Good Afternoon, Flowers! The sun is shining and it's 38 degrees this afternoon! We really intended to go to first service in order to hear the substitute organist play, but we both were dragging. So just went to second service -- bells were awesome (I'm quoting members who said so) and the band too loud (my opinion). I have washed everything in my curio cabinet and Bob cleaned the glass shelves for me. I'm going to cover the light hole and maybe keep out some dust that way. I need to do some laundry when I finish here.

"Gma" -- I have a lot of laundry this week too. I accused Bob of hiding undies and socks in the back of the closet! Our insurance is the same way; it won't pay for name brand until you've tried generic and it doesn't work as well. I once asked my "old" doctor what the difference between the two would be, and he said usually it is the coating on the outside which doesn't always agree with the patient's innards. I've never heard of weddings and funerals being held in the same place before. Let us know what kind of a "good" guy you are going to be. to Thomas on being in the Beta Club!

Maggie -- I'm seriously thinking about a nap. My week at church, 4 funerals, and the kids here most of yesterday, is catching up with me! Bob keeps all kinds of tools in his pickup to help anyone stuck or whose car won't start. I remember a time or two, as a kid, when my dad would stop and help someone while my mom and I sat in the car.

Susan -- What are you doing today? ??

I need to get busy on laundry and do some ironing. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Jean -- from Iowa!

Good evening, ladies! We had a nice day in the low 60s.

Maggie, I made the bean soup recipe you sent this morning. It's the best I ever had and so easy to do. I cooked it on the stove instead of the crockpot so I could have some for lunch. I divide the rest into single servings and put them into the freezer.

Jean, isn't it funny how much we loved to play in the snow as children and how much we hate to be out in it now. My hips used to hurt to, but no more since I started exercising seriously. WW will be having their 5 K again and I'm already starting my training. Hopefully it won't be too hot this year.

Faye, I'm so glad you are safely home. I was on Prilosec for years and then the insurance company sent a letter and said they wouldn't pay for it anymore until I tried the generic and the doctor said I need brand name. Turned out it was every bit as good in the generic form and I've been taking it ever since. You might remember me telling about having GERD and it having caused Barrett's esophagus, which is a pre-cancerous condition so I have to get the tests and x-rays every year. So far, so good.

Tomorrow I have Applique from 10-4 at Bella Fabrics. That will be fun. I've just been lazy today and read a lot.

Have a good evening.

Susan -- Soup sounds good tonight even though it is way past suppertime. I never turned the furnace up this morning and I got chilly watching TV tonight. Bob went ice fishing this afternoon so I didn't plan any supper. We had leftovers from yesterday so ate later than usual. Have fun at your Applique group tomorrow!
