I've moved your post to the South Beach Diet forum. You didn't say which diet plan you are on. Fat Smash also has a phase 1. If you are on the Fat Smash diet, let me know and I'll move this there instead.

Good luck.

I would imagine that's fine as long as there's no sugar (some add it to their soups and sauces). The nice part about SBD is you don't have to limit yourself on good healthy things like tomatoes. In fact, I believe they strongly recommend you get at least 4.5 cups of veggies a day!

Sounds fine, hon! Just make sure there's no sugar hiding if you used canned tomatoes and it's a go. Sound delicious!

Thanks, Suzanne, for moving her!

thanks you guys:hug:
this is my super super tomato basil soup...and yes.... it is awesome!!!:D

1 kg tomatoes, boiled, skinned and pureed.
1 tbspn garlic - pounded
Basil (dry) 2 tspns
Olive oil - 1 spn
Salt - to taste
Pepper - to taste

In a pan, heat the oil, add in the garlic and sauté until brown... not burnt but very well done ( it gives a very good flavour)
Add in the tomato puree and cook..... add in the basil, salt and pepper....
and voila!!!!
no sugar!!!!!:carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do:dizzy:

Sounds awesome. I'm a big fan of anything with tomatoes and garlic.

Soulmia, it sounds Divine! Anyway to convert the Kgs to ounces? Is it a can ? Or a number of tomatoes that you peel and boil? And how many servings does it make?
If we can get more details on it, I'd like to add it to the recipe files!!! :chef: :stir:

Thanks for sharing!

1 kg= ~2.2 lbs which equals about 35.2 ounces!

Schatzi 11-29-2006 12:56 PM

You're a peach Austinsmom!
