Morning all,
4 days and counting + 1 to get home. I need to dash upstairs shortly to see if my lovely business person has managed to read and proof another 47 pages of the manual (on the train) before he got to work. At this rate we will be finished on Thursday and have Friday to mop up the bits. Yes I have changed my tune - because of the problems I had been having with the consultants on the warehousing side, they gave me something else to do while I waited for the screaming to die down. It's been a pleasure. I've actually managed to do some financial stuff and understand it and get to see the consultants and business people to clarify points etc. And they answer emails. I've turned into a person again, well mostly.
Mel - good to see you back again. Let's hope the organic soap has worked some miracle and you can get back into the real life again.
Happy - sorry to hear about the glaucoma (I'll not dignify that with a capital letter) I'm pleased they caught it early and that you can live with it.
A weekend away sounds interesting. What about the Smokey's - it should be cooler up there and no humidity - or did you already go there??
Annie - cleaning house until midnight - shame on you. Don't tell me you had an argument with somebody - that's when I usually get into the scrubbing and polishing with a vengeance. Thanks for the margarita. Enjoyed that. But it will up the calories and sugar levels too much if I have another right away. Next week maybe when I am lounging in the garden with a book.
Michelle - looking forward to seeing this website when you have it up and running. Glad to hear you have had such a fun weekend. They are too short to have a bad one.
Ceejay - did you catch up with Patty??? Hope you enjoyed your time away.
And with that, I'd best be off and see if my favourite business person has made it in yet. I'm down to the exercises and the last of the simulations today. Getting there, getting there.
See you all later.

I'm home but had a delay at the air port in Dallas today. The drive was a long, 3 hours from Little Rock, AR. and now I'm tired. I'm missing them already. We really had a good visit.
Shad
Patty and I didn't get together this time but there will be other times. My sister wanted me to stay with her. Her children also wanted me to be there while they were there. We had a very good visit.
We wernt swimming every night. I bought a life jacket at Walmart and learned to swim on my back. Didn't do so well on the front side.
My sis fixed extremely healthy meals and made sure I exercised.
Happy
When did you find out that you had glaucoma?
Mel
Hope your eyes are feeling better soon.
Patty
Maybe we can make a connection the next time I visit DFW. SouthWest airlines have some pretty good deals. Did you stay cool last week. It certainly was hot.
Annie
I do some of my best cleaning during the wee hours of the morning.
Michelle
Did I read that you have your web sight done?!!!!!! I've skimmed over the posts.

Hi Ladies -
Happy Tuesday! I spent a couple hours last night working on my website. I have the homepage layout nearly done. I need to add the links and tweak the wording, but I'm making progress. Check it out if you wish ( http://www.pixelsandprose.com) but remember, it is very much a work in progress.
Mel - I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope the blurriness goes away soon. Good on yah for the organic fruits and veg. I'm surprised you can use incense with your allergies. I enjoy incense but can't burn it in the house due to my DH's allergies. Glad to hear Jen and Richie are doing well. You're so kind to make up care packages for them.
Shad - It sounds like your final few days on the job will be better for you! Yay!
Ceejay - The website isn't done yet...but I'm making progress. Glad you had a nice visit with your sis and her family.
Patty - I watched the Home Run Derby last night and thought of you as Milwaukee's Prince Fielder was going up against Texas' Nelson Cruz. They both displayed their outstanding hitting talents!
A big to Happy, Annie, Ruth and everyone!
Lots of love and hugs,

Tuesday, Tuesday....Long John Silver (which I am not a fan) has Baja Fish Tacos free till 2:30 today. Several of us are going to give it a go and check it out. I am not into fried food and by the commerical it looks as tho the fish on the taco is fried. We will see.
Happy...relief of glaucoma is smoke a little doobie. I haven't done that since teenage years but might give it a go with you. lol
Shad...No arguments or fights, just got in the cleaning mode and went wild. Too crazy. Just a few more days of nonsense for you sister then you can go home. Ya HOO!!
Chelle...Your website is cute. I like the floral background. Very nice.
MEL, MEL, MEL....Glad to hear the soap is working for you. Finally something decides to work. It is pretty cool here this morning also, low 60s for us too. It was only 49 further north in Indiana this morning. It is turning out to be a beautiful day.
Ceejay...glad to hear you made it home safely. Better than my return last weekend from St. Louis. Got my car back but have to take it back as the headlight sticks out on one side just a bit.
Took my Home Depot gift cards last night and got my storm door for the front. My brother is going to install it in the next few weeks. I am happy about that. I have yet another 18 bucks left on the gift card too. Also got new screen for the sliding glass door screen. He will do that also.
Not much going on here. Have a terrific Tuesday all. Hidee ho to everyone I missed.
Much love and many hugs.

Annie - That kind of glaucoma relief sounds pretty good. Can I join in? I hope the fish taco is good. I checked out their website...it does look fried. Thanks for the nice compliment on my website. Shad graciously provided the floral background photo.

Chelle...The fish taco was indeed fried. I ate half as I just don't like the taste of fried food much. Doesn't sit well. My mouth tastes yucky now, so I am going to brush my teeth. Bleck.

Annie - that's a bummer that the fish taco was so yucky. I brought (and already ate) a sandwich today. Now I'm going to the cafeteria for the yummy salad bar. Mmmmmmm!

Yes Chelle, I should of just ate my lunch I brought. I grilled bbq chicken and made edamame last night. Even if the food was free at Long John's, maybe not worth it. I will eat the lunch I brought tomorrow. All the other chaps are going to Kono Jacks for lunch tomorrow. I am not, it is too expensive for my blood.

Morning all,
3 days +1 and counting down although yesterday was a good day and I got sign off on several of my project modules. Hoping for a lot more today.
I'm having dinner with a Chinese whirlwind tonight. She's a very little lady with the tenacity of a Jack Russell Terrier. She's about to turn 70 and for her birthday has decided to do a post grad course in psychology. Hmmmm.
Michelle - the website is looking good. The background looks pretty good but then....... I'm biased!!! I hope lots of business comes your way with it. At least the latin disappeared!!
Ceejay - glad to hear you had a good time. Nice to get away for a bit isn't it?
Mel - maybe Happy has found that happy place - haven't seen her in yet, or maybe she is taking up Annies solution for the eye problem. Enjoy your time in the sun. Remember 15 mins of Vit D from the sun is better than 1/2dozen vit d tablets.
Annie - sorry the lunch was crap. I'm a bit the same with fried food these days. I wonder why they don't grill more often or steam. You can pack far more flavour into a steam than a fry up. Frying just makes the food taste of fat. Having said that there is a case for deep frying on the odd occasional. (good spring rolls for example or dark chocolate and rum cigars) But they need clean oil and mostly don't get it.
I seem to have caught a cold over the weekend and spent yesterday sneezing. Today seems to be cough and nose blow day. But this too will pass. I may have to go down to the local chemist and get some headache tablets and nose drugs since I so carefully left mine behind. Anyway this too will pass.

Shad a roonie...I am going to try to post my amature pix I took tonight of my glorious petunia. Sure are pretty, but I am no photographer. I had homemade pica (salsa) and chippies for dinner tonight. Then went down to the drug store and walked around for about an hour. With my CVS coupon card, a couple of coupons and buy 1 get 1 free stuff, my 49 dollars worth of stuff came to 18.17. what a steal. Hope you get to feeling better, I have been fighting it for a week or so.

I'm envious of your cooler weather. It's been 89 degree's here today but that's better than the 102 degress that Tx was having.
Yes, I'm just learning how to swim and could probably do it if I had the daily practice. I've always been afraid of the water.
Michelle
I' ll check out your websight.
Annie
I like the petunia's because like Shad says they are very easy to grow and it raises the spirits and adds color. Don't you like savinig money. You had some good bargains.
Shad
I'm glad things are finally coming together for you. I know you are anxious to get back home.
I stayed on line chating with a friend last night til midnight. Today I completed most of my to do list, and even took a long nap. I am exhausted. I'm so glad I've decided to take some extra day's off from work when I got back.
I've upgraded my cable so that I can have HBO. I'm hoping to have some fitness channels also. We shall see tomorrow when they install the new converter box.
