care!!

Ellen - glad you got to the doctor, got the meds rx to get you feeling better.

Didn’t leave work early yesterday to get to the earlier exercise class, and I skipped the later one as well. I’m such a slacker! Tonight’s a hair appointment. Tomorrow & Sat. morning will be Circuit classes. Looking forward to Friday - the office closes a couple hours early, so that’s nice.

I think our lockset problem isn’t as difficult to remedy as we originally thought because the part we need is available – except bf wants to try and salvage the old one so that we don’t have to worry about having a smaller strike plate than we have now and having to re-paint the door. I don’t think painting the door would be pleasant, but it actually needs it already, so I think we should replace that old lockset with a new one.

The other manager finally got terminated yesterday. I think all the details had already been determined, so it was probably anticlimactic for her - just signing a "separation letter". When the mgr told me (after lunch) that it was probably going to be her final day, she seemed somewhat relieved, since she said the environment had gotten steadily worse. Who needs that when the outcome is a foregone conclusion? I’ll miss her and hope to stay in touch with her.

Okay, I’ve been trying to finish this all afternoon, so I’m going to get this posted NOW.

The storms barely missed us. We got a bit of rain. The tornado siren went
off this afternoon also. It's located across the street in the electrical department's lot. It's really l--o--u--d.

Mel
Sending you good vibes.

Laura
It's sad when they gain up on some one to fire them. Count me in on the Harry Potter books/movies. I've tried to watch some on tv but they didn't interest me.

Shad
At least you can come up for air.

Good morning ladies,

It's refreshingly cool this morning after another round of bad storms yesterday. I will be glad to get out of here. Like the earthquakes around the world, the storms are getting pretty nasty. I see there is a freeze warning up north this morning. 38 degrees at 7am. Guess I will have to have a plan for protecting my garden!

DH went up north and picked up a hunk of granite so we were able to pick out a color for the bathroom. Guess the guys are ready to paint. The cabinets aren't done - I guess they will be ready next week. Tile is all in, DH said I could probably try out my new soaking tub this weekend. He is getting antsy already. He can't do anything much here at the house because he has to watch the guys - they take alot of shortcuts and do sloppy work which is typical of what we've found down here. Would be ok if you were paying bargain prices for the work but we aren't. Won't be perfect but it will be done right! So he can't even go in the yard and do work - doesn't want to leave them alone in the house. It's frustrating for him because there's so much to do. I feel the same sitting at work when there's lots to do here. Just gotta plug away at it.

Ceejay - I'm glad you didn't get whacked with the storms. Big blob of red on the radar yesterday up your way. I imagine this makes for a busy day at work for you. I can just picture you calling that guy a (birdy) murderer

Mel - sorry to hear about your pain Rest up and make sure you put yourself number 1. I hope it's not gall bladder - that's usually chest pain not back pain. Keep us posted.

Shad - how long does this contract run? Will you be going out in the field to train?

Laura - glad you got the door fixed. I'm kind of like you when it comes to the news - so much bad going on that I don't much pay attention to it. Stopped reading the paper years ago.

Michelle - Zumba on a balance ball! Wow - I bet even I could do that - sounds like fun!

Annie - all good with Sissy at the doctor? I smiled at your comment about zits and the first of many sufferings for your kid

Kids getting over their colds Ellen?

Gotta go feed Mr. Feral and chase a rogue cat out of our yard. My life with cats

Have a good Thursday!

Good morning ladies!

I can't beleive the weather we are having. DD3 decided to sint by the door and watch the rain yesterday, that held her attention for about a min, then since the door was open she walked out and started to play in the rain. I let her play for a little while, it was not too cold. She got really muddy and "painted" the side of the house with some mud. Got her all cleaned up, then she took her nap.

THe other kiddies are all getting excited the school year wraps up on June 6th. I am just hoping with them home all day I can get thru some of this stuff and get the house cleaned up a bit.

I picked up my meds yesterday and took them in the early evening, too soon to tell if they are helping, but I slept pretty well last night and that is part of my problems is not getting into the deep sleep at night. IT is grey, cool and rainy here today, need to clean off my desk gather the bills and get ready to pay them all tomorrow. DH gets paid once a month so it really is all the money comes in, then goes right back out...thankfully my job we get paid every 2 weeks so it helps even things out for grocery shopping and gas.

BEen reading and catching up here for about an hour so I must be off. will try to post from work tomorrow or saturday.

Have a lovely Memorial day! (I will be working OT) stay safe!
