Valentine's Day Challenge

  • Well, here we are - past the holidays and heading towards Valentine's Day ... our 1st challenge in 2002. Is everyone ready? I AM!

    I am going to really work hard at getting rid of 6 lbs for Valentine's Day ..... not 5, not 10 ... just 6. That is what I need to get that silly ole 10% at WW. So here goes ...

    Present weight: 172 (as of 1/04/02)
    Goal Weight: 166
    Lbs to Goal: 6 lbs

    COME ON YOU GUYS! Don't make me do this alone!

  • OK, I'm in.

    I'm not sure what I will be able to accomplish, but I will set my goal at 10 pounds. That commits me to lose not quite 2 pounds each week. That should be doable for me if I stay OP for the whole time. I'd really like to be down to 130, but even I know that is not possible in the time that I have available. LOL

    Well, here it is. Valentine's Day already. I started out on this challenge great and had a rough time in the middle. This week has been a bad week for following the weight loss program, but a good week for weight loss. It also helped to reach my goal, but I don't feel very good about it.

    Starting Weight: 142.5 (as of 02/01/02)
    Present Weight: 131.0
    Goal Weight: 132.5
    Lbs to Goal: -1.5 lbs

    Here's the start:

    January 02: 142.5 (Starting Weight)
    January 07: 140.0 (2.5 pounds lost) Total Lost: 2.5
    January 14: 137.75 (2.25 pounds lost) Total Lost: 4.75
    January 21: 135.0 (2.75 pounds lost) Total Lost: 7.5
    January 28: 133.5 (1.5 pounds lost) Total Lost: 9.0
    February 04: 134.75 (1.25 pounds gained) Total Lost: 7.75
    February 11: 135.75 (1.0 pound gained) Total Lost: 6.75
    February 14: 131.0 (4.75 pounds lost) Total Lost: 11.5 pounds

    Hi Everyone!

    So you know me, I'm the bad kid when it comes to this weight loss. I'm trying, I'm trying!!!

    I want to be 142 for Valentine's Day because it's 4 days before my 1st Anniversary with my BF. LOL. That's about 7-8 pound, depending on how I weigh in for the day! ACK!

    HI guys,
    I meant to get in this when CJ started it the beginning of the month and aim for a 8 lb weight loss. But I went back to my weight loss and have already lost 3.4 LBs since the 4th of January when she started this thread. So I guess I am on my way so I just have to lose another 4.6 LBS. So I guess I will just try to lose some more weight, whatever I can in the next 2 weeks, which is all we have left. So if I can lose a few more pounds I will be happy.

    Anyone else? It is never too late.

  • Man oh man!!! I was reading this thread about how everyone was going to lose 10 lbs. or 6 lbs. and I'm thinking "But it's only 2 weeks to Valentines Day!! How are they going to do that!?!?!"

    Boy, 10 lbs. in 2 weeks sounds good to me!!! What's the secret to that!?!? Then I realized this thread was started a while ago. Bummer.

    OK, 2 weeks. I'm thinking ... well, 2 lbs. maybe? A pound a week is fair.

    Wait! I know! I want to reach my 40-lb. mark by Valentines week weigh-in (Sat. Feb. 16)! So that'll be 2.2 lbs. Oooh, so close .....
