Hi everyone,
I am new to this site and have only JUST started with Herbal Magic. I have a LONG way to go!
I love cooking, which is kinda what got me in this position in the first place. My biggest challenge is that I love flavours. With my East Indian background, this is making eating fun foods hard on this diet.
Any suggestions on East Indian recipes that will allow me to enjoy my food and still be able to commit to this new way of life?!
Aditi, my TOM makes the scale stand still, so hang in there. You know what really helps me, is Cardio. Slap on your ipod, and get walkin', I find it really helps decrease the bloat associated with my period.
Welcome loma!! I love to cook too, and love herbs & spices etc. I find the Mrs Dash's products a life saver, as well as Tobasco, mmmmm. I eat alot of sweet potato, as they count for veggies instead of starch. I pierce one that is aprox 1 cup in proportion, throw into microwave for about 6 mins. Cut in half, then slice those halves in half, and load it up with spices & tobasco. Fills me right up!! As long as you stretch out your food for the day, and measure, measure, measure, you will do fine. Oh ya, and don't forget to drink water like a mad woman. Good Luck & welcome!
Well I went for my weigh in this afternoon (I missed yesterday) and am pleased to say that my 1.2 pound "gain" from Wednesday is gone and another 1.6 pounds to boot! Yay!!
I was even eating sunflower seeds with my hubby last night and was worried about some water weight given the amount of salt I likely consumed but apparently it was okay.
I am now less than a pound away from the 40 pound mark. Hurray!!
Hi gals I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am listening to my ipod at work and the song fire burning is on and I noticed that the carrot smilie is "dancing" in time to the music I am listening to!!! LOL LOL oh these night shifts... I finally have moved the scale down on Friday to 204.8 but I will not update tickers or anything just to make sure. I had another birthday party last night and nothing on the menu was on plan.. so I ate but a little bit less and I will drink a ton of water tonight. Oh well, I will continue on.
Chantal I believe this whole experience is a learning lesson and you are right we won't be on these supplements when we are done program completly. I also agree with you about not being obssessive with the program, I don't like to beat myself up if I went off program for a bit... it happens and thats ok. Get back on track and continue on... ps good luck on your business adventure.. I say go for it!!!
Dria it must feel so good.... you are awesome... I can't wait to hear how stabilizing and maintenace goes for you!!! Something we all can look forward to sooner or later!!!
Now I have a different opinion on exercise... I think it is vital to our overall health. And I do believe muscle burns more calories... something to think about. And personally I don't like flabby legs and arms and I will do everything in my power to tone those up little by little. Now I do better with exercise some weeks than others.. but its a habit that needs to be formed.
Hi everyone! I am so excited! I have lost 5 pounds!! I am very happy with my progress so far...just hope I can stay motivated!
I am having a REALLY hard time getting all my protein portions in for the day. I just bought the protein bars from the centre, so this will help. Wow, are they expensive!! Does anyone know of protein bars I might be able to get from somewhere else, but cheaper...
Witchie, I found some recipes I have tried out, and think are good. I will post them on the recipe link you shared with me previously!
