Red, so sorry to hear about your loss.

Everyone, sorry, I read through the thread superfast. All of you are doing very well. Happy to see that.

I need to re-start my goal of working out everyday. I stopped with 3 days of vacation, 2 late-nights at work. But back now.

Exercise every single day - day 1/21 completed (0/3 pauses used).

Iniya - Good for you for recommitting to your daily exercise!

Red - Glad to here you're back on track!

and to everyone else! I hope you're all doing great on your challenges!

*****************

Last night, I was either going to do a 1/2 hour step class or some cleaning. I opted for the cleaning and ended up spending 45 minutes going up and down the stairs to the basement to bring stuff down there for storage...so I feel like I did even better than the step class. Tonight is 1/2 hour of strength training, 1/2 hour of Zumba and then meeting with my personal trainer.

Today is also WW weigh in day...I weighed myself yesterday and the scale was kind to me then....we'll see how it is for my official WW weigh in.

Journal everything AND count WW points - 0 of 0 pauses taken - Day 2/21
64 ounces of water - 0 of 0 pauses taken - Day 2/21
5 servings of fruits and veg - 0 of 0 pauses taken - Day 2/21
Stay within WW points - 0 of 3 pauses taken - Day 2/21
30 min. (at least) of cardio - 0 of 3 pauses taken - Day 2/21
50 crunches - 0 of 3 pauses taken - Day 2/21
1 minute of planks - 0 of 3 pauses taken - Day 2/21
15 minutes of decluttering - 0 of 0 pauses taken - Day 2/21

Hello everyone.

I am new to this forum, and am looking to make several changes. I have decided to make my first 21 day challenge exercise. For the last week, my husband and I have been walking 3.2 miles in around 80 minutes. I enjoy this, which makes me believe I can stick with it. I have not done any formal activity since i got pregnant almost 20 months ago. My hope is that this will kick start me into a new healthy direction. Thanks in advance for everyone's support.

well, I am afraid of this challange, because continuity is the biggest obstacle for me.. but I guess that means I NEED this. Ok, since I want to become able to: 1) do real, regular, perfect form pushups. Not a definite number, but a plural so more than one :P 2) do a free handstand without killing myself falling down badly I need to pass this:

For 21 days, starting and including today April 9 and ending April 29, I will exercise everyday trying to do pushups and a handstand, not for a definite time, but until I can properly sustain myself and maintain form so that I don't injure myself.

ok wish me luck here I go ^_^

ETA: diyana the decluttering quest is AWESOME! I shall try, not as a challenge yet, but I want to follow your example! go you!

CLB - Is your challenge that you are you going to walk 3 miles every day? Or for a specific length of time every day? That's an outstanding challenge! One question though...what if it rains...do you have a contingency plan for exercise on days when the weather is too yucky for walking...or will you still walk?

Fra - to you too! Those are great challenges also that will work your upper body, core and balance. Good for you! Thanks for the compliment on my decluttering challenge...Others here have been doing it and inspired me to try to do it as well.

Shad - You're doing great on your challenge!

Red - We miss you. Sending you hugs and I hope your challenges are going well.

I did 1/2 hour of strength training, with extra ab work, followed by 1/2 hour of Zumba and a little recumbent stepper after that. I'm still thrilled about my weight loss this week and also that I'm wearing jeans in a size that I haven't been able to wear for at least a few years!

Journal everything AND count WW points - 0 of 0 pauses taken - Day 3/21
64 ounces of water - 0 of 0 pauses taken - Day 3/21

Hello all!
Days 17 & 18 no chips - DONE.
Days 2 & 3 less salt/processed foods - DONE. I'm glad I do the grocery shopping for our family. It makes this a LOT easier.
Days 3 & 4 incorporating exercise - DONE. Long walks with the kiddo and a heavy duty cleaning workout (thank you, Michelle, for the inspiration!)

Michelle - Hooray for the loss! That's awesome about the 10% - keep us posted next week!
fra - good luck with the challenges. Push-ups are so hard but so worth it, and I remember how much easier they got with repeated attempts.
CLB - welcome & good luck!
Joy - Congrats on day 10 down.
kay lee - fabulous challenge. No fast food is hard! But your body will be so happy...
Red - hope the days are going well. Those are some tough challenges. But we're all sending you positive thoughts!

thanks everyone for the well wishing! I hope to be as successful as you guys (n_n)

btw I just remembered an old "challenge" I aced time ago.. it was actually before my weight loss journey, I just wanted to test myself for some reason. I went 30 days without any desserts or anything sweet-sugary. Man, was that hard. But I did it. This makes me a wee bit more confident about the outcome of this new 21 day test :P

I agree with Fra. I hope to be as successful as you guys as well.

I said I was going to exercise everyday, with walking at least the 3.2 mile threshold that i had already created. Well it rained on day 1! So i went downstairs and used the elliptical (the non-fancy wal-mart kind). I did 20 minutes at level 2, which isn't as good as the long walk, but was all i had in me. Luckily the weather is supposed to be nice the rest of the week.

Today I am going to add a no soda and an 8 glasses of water a day challenge. I am giving myself 2 pause days on this one.

1/21 - Exercise daily challenge 0 of 0 pauses
0/21 - No Carbonated Beverages 0 of 2 pauses
0/21 - 8 glasses of water or more 0 of 0 pauses

CLB - That's awesome that you're essentially walking a 5K EVERYDAY! And you have a contingency plan in place for inclement weather! Good for you for adding no soda, lots of water challenges too!!
