Hello all, I found this site by accident on 2/15 while sufing for South
Beach recipes. This is a great site and love all the interesting recipes here.
I just wanted to say hi and hope I can get some help here along the way.
I'm 59 and need to get back in shape for my health. Also to keep up with the grandkids.
I started SB on 1/29/06 and really find it easy to follow--not really hungrey or occupied with food all the time like other plans I have tried. I am new here also and just learning how to use the site but this board seems to be a great place to be--lots of friendly people with helpful ideas. I am also 59 and have gained a "ton" of weight since my hubby and I retired to Florida (Tampa)--so here I am--been doing good so far but will be here for quite a while since I am now 176 (started at 183) with goals of 155 then on to 135 (hopefully). Monday is my weigh-in day and been OP all week so I have my fingers crossed.
Nice meeting you pinkeagle. I know what you mean by piling on the weight. I will be here for sometime also, but like you I have found SB easy to follow. I am divorced for over 16yrs. now. I have been dating a very nice man for 6yrs now and it is nice. He is very supportive and that is helping with this diet.
Hope we can chat and lose together.
