Thirsty Thursday Chat
Good morning! You are all invited to coffee or other beverage on the back deck. The sun is just coming up, the robins are chorusing and the loons are hollering as they commute between the lakes. It even smells good out there - I think some tree must be blossoming in the woods. The Girls are just sitting on the patio observing their world and guarding against chipmunks and other fierce critters.
Today is the day my windows FINALLY get installed. The Girls go to doggie day care for eight and the lads are to be here for nine. I have some things to shift around in the back room so need to zip through this post.
I am NOT drinking water, Will someone please boot my butt! I'm still carrying the damn ham water weight! I have a doc appointment later today to get my bloodwork results and he will not be pleased. Maybe I'll just refuse to get on his scale.
Have a super day.
See y'all later.

Mornin' all. Not too much going on today. Meeting a friend for lunch and then after work going to my Thursday night line dancing class. Sometime in May we'll be taking a break for the summer. I'll miss those guys....and the exercise too!
Ruth - Consider your bootie kicked. Just keep repeating water, water, water. I've had a hard time getting all of my water in lately too. Don't know why. Now that the weather's getting warmer, I should be drinking more anyway. Good luck with the windows!
Everyone have a great day!

Morning Ruth, I was going to join you for coffee but you zipped out of here so fast that I missed you! I'm enjoying mine on the patio, too, and enjoying the beautiful morning. It's going to be in the 80s here! I'm playing hookey from Curves, I need to get some things done around here before I go get the girls from school. Those extra pounds I put on over the holiday don't want to leave me, either. Of course the ice cream cone I enjoyed with the little ones yesterday sure didn't help! The washer stopped so I'll be back in a wee bit.

Good morning, Ruth. Looks like you and I are the early birds today. Thanks for the coffee, want a shot of sf caramel syrup in yours . Where is everyone? It's not that early. Yesterday in between teaching classes I decided to drown my stresses in some retail therapy. I spent several hundred dollars and got some cute things. I bought the cutest pair of black strappy heels and a pair of $10 flip flops. I used to have a zillion pairs of black shoes then I went out of my black shoe phase and now am in the all different shades of brown phase....and some white sandal type shoes thrown in too. I found the cutest black top but realized I had no cute heels to go with it. So I remedied the situation ! I also picked up some clothes for my bf since his b'day is in a few weeks. I caved and got him a pair of Levi's but in a more hipper boot cut. I've gotten him so many more stylish pairs of jeans but all he ever wears, unless he's with me, are his traditional straight legged Levi's. They look too tapered at the ankle for me even though they say straight leg. My bf is a real meat and potato, t-shirt and jeans type of guy and I'm always trying to get him to dress a little more hipper. I've gotten him some very nice label jeans but maybe if his jeans say Levi's he's actually wear them. They were on sale too and only $24.
OK, enough about my shopping. Eating was good except for too much salt and I'm swollen but I'll drink a ton today. This mornign for b'fast I'm going to have the almond energy drink but add some papaya to it. I bought this huge papaya at the store last week for $2.49 and I cut it into chunks and put them in the freezer so they'll stay good. Very yummy! Usually any tropical fruit out here tastes nasty but this one is very yummy and actually tastes like a papaya. Coming from HI and growing up abroad I really miss the fruit I used to eat as a child. I remember these things called Chichi's in the Phillipines, they taste like a brown sugar pear. And lychee's and rambutans...anyway!Very yummy!
Anyway, geez I'm chatty today. I better get going, I have to do a write up for a paper then be at campus by 9:15 to help a professor give an exam to @300 students. Have a great day, chickies!

Ok, I'm back. I have a turkey meatloaf in the oven for tonight's supper, and my 2nd load of laundry is in the washer, made myself lunch-to-go, and watered the flower gardens, so now I'm enjoying a cuppa tea and some scrambled eggs with a WW English muffin. It sure feels good to be organized again. I was really getting lazy, and that was making me get lazy with me diet, too. If I don't plan things out, it really messes me up. Part of the blame is due to my allergy meds. It really makes me feel wonky. I should look into getting the shots every spring.
Hi, Jana, ooh, line dancing sounds like fun! I have to work on getting in my water, too. You would think it'd be easier with the warmer weather!
Kiko, sounds like you're busy today!
Pearsy, there's nothing that makes me feel better than a shopping spree! I like your idea of freezing fruit. Maybe I wouldn't have to throw so much out if I did that.
Chipper, I hope "it" makes it through the operation ok.

Just a quick Hello to everyone. Off for my second class of CPR at the YMCA! I won't get out until about 12:30 (IF we get out early) and then I'm back at 4:30 for my shift.
I didn't get to say it yet but CROCK: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you and I want you to give us all tips!!
I was determined (I guess not that) to get back on it yesterday and then about 10pm, our next door neighbor (my MIL), sent over 2 pieces of pie left over from easter. I saw that plate and my eyes got WIDE and I sat and ate a piece of pie. I was doing so GOOD yesterday but I was feeling a little hungry still. BUT I MUST SAY THAT I REALLY NEED TO GROCERY SHOP WHICH I HOPE IS GOING TO HAPPEN FRIDAY MORNING. If I had a can of green beans or some diet dessert or something else, I might not have eaten that pie. It was NOT worth it!!
Congrats to the throwing of the fig newtons also! I forget who wrote it because I didn't have time to read slowly. I need to go dry my hair and get 2 little girls ready to leave the house and be gone in an hour so
HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!

Jana- Line Dancing look like alot of fun,but I could never master it as I'm too crumsy.[have two left feet]Have a great time at lunch and dancing.
Cottage- Sorry for you not losing weight Looks like alots of us beachers are having trouble losing weight, with Easter. Maybe we could have a Spring Challenge, now that the candy bunny is gone. The next major holiday won't be until May. Keep on going like the engergizer bunny.
Pearshape-I settled my shoe problem by buy only 3 colored shoes black beige and white all natural colors that go with everything.

Morning, gals! I read yesterday but never got to post in the daily. I did make it to the gym last night and this morning my weight is back to what it was before Easter although I'm still not as low as my ticket.
We're camping with the scouts this weekend. We had a cold front go through so the highs should be in the 80's which is much nicer than the 101 we had earlier this week. It LOOKS like the rain will be done before we set up our tent tomorrow afternoon - at least I hope so. I'm precooking a lot of stuff to make the weekend easier. Dinner tomorrow night will be jarred spaghetti sauce with precooked WW penne pasta, precooked ground beef and precooked broccoli. Just warm it all up and we're ready to go.
I have sloppy joes in the freezer which will be heated up for one lunch. The other lunch will be ham and cheese quesadillas on the George Foreman grill. Dinner Saturday night will be lamb stew. I'm fixing it ahead of time and freezing it and will bring precooked whole wheat egg noodles to mix in once the stew is heated. Hot food always tastes so good when camping but we rarely have enough time during the campout to cook from scratch. And this way I should be able to stay mostly OP. I am going with the low sugar instant oatmeal. I know it isn't OP but I really would miss my oatmeal. Lots of cut up zucchini for snacks too. And I'm teaching volleyball so I'll get some exercise.
