Morning everyone! I slept like a rock last night! I felt SO good! I went to bed late, and woke up not even an hour later. I was irritated, but went to the potty and snuggled back down under the covers. That was about 1:30. I did not wake again until almost 8!
SASSY: Glad you joined us! Sugarbusters is great for diabetes. Have you read the book, or anything? The program in a nutshell is to avoid white sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes, pineapple, corn and bananas. These are all high glycemic foods. Choose foods that are low glycemic, like beans, and whole grains, and eat ample vegetables. Read labels. Foods need to have 3 or less grams of sugar to be ok. Exceptions would be something like tomato sauce, where the naturally occuring sugars in the tomatoes would make it more. Then you read the label and find ones with no ADDED sugar. It is an 'eat until you are satisfied' program, with guidelines. They tell you to fill the bottom of a dinner plate, but not over the rim. Sometimes it is easy to justify overeating with that satisfaction thing...it is important to be careful there. One of our regulars, Gatorgal, has been working on this a while and has some good points to make, so when she gets back on here, perhaps we can get her to share on the subject! As BOB said, the weekends can be a little slow, but please jump in and ask questions and share your support needs. Its a great group here. We are glad to have you join us!
BOB: I will get some of those pictures posted in just a bit. I am in the middle of making ww pizza dough... He is a cutie as is his big brother!

Morning; Brr its so cool here. The high is supposed to be 51 today. My little guy Jackson has been chilled so I put a t shirt on him. That didn't go over so good. He rolled and shook and went crazy with it on. He's just now settled down but keeps whining to DH. He's not used to clothes for sure. The shirt is so cute it says "cat the other white meat" on it. LOL.... My son called my DIL this morning. He's in Kuwait for two weeks for some special training stuff before going on to Iraq. He said he sure has jet lag. Ate some pumpernickel toast and a glass of O.J. for breakfast. I'll be back on walking on the treadmill tomorrow. I think we might barbecue chicken for this evening. I'm having mine with a baked sweet tater. Well better go for now.

Auntie BOB asked me to post some more pictures of her great nephew. So here goes! He is a cutie! I will post one of his big brother too. I am assuming that is Cathy holding Mason, and I believe the older brother is Jay.... I love this one of Mason. He looks like he is saying, "Ok, so when do we head out for the next VOL's game??"

Thanks for the welcomes!
I haven't read the book or anything, I'm completely new to SB's. But I may stop by the 1/2 priced book store and buy it.
Thanks for all the info.
I will check in later as I just got off work a couple hours ago and I'm tired.
Have a Great Day!
