Thanks!
Yeah, I did the long walk with stroller only one-way, but it was
still more exercise than I bargained for. At first I thought it would
be really lame, because I couldn't walk very fast behind the other
people strolling along the sidewalk. But then my kids starting getting
hungry and thirsty, and I was maneuvering this huge stroller into a
little bakery shop (lifting it as much as pushing it) to get them some
bread. (Nothing for me!) Then the little one started thrashing in a
tantrum, hurting herself and her sister, wanting to be carried. So I
carried her with one arm while pushing the double stroller and the big
sister with my other arm. Then I got to a huge hill, which would be
a minor challenge to do if both kids were sitting calmly in their seats.
With one kid in my arms and the stroller one-handed, it pushed me to
my limit. I almost couldn't make it. So it was a good workout, but
in every other way it was pretty bad.
Next week I'll try one more outing in the double stroller, and I'll
bring pillows and food for the kids. But if they still don't like it,
I'll give up. Too bad, because it seemed like a way to spend time with
the kids, to get exercise, and to avoid the urban hassles of traffic
and parking.

Thurs did a great big workout at the big gym (not the little
one at our condo complex), in anticipation that I won't have
a chance to get there this weekend.
Lifted weights for a zillion different body parts, and 28 minutes
of cardio. I tried to do more than 1 set for most groups, but
I'm not yet doing 3 sets.

After Thursday's massive workout, I was sore for days. Friday I just
did stretching. Saturday I did nothing. Sunday I had a really good
aerobic workout even though I was still sore. I did 3-minute intervals
on the elliptical machine. 3 minutes of pretty intense speed, then
2 minutes or so of standing around ,stretching, and then repeat on
the machine. It worked well and I might try that style again.

Monday,
Did the long walk to and from playgroup, pushing a double
stroller. The kids had more snacks and pillows, and they
were able to eat and sleep, and they didn't hate it so much.
I was dripping with sweat by the end, so it's "real" exercise.

Didn't exercise Tues or Wed, but got to the gym first thing Thurs morning
and did cardio. My weird neighbor wanted the air-con off, so it was
really unpleasant and I stopped a few minutes early.
Friday I did cardio and I was really happy with my energy.
Saturday I did tons of lifting and a bit of lame cardio afterwards.
Yesterday I didn't have a chance to workout (baby didn't nap,
sitter not available) and today's schedule looks grim. I might
get a short walk in at lunch.
Two hours of belly dance class and I enjoyed every minute! After the week we had, those two hours were a great stress reducer for me! I feel so much better!
