Unhappy Can someone please tell me

Hi, I am new to sugar busters, I did the atkins diet for a month and gained 7lbs. So now I need to redo all of that. The problem is that my blood sugar is very low and gets set off by everything. Can some one tell me what a good protein snack would be to take with me since I am always on the run. I want it to be under 180 calories preferably. Thankyou, also if any one else struggles with hypoglycemia will you please tell me how you eat to make your self feel better. I want to get this disorder under control now while I am young, and any ecouragemen is welcome. I am very upset about the weight gain with atkins when I really thought I was doing everything right! Please help thanks -Erin

Default Hello

Hi Erin. I was an Atkins chick and now am doing SB. I am sorry you gained weight on Atkins. I found that I did really well but then gained way to much if I went off of it and had some carbs. I am doing well with SB and hope that I can do this for most of my life.

Protein snacks. Boiled eggs are awesome. I always have some in the fridge. Light cheese, nuts, chicken , cottage cheese though that is hard to eat on the run.

Hopefully someone else can help you out. Peanut butter on trisquits is also another one.

Take care and good luck

Katie

Low-fat cottage cheese, mozzerella sticks, & walnuts are good.

I love cashews, triscuits and cheese, and (although not SugarBusters) Atkins S'mores bar.

hey Enique30, I too have hypogycemia and I usually take my protein bars and breakfast bars. I'm now trying to cut my sugar intake and am having the same problems as you. It's hard to carry cheese and peanut butter in your purse all day...haha Let me know if you come across anything.
