Good morning ladies -

DH got the inversion machine set up on Saturday night, so I "hung around" on Saturday night, twice yesterday and once before work this am. I was able to do more/move more on Sunday, which was nice. I got my shopping done, and some cooking. I really like my inversion machine. I can feel my back and abs get a really good stretch and elongate. It's helped bring the pain down a little.

Today through Thursday I have day-long training classes. So I'm going to go put my TENS device on just in case I need it due to sitting for so long in a classroom.

I've gotta go now...but I'll try and check in later.

Love and hugs,

Good morning all. Just lost the post I started because apparently my laptop battery is kaput - unplugged it from the wall after charging all day and night and 10 min later it's dead. I don't think it should be doing that after 2.5 years, but I'm sure I'd be told that it's par for the course. I'll need to stay plugged in. I think my laptop was scheduled for replacement, but there's still a budget freeze going on at work, so I'll have to live with it.

Shad - The new garden wall looks great - it's going to be just beautiful when it's all done! Thanks for posting the photos!

Happy - Did you get your to-do list done this weekend? Did you have time to test out the new tub??

Annie - Glad the b-day dinner went well. LOL, you overserved your dad - shame on you!! Hopefully the stalker guy went off to start the improvements you suggested, for his own sake, and will leave you alone now.

Kasey - It's great you've gotten your school costs covered and won't have too much student loan debt to deal with later. Nice you're able to put away a good amount of money each month, whether it's for a house or a wedding or both.

Mel - Glad it was quiet for you over the weekend. Your TJ's trip last week sounded awful! I see you've got some red and green sneaking into your posts!

Michelle - Did the hubby get your inversion machine put together for you? Hope so. We're waiting for a report! Wow, that's a lot of training this week. Hope your work doesn't pile up too much in the meantime.

Ceejay - Glad your mayor got re-elected. At least someone had a candidate they liked! I felt like I was voting for the lesser of the evils in casting my ballot.

LinsB - If you're talking about putting up certain trees already, sounds like you and Mel are peas in a pod about the holidays!

Friday got away from me - I had a project to finish that I'd procrastinated on earlier in the week, so I finished that and ended up getting the next later train home than I usually take. It was dark by the time I got off the train, so bf picked me up. I have to pick up my bike from the train today - I don't plan on riding it to the train anymore now that it's dark when I get home. Too dangerous.

My weekend was rather slothful overall. No raking. I did some laundry, loaded the dishwasher, bought a few groceries, watched too much tv. Nothing terribly exciting. I did order a cookbook from America's Test Kitchen. Bf and I have been watching the tv show on PBS and like it.

Got out for a walk with the dog on Saturday (went by the creek, no coyotes in sight) and I actually went to Bally's yesterday and did my 30 min. of recumbent bike. I figured I had an extra hour, so what the heck. Going there made me realize how much nicer the equipment is at the fitness center where I work!! Bally's should be ashamed that they haven't updated the gym near our house. Bf has been to the next three nearest Bally's facilities in our area and they are all much nicer. He doesn't want to sell his membership, so he's going to complain. I've got the fc now, so I won't be renewing mine come January.

I have a vacation day today. My only firm plans are a gynie appt at 2 and a massage at 5. Looking forward to the massage.

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning Chicklets.....

Wowser on the weather this week. Last Friday night we had SNOW, didn't stick, but was really pretty watching it out the CVS window in the street light. Today's high is 60, supposed to be 75 on Wednesday. Is this November or am I dreaming? Sunny too!! Very excited about that. I am off at CVS on Wednesday night so I may work in the yard...(pulling dead flower and cleaning out the garden).

Breakfast: handful of carrots, light yogurt, and Aunt Jemima Whole Grain Oats. Tasty....

Lunch: Salad I brought, I believe....

Leaving at 3:30 today to take Hella for her kennell cough vaccine. She has to go to the doggie hotel this weekend as we are all going to St. Louis to visit BFFs. Maybe even do the casino too!

I ran the vacuum over the entire CVS store yesterday, between waiting on customers and putting things in their respective places, it took me 3 hours to accomplish. One of our regulars stopped and asked me if my broom was broken, hence the vacuum....lol. Then a customer dropped a half gallon of OJ on the tiled floor so I got to mop. I said, sheesh I could of stayed home and done all this...and was pointed out to me that at least I was being paid to do it at CVS....good point. Anyway, calluses on my palms, ankle a bit swollen and pain-y, and neck hurts. Wah wah wah...refused to turn the heat on last night and froze my biscuits off.

Shad...had to laugh about poking the QUEEN. My guess is some flunky is monitoring the facebook page and he/she is getting the poke. How about lets POKE the president...Obama, right in the ole kisser.

MELLIE.....Glad you weekend was quiet. It is about time you had a peaceful weekend. Way to early for the Christmas crap, but I did fondle it all while putting it back in its spot. All halloween stuff is now 75% off, including candy. People are nuts, buying that crap, they don't even need it but cannot believe the prices.

Happy...have a peaceful day at work.

Zoochick...You are doing a great job with staying OP and exercising....congrats.

Ceejay...the cake sounds too rich for my blood. I would certainly barf it back up. Glad your Uncle time went well.

Chelle...how was your weekend? and the back doing? I said a lil prayer for you this morning to have a pain free day....hope HE was listening.

Best get this posted, off to staff meeting in a bit.

Love and hugs,

Chelle...glad you got the machine together and are hanging around like a bat. lol. Hopefully that will help you with the pain. I sometimes feel like I need stretched out.Especially today as my neck is hurting.

Laura...no more biking till spring sista. Don't want to worry about you getting a stalker too! The lazy weekend sounds great. I am looking forward to one of those soon. Going to rent Sex and the City II, and have a girls night.

Need to get me aother cup of coffed and get busy.....have a great day, darling sistas.

Wow, I am the last one to post. It is 6:15 pm and freakishly DARK outside. I only had about an hour and half to get things done outside. At least the backyard is all ready for the w*i*n*t*e*r!! Wednesday night I am going to do the flower and rock beds out in front and then should be good to go. Make baked spaghetti parmesan tonight with roasted red peppers and fresh garlic. I just love to cook/bake. I did two things tonight that I just love....cooking and working out in the yard. It is the first time in a long time I feel happy inside. I need to move to a warmer climate. Tomorrow night is CVS and I am not even dreading it. lol. Took Hella to get her kennel cough vaccine. She did marvelous. She absolutely loved working out in the yard with me. Altho every time I came in to check on dinner she had to run in and out with me. Now she is spread out on the couch, full length, sleeping.....so cute. Sleep sweet all ya'll. Cept Shad...enjoy some coffee and furry friends today...

Love and hugs

Morning all,

Short post today as I am trying to keep a steaming headache and sinus pain at bay. May have to give in and go back to bed yet. Darn it all and I have a list of things to achieve as well. Like Annie, I wanted to get into garden today and dig over the little bit of vege patch left so I can try planting some more stuff since it seems I am to stay at home for a while. Some recruiter rang yesterday but I doubt whether anything will come of that. Seems that I may be on the blacklist with one of the consulting companies. Been turned down too many times for interviews with them for it to have been a coincidence.
Anyway - I'm off to have a shower and try to make a dent on my list. Wish me luck

I'm sneaking in right behind you. I've been busy today. My boss told me this morning that the district meetings were counting as 1 hour credit. So he emailed our district supervisor and she went to the top hauncho at the health department. Whew, I'm still doing a happy dance.
Like Mel I have to get some of these pounds off my body. So I've decided to set 3 small goals, have 3 good fats per day, exercise at least 15 minutes and wear my new pedometer, try to keep my calories at 1500 per day.

Annie
Snow already, I'm the type who loves to watch it fall but forget about driving on it. I'm looking forward to turkey day.

I'll come back later on and do more personals. I'm at work and the boss has set up accounts for each of us. And talk about the size of a monitor. This one is 20 inches.

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?

Well it is the 75 degree temps and sunshine that makes me feel this way!!!

Shad...sometimes is has nothing to do with you or being black listed. With so many peeps out of work, everyone knows someone needing a job and try to get them hired instead of being on the search. Companies tend to "ignore" others when there is someone they know. IT ALL SUCKS.

Funny commerical today as I was fighting getting out of bed at 5 am. All American Chia Pets. Statue of Liberty and an OBAMA head. Hilarious, I laughed all the way to the potty about it. What a way to start the day. Hoola Hoop just sits and stares at me as I walk past. lol
