I got in late this afternoon, and things are just hopping...the you know what kind of hit the fan so to speak. Tom's truck is in the shop. It has had this same problem for several months. He took it in and they charged him $1200 to fix it back in November. Then he took it back in in December because it was doing it again. They made an adjustment and no charge. Well, now they are telling him it needs an $800 part. He complained. They told him they could do it for a reduced price by using a non-Toyota part. Then they could do it for $450. So he said no, its the same thing they supposedly fixed for $1200...fix it. Free. He called a place that used to work on it, and they will fix what is wrong with genuine Toyota parts for $375!! Man is he mad. He had to work from home today since I was not here to use my car.

Time in the studio went well. We did tests on two new glaze formulas, and are excited with the results. One is emerald green and the other is a beautiful dark blue that breaks light blue. I need to do research and mix up four more next week for tests. I tested an orange commercial glaze to use on BOB's stuff...perfect! I did not get many pieces done, but that is ok. I got very important work done, which is good.

I need to go figure out some dinner for my fam, so will check in later!

Where the heck is everybody?? I was working yesterday and had a GREAT day! Over $30 in tips!! I love Saturdays!!

Monet: I hope the truck gets fixed correctly. What a pain mechanics are. The only thing that gives me hives more than car problems is the mechanics that fix the car problems.

Solly: I find that when Penney's has sales, they really know how to do it right!

BOB: Well, the Sabres won the other night, but lost last night to TAMPA BAY!! But the Colts won their game yesterday. I had on my Peyton Manning jersey and I'll get to, at least, watch them play again next week. Whatever teams win next weekend go to the super bowl!! I hope this is manning's year!!

Okay...oatmeal's done. Time for breakfast!

TECH: Hi! Breezing through. Yesterday was insane. I did get some stuff I needed at the ceramics supply place. Truck is still not fixed, and looks like I will not have a car for Monday or Tuesday. Bummer. I have THINGS to do! (like go to the OTHER ceramic supply place! haha!) Congrats on the great tips! I wish you were near me so I could come to you to get my hair done. I have been hacking off my bangs by myself. I need for my hair to be long enough, or short enough, not to get in the way of my throwing. Long is the way to go..I put it up in a hair tie, and forget it.

Aw, MELF, that is so sad! I hope your back gets better, and the pups are ok.

Good afternoon everyone. It looks like we all had a day off from the board yesterday. I was out most of the day at a ladies dart tournament. We won a few games and lost a few. To-day I was at another mixed tournament. That was a disaster. Didn't do well at all but then we were playing against some of the top players. But it was a fun two days. Better than sitting at home.

Tech - Congrats on the tips.

Melf - Sorry to hear about your puppies. Hope the other ones get better - and hope your back is better soon too.

Monet - That sucks having no car particularly when you need ceramic supplies.. Hope you can get it fixed this time at a reasonable price. Those car mechanics certainly know how to soak the h.....l out of you.

BOB - Working on a Sunday?

Solly - Good going on the sales. It always feels good to get a bargain.

I've got some salmon sitting in water defrosting. I'm going to use the recipe Tech posted the other day. I'm also going to cook some kale. The other day I tried a recipe I found for Crunchy Kale and will do it again to-day as I will have the oven on for the salmon. Line a tray with foil and brush with oil. Cut leaves into wide slices and arrange on tray. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350F. Stir a couple of times while cooking. Ready when green and crisp. Different but good.
