Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah or just plain old Happy Holidays before the craziness of the new week starts. We are all decorated and started baking. I baked whatever I could freeze this weekend and plan on baking the rest Mon, Tues, Wed.
Trying to avoid all these Holiday goodies is proving very tricky, but I'm trying! I would be happy to maintain and not gain anything this season.
I finally lost the last pound...I am at goal!!
Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas &
I will be out until the 5th of Jan.
Meow, you keep that snow. We are expecting 2-3 inches of rain this weekend starting Christmas day. But it will be high 50's to 60's.
Mary, I don't blame you for wainting until the holidays are over. My trainer was telling me about a cleanse call evercleanse or something like that, but you still eat normal while doing it for a week. I may try that. He said it really gets rids of the toxins in your body.
Ellen, so glad to hear from you. We have missed you. Sorry about DD's job. Hope she finds one soon.
Chris, Congrats on reaching your goal. I have dropped a few pounds and one pants size so I am happy. It will come.
Toni, have a safe trip and enjoy those grandkids.

Oh wow, we had such a blizzard yesterday that Nova Scotia was closed -- really, you could not get in or out of the Province by land, air, or sea.
Today, the change is amazing -- the sun is actually shining -- but the next storm is due to hit tomorrow evening and then they are predicting a mild and rainy Christmas Day.

I'd like to join ya'll, if you don't mind. I've always had trouble with sugars/carbs - mostly craving them and then the stupor and headaches that follow! I know when I eat right - for me it's the Sugar Buster way - the cravings are gone, no nausea in the morning, have a clear mind, energy galore, and I don't think about food all the time. And my house stays relatively clean as there seems to be more hours in the day when you aren't passed out on the couch from carbs. Anyone relate??
Right now I am starting. I'm throwing away the 1/2 box of chocolates and then I'm getting on the treadmill.
See you guys tomorrow!!

((((Everybody)))
I can't tell ya'll how excited I am to find ya'll again. Life went crazy and I was offline and when I came back I couldn't find the group. I joined another group yesterday at a totally different site but it is SO big it is impossible to connect with people. Plus I missed ya'll. This is wonderful. My weight is up and today was the first day of getting back on track. I even drank my water..a huge biggie this winter. I've been terrible. I can't wait to catch up with everybody and meet those of ya'll I don't know.
Love and hugs,
Crystle

Okay you all where are you? I know after Thursday you'll get started again. What are you having for New Years Day? I'm going to our little market in town and checking it out for a prime rib. Hope they have one. I'd love to cook it on New Years. We don't go out anymore the night before. Well hope someone comes on soon....

Good afternoon
It sure is quiet in here, everybody must be out having fun. Toni, it is so nice to see you. Your prime rib sounds yummy. We made one several years ago for New Years.
I'm so looking forward to spring and planting again. We did plant some greens and a couple of cabbage plants this year. My family doesn't eat greens but I do. I have some one the counter soaking right now for dinner. If I weren't so lazy I would eat them more often. Oh and we did plant to broccoli plants. They were really tasty. I didn't think they would taste much different than the store but they were much fresher tasting. Next year we plan on planting several since we know they will grow here.
Time to get a glass of water. It's so cold in here that's the hardest part of doing better. But so far so good.
God bless,
Crystle

Hey Crystle you're right its so quiet in here. Hope everyone will come back on the 1st. I got my seed catalogs today and enjoyed going through them. I ordered some tomato plants from Burpee. They seem to run out of the ones I want so fast. So I got an early jump on them this year. I did pick up my prime rib today. Hope I do a good job cooking it. Of course I'll have to have some black eyed peas with it. I love both broccoli and cabbage. Wish I had a nice garden instead of growing from pots. I seem to be coming down with a cold and have been hacking all day. Its nice and clear here today with nice weather for now. We have a front coming in this week and maybe snow. I'm trying to get more water in to. Doing better but not great. Have a good evening.....

Howdy
Helloooo....Helloooo....Helloooo That's my attempt at an echo. Even though most of ya'll are busy I wanted to drop in and send some love. ((Everybody)) I hope you are having a SUPER week so far and are ready for a new year, a fresh start or a continued excellent journey. Last night I made a turkey meatloaf that was actually delicious and moist. Usually they are a tad dry. I think the large can of tomato sauce on top helped. If you've never boiled sweet potatoes they are very tasty like that. We were able to eat them without adding any butter. My hubby is picky so I was really surprised. Guess I'd better get off this thing and get ready to walk. A friend is coming over. It is so much nicer to walk with a buddy.
God bless,
Crystle

Hello. Just got done making some low fat cream cheese and low fat thin ham roll ups for New Year's eve. I'm trying to make some healthy snacks. Need to go to the store tomorrow and look for fruit. I've still got an awful cough. Hope it gets better soon.
Crystle- The meatloaf sounds so good. I love sweet potatoes...... baked, boiled what ever.....

((Everybody))
I hope that since the board is so quiet that means ya'll are having a blast.
My friend did make it over yesterday so we walked and then cooked some mixed green with no added fat. You can't beat a cup of veggies under 60 calories. Have any of you tried the bacon flavored salt yet? I just found it the other day online and it sounds interesting but it's kinda high.
((Toni)) I hope today finds you feeling tons better.
I pray each of you is safe this evening and has a Happy New Year.
God bless,
Crystle

Happy New Year's Eve. I hope Meowee comes and starts a new thread tomorrow. Wonder where she is? I've still down with a horrible cough and congestion. I've been having to sleep in my recliner at night. Laying down is awful. I hope everyone is safe and warm.
Crystle-Your walk sounds wonderful. I hadn't even heard of that salt yet. But bet that would be good on your mixed greens. Are you cooking a big meal tomorrow?

Thread closed. Meowee can't get online until the situation in the Maritimes gets resolved. I was talking to her last week and she was hoping "soon".
Hop over to the 2009 thread.
