A busy mess here at work...Got to see my milkman/fireman/cowboy dude on the way to work today....um...he gives great hugs. We are due another storm tonight, so I am thinking I will be late to work tomorrow. ;^),

MELLIE...good for you on your decision to just be you.....whatever makes you happy, makes me happy, my love......

Chelle...glad the procedure worked, by Joe, I think we are on to something here. Yeah!!

Shaddie...so jealous of the massage. I really could use one today. I slept wrong on my neck and it is a bit painful this morning.

Ceejay...goodluck with the WW on line. I have heard of several people having great success with it.

Laura...do you read smut books? I have a few I can send you. Jude Deveraux, Debbie Macomber, and a few others of that nature.

Hello's to everyone!! Stay warm/cool.

Much love and many hugs...

Morning chicks,
It's a little warmer outside today-temperature hovering around 32 degree's.

Mel
You sound in a better mood this morning. Don't work to hard.

Michelle
hope the test is doing it's thing and you get some much needed relief.

Annie
Enjoy your time off. You need some to recupe and get well. Mel may get jealous over your fireman.

I'll be back later the boss is in his office today and no doubt watching me on camera.

Morning all.

Shad - Hope you enjoyed the massage as much as I would!

Mel - Glad you had that talk with yourself. The most important thing is your health, not the number on the scale or the clothing tag. Take it easy in the office today.

Ceejay - Yeh, you're lucky to wear jeans all the time for work! Do you get to wear sneakers too (then I'd be really jealous), or do you have to wear steel-toed shoes in the water plant? I have a pair of those I had to buy for a work assignment years ago. Up to 32 degrees - that sounds really good to me.

Annie - How nice you got a mini visit w/ your fireman this morning. Hope you don't get snowed in tomorrow, and I hope your commute goes smoothly tomorrow. Yes, I've read those authors - I call them "fluffy" books since they're light reading and of course they'll have a happy ending, LOL. I'd love to have them, but only if it's not too much of a hassle to send them. Thanks!

Michelle - Don't forget to stop and take a breather every now and then today!!

Hellos to Happy and Kasey.

Not much to report. I was going to go to the movie last night after all, but I had walked about a block home from the train last night and slipped on the ice. I didn't fall, but I pulled my right hamstring. Of course bf came driving up a minute too late...Anyway, I just figured I'd take it easy at home. It's fine today. I spent some time last night looking at some records for retirement/taxes for a change I'm making to an IRA account - oh fun.

I expected the boss to be back today, but it looks like she might be out another day. Wishful thinking. She might be on a flight this morning and show up late morning or something.

Tomorrow's the holiday potluck at work. I didn't want to bring anything, so a few of us are chipping in on something to order in - but we don't know what. Any ideas? Nothing sweet - I think there's usually tons of dessert type stuff and less of the savories.

TTFN!!

Laura...be careful walking in this crap. Seems like one of us Worldlies is always pulling or parting something on our bodies. Hope the hamstring is better now. Order some flied lice and leg lolls delivered for your pitchin, everyone seems to like chinese. It is not all that healthy but fried rice and egg rolls go over well.

Laura
Do be careful wallking on this frozen stuff. And yes I do get to wear sneakers to work as well. We don't have to meet the public in person only on the phone. I probably should wear steel toed shoes but right now not having to move those 600 pound drums. Our potluck is next week. I don't have to take anything, the boss is catering, but I'm thinking about fruit cock tail or brownies or both.

Annie
brrrrrrr on the -1 temp this morning. It would be hard to take that kind of cold air. Guess I'd get used to it though.. We have in the past.

I'm hoping that this stuff will miss us and it stay's up north. At least until after I'm home tucked away.
I had some exciting mail this morning. Seems as though I've over paid the good doctor who performed my sinus surgery.

Morning all,
Another shortie I am afraid. I have read all posts and I hope to get to personals later, however I do have to say to Michelle that I hope that pain relief works for your back.
Mel I get that you are frustrated with the dieting and trying to work around exercise and job. Since there is no cure and the muscles are wasting, it's fairly natural that fat will arrive. Just be careful that you don't put on too much weight that what little normality you have left in the joints is not affected by the extra weight.

Worldly's newsletter arrived today and I have forwarded it to those whose emails I know. I used Laura's email from facebook, but it has come back so maybe is no longer in use? Jeanette I don't seem to have yours. Mel - will your computer be able to pick it up or shall I send it snail mail when I get back to Aus?

Massage last night was okay. Actually I don't like the massage itself, I like the feeling that comes afterwards when you are all oiled up and relaxed. This masseuse could have gone 5 rounds with Mohammed Ali and still come out on top. I had to ask for gentleness a couple of times. But it was good - even the ginger tea at the end - it was strong but nice.

Work is a bit hectic and I have been up since five trying to get my head around the last training session. So back to the joys of workflow. I have the managers in today and then tomorrow I have a big English bloke who describes himself as a complete SAP novice and a large blank page when it comes to computers. That should be fun. See ya

Hi Worldlies,

Going to try and get a few personals in before I'm off to bed.

Annie - hope you don't get snowed in tomorrow. Sounds very wintry up your way. Hope fireman hugs will keep you warm

Shad - I'm not sure why they can't give gentle massages. I know they are trying to undo knots and loosen toxins but oftentimes that hurts! I have not checked email yet but look forward to the next Newsletter. Good luck with the English chap - I'd be scared. Hope he is not the handful he sounds like he could be.

Ceejay - what a nice little bonus this time of year. Of course it's your own money but hey cash in hand is always good. I would think it would be on the chilly side where you work and would expect to be able to wear sneaker with all the walking you do. Ick on the boss watching on camera but considering they track everything you do on the computer, you have to figure they know what you're doing every minute if they are interested.

Laura - it was the hot dishes that went fast at our last pot luck. Some potatoes, baked beans. Not so much the cold salads. One guy must have bought every bread they had at Panera bread. I would love it if you would sneak me a cheese danish from Au Bon Pain. Been missing that for about 7 years now. How about Orange Chicken from Panda Express? I think they had a good Lo Mein too. Sorry to hear about your slip. I almost think it's better to just fall down. Those slips can really wrench the back. Hope you feel better.

Mel - you are not a downer. I'm sure it gets difficult (to say the least) to deal with loss of mobility or strength. I think your most important focus is on keeping Mel healthy. I once had a very good personal trainer - he said it was more important to be fit than skinny. Not sure any of us will fit into size 0's again - even with vanity sizing - but keeping your way of eating with things that keep you healthy and build your immunity to the winter crud is the right thing to do. I'm coming over and swiping your scale. Glad you are feeling a little better today

Michelle - thank you again for your quick response and lengthy email chock full of info. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me the facts. I certainly hope this last procedure was the green light for you to kick that cane to the curb and feel better. Just be careful going about in this slippery weather. Keep us posted on your progress - good thoughts to you

My eyeballs are clicking here, time to get to bed. 'night all.
