GOOD MORNING EVERY BUDDY!

It's a little chilly here this morning. I think it was 42 degrees when I got up. I immediately turned on the heat after going out to pick the Sunday paper off the driveway! I know that's warm compared to what y'all are going through, but that temperature is cold for Florida!

Glad to hear that y'all liked the cabbage version of pasta. I've never tried it, only the zuchinni way.
Like TONI...if I ate those chocolates, I'd be on the THRONE in the !!!

THE MOVIES....

DEATH SENTENCE with Kevin Bacon was a good movie, but the rest STUNK!
I was so excited to see 3:10 to YUMA, but I'll stick with the original from all those years ago...

I've got laundry to do today and I want to get started on it. Went to the grocery yesterday so at least I don't have to be out in the weather.

My first week in my new position was great. NO STRESS....no one yelling and ranting needlessly....I am working tomorrow and will be off on Tuesday
as one of the people I work with took the day off.

I made a meatloaf last night for supper, and today will throw together some swiss steak and that will allow me to have leftovers for lunch this week.
I bought some fresh KALE and will fix that today.

I'm off to get some more coffee so I'll check in a bit later!

Happy Weekend all..I am happy to report i am having a great weekend. Or so i think)

Is spaghetti squash legal? I hope so because I had it last night with pork chops and it was soo good. It was a great alternative to pasta.

For breakfast I felt like having coffee today and I figured out how to make it taste good. (I have never liked unflavored coffees and they are all flavored with some type of sugar. I added cinnamon and it gave it just a little kick. I was happy.

Not much on the agenda. Just hanging out with my best friend who also does sugar busters so no need to have willpower. Always nice to be in the company of others who are either doing it or are really supportive. There is nothing worse that having those damn diet sabotages around.

BoB Congrats on the no stress job..Always a plus. What do you put in your meat loaf? I do eat my sisters from time to time but breadcrumbs are not legal so just out of curiosity what do you use??

Dang Bob I was hopeing that 3:10 to Yuma would have been better. A meatloaf sounds good. It would great to pack a lunch and use it in.

Gym- Spraggetti squash is legal. You can use whole wheat bread crumbs in your meat loaf. I grind my heels from ww bread up and keep them in the freezer.

Monet- I hope those bisque turns out good. I always check you site out on Etsy to see what you've posted.

Happy Day....

OK, I weighed in this morning for my work challenge and it was good, but could have been better. I'm shooting for two pounds a week for fourteen weeks which will put me at 200 lbs. It's been quite a while since I've been under that, so we'll see. I say it could have been better because with the weather this week, I have not been exercising and I've had my share of cheats! I must have done Ok just making sure I got my water in because I took off two pounds!

It got down to 16 degrees here last night! Hope everyone else stays warm!!

Hello everybody, just joined last night, wanted to say what a great site this is and just full of information and wonderful people.

I have been following Sugarbusters since last March and here are the figures:
275/213 and short term right now is to get below the 200 mark.
I had to have cataract surgery and during the routine blood work I found out I was Type 2 diabetic. So on to the diabetic doctor and he recommended Sugarbusters. I have really been pleased with it and with my lab values as they come down each time. I did have to be put on oral meds (6 of them) diabetic, high bp and high cholesterol.

I am a 52 y/o grandmother of 2, married, work full time in a nursing home.
That's about it for now, gonna read some of the posts and get to know you!

Bob: I liked 3:10 to Yuma so much that I bought it, but I do prefer the original with Glenn Ford. Hubby and I don't go out to movies much,
I Walk the Line & 3:10 to Yuma being the last 2 we went to see.

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!

It's almost time for THE AMAZING RACE FINALE and I'm so excited!!!
This is probably my favorite reality show. Anyone else watch?

The temperature is dropping again...we got up in the mid 50's today, but it's going to be another cold one...THIN....I just don't think I could live in COLD WEATHER like that again! I've been here 20 yrs and am just now starting to get cold when that time of year rolls around~!

GYM...Like TONI...I use whole wheat crumbs. I buy the VIGO brand. I use
regular hamburger meat, plochman's yellow mustard (about three good squirts), 2 eggs, a lot of onion and 1 to 2 cans of stewed tomatoes.
Mix it up really well, shape it into two loaves and bake at 350 degrees for and hour or more. Oh...when I get the loaves in the pan, I mix one can of tomato sauce (no added sugar) with equal water and pour over top to keep it moist.

TONI....Yep...that's what I'm taking for lunch this week...What did you cook today?

SPARKLE...WELCOME....I think the problem with my not liking the new version....I really don't care for Russell Crowe.

I'm off to get snuggled and propped up in the four poster. I'll watch some of the GIANTS game until THE RACE comes on...I'm not a PRO FOOTBALL fan, but I do LOVE THE MANNING BOYS!!!

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT EVENING and STAY WARM!!!

Evening. I got a lot of work done in the garagio, even though it was FWEEZING in there! I was SO cold, I swear I shivered off a pound or two! I hope it is warmer tomorrow so I can glaze.

Tom is feeling pretty crummy so we did not go to church tonight. I had no desire to clean off the car (which is on the driveway because I was all spread out in the garage and there was no room to put the car in there! ) and then stop and get gas, since I am running on fumes...so I stayed home too.

It has been an eventful day! This morning, Kaeleb grabbed Justin's mug of hot Tang off the table and spilled it all over himself. Thankfully, even though it was pretty warm, it was not hot enough to burn him. For some reason, he has been mad at Justin ever since!

BOB: Vigo makes a WHOLE WHEAT bread crumb? I have never seen it! Where do you get it? Add some celery and you got my meatloaf!

TONI: You will have to tell me what you like and don't like on my etsy shop. I get discouraged because I don't sell much, and I wonder why. *I* think it looks nice, and all...but obviously I am doing something wrong.

SPARKLE: We sure are glad to have you join us! I too am a type 2 diabetic. I have to take a few meds, and right now my doctor is messing with my thyroid meds, so my blood sugar is all over the place. I can tell if I cheat- the bg goes right up! Looking forward to getting to know you!

THIN: Can you believe how cold it is? Brrr! You are going to do GREAT with the challenge at school! Your team is gonna win! Yeah! Go for it!

GYM: I love spaghetti squash! It is definitely ok! I am the only one in the family who likes it, so I don't buy it very often.

well today i tried out my total gym. i kind of went through the video and figured out what level/hole i needed to be at for each different kind of exercise. i wrote them all down so that on tuesday hopefully i can do a real workout. i think my current workout plan is going to be alternating a total gym workout (upper body/abs) and walking on the treadmill with tae-bo, which i feel gives a good enough lower body workout in addition to the cardio.

breakfast:
oatmeal with canola butter, cinnamon, splenda, and blueberries

lunch:
salmon patties (salmon, egg, shredded wheat 'n bran cereal)
peas
romaine salad with ranch dressing

snacks:
SF pudding
pear

dinner:
the smallest sweet potato ever with lite butter and steak seasoning
grapes

i'll probably eat more later, but i haven't figured out what yet. possibly some cottage cheese and then some hot cocoa.

monet, i know i need to eat more veggies. during the week i usually do well because i almost always have a big salad for lunch at work. i don't seem to like veggies that are easily snacked on....such as celery or pepper strips. i bought some jicama at the store and tried a little and wasn't too thrilled. maybe it'll be better with some dip. unfortunately my favorite veggie, butternut squash, is a high GI food so i'm trying to go without it for a while.

sparkle2much, welcome to the board! i just started doing SB jan. 2nd.

It's cold here for sure tonight although not as cold as in Green Bay for the game. I can't wait to get in bed (we have a waterbed) and the thermostat was turned up a couple of days ago so it will be so warm!

Monet: I don't have to take thyroid meds, just the diabetic, bp, & cholesterol. My dr hasn't made any changes to them yet.

Not a holiday for me tomorrow, so off to work I go. Hope everyone has a very safe and nice Monday.

Thanks for the welcome!

Just another check in. The Sabres lost to Toronto last night. At least we broke our ten game losing streak, but are probably starting another. Now I'm watching the Packers. Not a great Green Bay fan, but I DO love Brett Favre. I read a great article about him and his wife in Guideposts. I liked him before, but now I think he's awesome.

Today was pretty good for me. I made the kids and Derek pancakes...but I had three slices of bacon and an orange amidst all the maple syrup! Then for lunch I had leftover chili from last night and a big glass of milk and for dinner we had a delicious steak with onions and a gigantic salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I've had loads of water today and am making some green tea to warm up with. Not sure what the exact temp is here, but its in the single digits and enough to freeze your nostril hairs.

We cleaned our bedroom today and sorted out THE CHAIR that has all of our clothes on it and I fished out about six pairs of slippers, that are in the washer now, from under the bed and we rescued our stepper from the closet and I plan to use it every day now...and not as a clothes horse!! 160's, here I come!!

Okay...the kettle's ready!! TTFN!!

Oh, and we had Viggo sightings last week!! Poor guy, his step mother passed away, so he was in town. For those of you that don't know, Viggo Mortensen's father lives around the corner from me and his mother lives in the next town over. There are many Viggo sightings at the post office, library and the grocery store, but I have never had a Viggo sighting. My friend, Marianne had her first sighting last week at the store and spun right in to my shop to tell me about it and said, "What if he comes in for a haircut?" I would die. That's all there is to it. I would just die. But, I don't think I need to worry about that because they say he really keeps to himself when he's in town and I doubt he'd go to my barber shop for a haircut. But it would be nice...

Hey Everyone.

Thanks bob and toni for the ww breadcrumb suggestion. I always throw out the ends of the bread so grinding them up is a great idea. How simple.

Welcome Sparkle..this is the place to be. I just joined myself last week and it's great!!

tech-I know the chair you speak of..once a month I uncover mine. Funny how everything ends up in a heap. i too have (as you put it) nostril har freezing temps. Ha I love that.

Chrgrl-Good luck with the gym. Again props for working out at home.

This Congrats on the weightloss. last week is over..just take each day as it comes. it will be amazing at the end how much 2 pounds here and there add up.

I have to say although my day was "legal" it wasn't by any means good. I did spend 2 hours at the gym..1 hr kick boxing and 1 hr dancing.

Breakfast-1/2 cup fiber 1 and 1/2 c Straw with 1/2 cup milk
Lunch-1/2 c egg whites and broc and cheese oumlet with coffee
Snack-apple
(here is where I went wrong) I was with a friend out shopping so we got sugar free choc waffers and together shared the pack.
Appetizer-2 oz full fat Cheese, ww crackers and grapes
Dinner-2 oz hunk of beef, sugar peas/w shrimp, 1/2 swt pot, salad w/ flax seed no dressing, and broc.
Dessert was SF pudding..but huge amt. (we got the make it yourself kind) I am so full it hurts that will teach me
I actually feel sick..So overdoing it was awful. Im drinking my nightly green tea because we finished the pudding so late im afraid to go to bed yet. Although it's not the worst day i could have had, im ashamed of not having less. That just reminds me that food and I still have a huge battle to overcome.
