Happy Sunday ladies -

The weekend is going by way too fast!! I had fun working the Pet Expo yesterday, and then when my shift was over, DH and I walked around and looked at all the lovely animals, and purchased some yummy dog treats for our pups. After the Pet Expo, DH and I went out to a buffet and I stuffed myself with yummy food. That was a combination late lunch and dinner. So I used a few of my Weekly extra points and was okay. I slept in today and am feeling like I really want to have a jammies day. I've got to check a few things for work in the late afternoon/early evening. But mostly I just want to relax. I'll probably do 1/2 hour to 45 minutes on the Wii Fit, even though I'd rather just be lazy today. All the standing and walking from yesterday made my feet, legs and back hurt badly, but I'm doing a bit better today. Just doggone tired.

We're gonna get between 7-10" of snow between Monday night and Tuesday night. If it's really bad, I may work from home on Tuesday. We'll see.

Annie - Hope you enjoy the Super Bowl today!!

Happy - Yes, Bears fans and Packer fans usually enjoy a friendly banter. It's the oldest rivalry in football after all. Packer fans say they hate the Bears, and Bears fans hate the Packers...but I do have a few friends who are Packer fans...so I think there's just some good natured teasing between the fans. I think the Packers rivalry with Minnesota has also gotten a bit bigger/more intense since our ex-quarterback now plays for the Vikings. But now the Vikings and their fans have to wonder...will he retire or won't he retire and wait until after Training Camp for his decision. It's not the Packers worry any more. I hope your DH had a happy birthday - a steak followed by a hot rock massage! Nice! Thanks for the recipe for the garlic broccoli!

Shad - I'd love to have one of Annie's dinners as prize for weight loss. Of course that would likely put a couple pounds back on. I'd LOVE to see photos of the penguins! I so wish I could have gone with you!!

Mel - I'm glad to hear your sciatics is getting better slowly but surely. Congrats on the weight loss! Good for you for putting out the sign.

Laura - Happy Birthday to your BF's mom. Sounds like a fabulous dinner!! Glad you had a nice afternoon with HS friends. Hope your lungs and skin are doing better today. Did you finish sewing your mittens?

Ceejay - Welcome back. So nice for you to work for your co-worker. Good for you for bring your pedals to work.

Well, I've got laundry to fold, so I'd better get at it.

Love and hugs,

Okay - let's see if I can upload some of Saturday's photos.

The one of the penguins is a photo of a photo. That is my hands, camera and head you can just about make out in the background. You are not allowed to photograph the penguins. They are frightened by the flashes. So rather than disappoint, I took this from the signpost on the way in.
I think I have already done most of this trip in my last post.

Been a funny day today. I was stocktaking and sorting the Carbon Brushes for the store. They are all over the place. No wonder we have a problem with WhereTF are they. Anyway with me, it is more likely WTF are they.

Don't remember signing up for dirt money, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do at times. I'm pulling away from the guy in the warehouse. He is more than capable now of doing the majority of his job. I only help out when he gets into trouble.

Mel - you are right about the amount of protein. I generally cut it back because it is too much for me. Although I have to admit if I was exercising everyday I wouldn't be too upset with the amounts.

Happy - hope you had a nice time with the DH's birthday and dinner. I hope he enjoyed his special day.

Anyway - enjoy the pics. Don't look at the windblown old bag in the background.

Good Monday Morning.....

Well boo on the Colts, way to give it to the Saints. Saints deserve the superbowl win! Colts sucked. Guess there is always next year. Ended up meeting Mike at the pub to watch the superbowl. It was quite fun. Sometimes I look at him and think he is not so bad, even with sausage fingers. But then again I used to think my ex wasn't so bad either. HE WAS. Anyway..........

We got about 6 inches of snow Friday & Friday night. Got up to a three foot snow drift down my driveway and into the street. Took me 3 hours to shovel and let me tell you my back, shoulders, arms and fingers are still achy. I was 20 minutes late to work at CVS due to all the shoveling. Looks like we are in for another 4-8 inches of snow tonight through all day Tuesday. Hope my aches go away so I will be able to tackle the next batch of the crap.

Spent about 5 hours with momma on Saturday evening. I clipped and filed her nails and shaved her chin. God love her! We have a such a great "girl" time when it is just the two of us.

Hey ya Shad...wish I could go see some penguins. I love penguins, they seem so dang happy all the time scooting and wobbling along. You will have that work site in order before you know, or else someone might get the ole 1, 2 SHADDIE....

Happy...the broccoli recipe sounds yummy, however I tend to stay away from broccoli as it does not agree with my tummy, gives me indigestion and mucho gas. YIKES!

Chelle...Let's have some kick *ss work outs and a very good OP week, my sista friend. Yeah, the Colts sucked. Oh well, always next year. Peyton looked like he was going to shoot someone the entire game. They just seemed out of sync. Hope your jammie day was all you dreamed it would be with DH...

Ceejay...Hidee ho sista. Don't work too hard or so much, I cover all that for the Worldlies with two jobs.

MELLIE...I guess you could say you have a pain in the *ss, or is that you are a PIA? LOL Hope all with the back end is much better. Thanks for the book report. It sounds doable, but I am sticking with my bariatric docs diet. It works for me. I will do your laundry folding, I like folding, especially towels.

Laura...thanks for keeping the site going all weekend by your lonesome. lol. I typically post from work as my home puter is the sh*ts. Even when I am in facebook, I have to log out and in 15 times just to do 2 minutes of fun. Hardly worth it.

Hello's to everyone, have a marvelous Monday.

Love and Hugs.

Happy Monday -

The weekend flew by. I had so much fun at the Pet Expo. I just loved seeing and petting all the wonderful doggies and kitties. There was even a "kissing" booth set up by a Boston Terrier rescue group with a little Boston that just LOVES to give kisses. For $1 (to support the rescue group), that little fella will give you unlimited kisses! Such a sweetie. Yes, okay, I'm weird. I love puppy kisses and hugs.

Last night, DH and I enjoyed yummy roast beef sandwiches from a roast that I had been cooking in the slow cooker all day long! And yesterday being the day Auntie Flo finally arrived after giving me weeks of symptoms, along with it being the Super Bowl, I had the munchies big time. I tried to make healthy choices and did pretty good, but still ended up using some of my extra weekly points so I don't know if I'll see the two-teens this week.

We're supposed to get a doozy of a snow storm starting today through Wednesday morning, up to 2' of snow. So as long as the roads are okay tonight, I'm going to the gym for a half hour of strength training and an hour of Zumba. Then tomorrow night is Zumba again...so I'm hoping for passable roads. Actually, I'd like to get all the snow done by Tuesday night because DH is getting another shot in his spine on Wednesday, which means he can't do much of anything on Wednesday night and Thursday...and I have no desire to shovel or snowblow the driveway.

Annie - So sorry about the Colts loss. I really do like the Colts and Peyton Manning. They're one of my two fave AFC teams. But I gotta admit after all New Orleans went through during Katrina and the fact they've never won a Super Bowl...I'm kinda happy they won. During the first quarter though, I thought it was going to be a blowout in favor of the Colts. You're probably right that the Colts will be there again next year. Peyton did look pretty p*ssed off the entire game. Glad you had a nice time with Mike, but don't start settling. If it ain't there, it ain't there. Wow, girlfriend, that's a helluva snow drift you had to shovel. So glad you had a nice girl-time visit with Momma. I'm definitely going for an OP rest of the week. Hopefully the scale will be kind on Thursday.

Shad - Thanks for the photos! The peacock feathers are gorgeous, the koala is adorable, and the oceanscape is beautiful! I so wish I could've been there with you. The penguins are sooo cute. Are those the little blue penguins I see on TV sometimes that nest under people's houses? Such cutie pies! I wish we could see a better photo of you though. Please?? So you're doing inventory and sorting? Isn't that what the employees are supposed to do? All over the place, eh? No wonder they have no clue of how many they have or where they are! Good for you for pulling away from the warehouse guy. The CSIRO diet has 7 oz of protein in one meal? That is kind of a lot. I usually have no more than 2 or 3 oz at any meal, but I do make sure to have protein after strength training.

Mel - Hope the meeting was short. Look out for this next storm coming through...it'll probably get to you by Wednesday. They're predicting Philly and NYC getting around a foot of snow.

Big to Happy and Ceejay!

Lots of love and hugs to all,

Thanks for sharing th pictures. My favorite bears are the koala and panda.

Mel
Hope the meeting goes smooth and it's not long. We have a meeting Wednesday.

Michelle
Sounds like you had a fun week end. Please keep the snow up north.

Annie
Too bad about the Colts. Be careful shoveling all that snow.

Happy
Did you get any of the white stuff this morning? The weather people say there's more on the way.

Laura

We got a dusting of snow this morning and driving to work could have been a real pain if the temperature had been a little lower. I love the big white flakes snow that reminds me of chicken feathers. This is waht we had this morning.

Ceejay - Glad you enjoyed your dusting of snow. Hopefully you'll be off the hook for this go 'round of snow. We're going to get a lot of snow between this afternoon and Wednesday a.m. I'm hopeful that the driving to and from work won't be bad.

We had another 4 to 5 inches of snow yesterday and last night. Driving in it is not fun but so far I've managed. I decided to shovel the front porch at work and the side walk to the chemical building. It was sluch sso it was not anything like Annie's ordeal.
We don't have snow plows so it can be messy.
We are getting a blast of artic air today. 2 more working day's and I'll be off for 4 day's. I'm hybernating.

Hi everyone. I'll have to catch up on reading your posts and get to personals later. I'm sore from my gym workout on Sunday - 25 min. of the recumbent bike and 5 min of the Stairmaster, and of course it was that 5 min. that made my quads sore yesterday and still today. I only did one BE workout last night - I was tired. Now my pecs and triceps are sore from that.

Boss is hoping for an early dismissal and a snow day tomorrow. I haven't seen any snow days in my 14+ years here, so I'm hoping for an early dismissal. I'm just glad that none of my commute involves driving a car.

Have a good day everyone, and be safe out there!

Hi ladies -

Just a quick post for me as lots of work to do. We're having a big snowstorm today. I got into the office, but my boss called me and since he's working from home, he urged me to get home before the roads got too bad. So I'm working from home today...which is nice...wearing sweatpants and t-shirt - so comfy!! The downside is that since it's TOM, all I want to do is EAT!! I'm really trying to hold out until lunch time though. BTW, I did an hour of Zumba and 1/2 hour of strength training last night. No Zumba class tonight due to the snow storm, but I'll do the Wii Fit instead.

I'll try and check in later this afternoon to catch up on reading posts.

Luv and hugs to all,

Hi ladies,

Things have been kind of hectic around here. We had a wonderful dinner for DH's birthday - lots of calories but worth ever single one of them. Enjoyed 2 glasses of Riesling too

Got an unexpected snow/ice/cold rain storm yesterday. Kept most of us inside. A few power blips but we're ok. I'm going to need foot surgery again on the 22nd. Another cyst that needs to come out and he's taking a bunion too. I just seem to be behind all the time on everything...

Michelle & Laura - hope you don't get dumped with too much snow but if they are doing snow days, that's pretty intense. Take care and be careful shovelling.

Ack - just noticed the time - meeting after meeting today and the PC guy is due here in 2 minutes to work on my PC. Will try and get back later.

Mel - Enjoy the sun while it lasts!! All I see out the window is white fluffy snow...lots and lots of it.

Ceejay - Mother Nature should not give you snow if you don't have snow plows!

Happy - glad you had such a nice dinner with DH. That sucks you have to have another foot surgery. Hope your day and your meetings go well.

Hugs,
