I know you can buy groats and that they are similar to oatmeal but they aren't a grain. We are going to try groats this weekend but I was wondering if anyone uses Buckwheat (flour?) in anything else.
I try to find something new to try every couple of weeks so I don't get bored with what I'm eating and Buckwheat caught my eye this week.

Groats ARE a grain. They can be made from oats, buckwheat or corn. We are to avoid corn or keep it limited.
I've never used buckwheat flour but it would be OK on phase II as it should be whole grain.
That's interesting Ruth. Everything I have read about groats says that they are from buckwheat and that buckwheat is a fruit not a grain. Will have to make sure I read the lables well this shopping trip. And do a little more searching about it. Thanks.
