morning all!!

my workout was sidetracked today when my little Calvin was throwing up oj all over my bed, so I figure here comes the stomach bug everyone I know has had. I cancelled my LASIK follow up appt and we've stayed home. Well somebody needs to tell him he's sick, he's running around, banging trucks, doing tae kwon do on furniture, sneaking pancakes from his brother. I'm trying not to give him anything more to spit up but he's just plain old hungry...little fool, lol

So hopefully if he stays like this I can sneak out when daddy gets home and still get a work out in. I hate to start off feb with nothing on my chart.

Last night I was taking off my jeans and just slipped them off without unbuttoning them, lol, needless to say DH was quite impressed, lol. Granted these were my looser comfy jeans but still each small vicotry counts right?!

Hey everyone! This is my first morning post!! LOL! Ok - so my weight has been the same for two days. I lost 5 lbs quick when I started SB last Sat and now it's stalled. So, today - I'm going to stay AWAY from the cashews and pistachio nuts - lol - becaue I am sure they are the culprit! I sent them all out to my husbands office this morning! So - maybe we'll see a change tomorrow!

I haven't had time to read the posts this morning - but I will when I get home - my son has swimming lessons this morning - so we are headed out the door!!

Hi everyone. What early chickies you are!
Did you guys know that Larry the Cable Guy is from Nebr.? I do need to let you know that we DO NOT talk like that, though. It's really just an act. Nebraskans probably have the least accent than any other state- Johnny Carson was from DH's hometown. I just say ya'll and stuff like 'cause it's fun. One time, at bandcamp . . . . No, one time, when I was living in Wisconsin, a lady said to me "I can't believe how you talk, I've only heard people talk like that on t.v.". It's adorable how Wisconsin people talk! Okay, I'm a little defensive.
My new car is ready to pick up tonight!!!! I'm gonna wait till this weekend to get it, though. It's like 2 hours away from here. I'm so excited!
I think I need to put some warpaint on my face because war is about to break out in my office. It's building up. One of the chicks birthdays is today so hopefully it'll hold off until tomorrow. There's lots of sly planning going on. I hate drama! We bought an icecream cake for the chick's birthday & I didn't have a single morsel. I'm so proud of myself!
Does anybody have a favorite kind of sneakers for working out? I'm having trouble finding something that I like.
Later Chicks!

Well ladies I am moved in, and things are about 50% unpacked. I am starting another busy work week/weekend so I will need to really work to get the rest of the unpacking done before my in laws come by to check up on us lol. I am so happy it is a new month. I need to get serious about getting back into shape. The first place I gain weight is in my thighs. DUring the move my thighs basically rubbed against each other until they were raw...hurts so bad. I just cannot stand it anymore. I am so happy and lucky to have a great bunch of girls like you all to be able to support me! Well speaking of that busy work week I better get to it!

beachgal - that is how it goes for me too. If I go to the gym I get hooked and start going more frequently. But as soon as I have had some time away from the gym the laziness sets in.

freaky - running eh? CARDIO!!! Just kidding, you do sound like you were busy. Great job trying to avoid snack day. Hope you feel better.

SCATZI - ahhhh point blank, quite possibly the worst police movie ever rofl.

pear - for a thrown together dinner it sounds really yummy. I have no clue as to how to even begin cooking fish.

beach bum - that is very interesting about the wheat... I did notice that when I would have wheat bread I would always want to consume more of it. Thanks for the tip.

sarah - congrats on being wayyyy ahead of schedule with that bday goal.

ruth - IKWYM about the lousy sleep. MY DH needs to watch tv before he can fall asleep. Last night he watched a movie till like 1:30 AM when I had to be up at 5:50 am this morning!

Sunlit - I did not know you were a reporter. What publication do you work for? My husband and I are both in the newspaper business. He is a sports editor and I am a photojournalist.

Soon - good luck with the cleaning, when you are done you want to come do mine too?

batmomm - I love self, let me look it over and I may be interested in doing it with you! Sorry about the DS, hope he feels better!

Schatzi~ it IS a terrible movie but spectacular eye candy!!!! YUM! LOL!!

Waving HI!!!!!

Tidbit One: I am craving coffee and cookies but they will NOT give my energy, they will deplete my system.

Tidbit Two: On the John Tesh radio show they said:
To burn the calories from ONE, single, tiny Plain Chocolate M&M a person needs to walk the length of a football field( 200 ft).

For some reason this put a very clear pic in my head of how much I eat that I dont burn up or use.

How many calories does thinking or loving burn up??? I do a lot of those.

hey Detemer-
New Balance make some really nice comfy sneaks-just make sure if they are for running/jogging you go to a running store and get a knowledgeable cleark to tell you what you need for your pronation. You don't need to buy them there if they're too much, just learn what size and fit you need and shop around.

Hi chicks! This is a lunchtime drive-by for me. The last couple of days I was busy preparing for a presentation that I had this morning so I wasn't on much. The presentation went GREAT! I got a lot of positive feedback from everyone who was watching. And, OH! I had a big NSV today! I was going in to borrow a projector from the dept offices this morning, and one of the assistants, who I usually just see in passing said, "Wow, you've been losing a lot of weight!" Those always feel wonderful. So now the presentation's done, I can relax a bit more this afternoon.

Have a great day on the beach everyone!

Come on now girls, anything with Keanu in it HAS to be fantastic!!! (OK, I'll give him Matrix and Devil's Advocate, but neither of them were superb because of HIM.)

I'm doing better today than I was yesterday, both at work and emotionally. People are leaving me alone to do my work and not bossing me around or driving me nuts today, and I've had some time to pray about the finances and simmer down a little. I am having a hungry day, but besides that, I'm doing well! Hopefully my chili and yogurt that I just wolfed down will hold me until later on.

I'm going to apply for the Assistant Manager position at the Ultimate Tan today. It's where I tan, and I doubt that the pay is worth my time, but it doesn't hurt, right? The ad has been in the paper for over a week now. Free tanning.... that would be perfect since I have to start tanning late this month for the wedding I'm in. Hopefully the money's good and they'd want me. We'll see.

I'm so excited about volleyball tonight! We have a double-header. It's so fun and such a good workout. I'm hoping my shoulder does ok because it's been hurting me for almost a month now. I still don't know what I've done to it... I'm thinking it's just muscular though.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Lisa

Thanks for the great tips about craving, chickies! I bought a bag of sourdough pretzels this week and I think they might be the problem.

Freaky, I've never heard of anyone not losing their cravings with P1 the first time. I'd suspect that some sugar got in there somehow...try doing it for 3-5 days again, making sure that nothing has any sugar in it...which means not eating out at all. It really does work...I've done it at least 7 times now and every time has worked as long as I really did it and made sure no sugar got in. I hope that helps...being free of cravings is the most amazing feeling ever! Can you imagine seeing platters of your favorite foods and being able to say, "No, I don't want any, thanks." It's really awesome.

Sarah, we were in Tours, along the Loire Valley (went to Chenonceaux and Chenonceau), Paris, and Fontainbleau. Where were you? I loved the walking everywhere...it's amazing!

Stephie, I'm editor of a weekly business magazine. Regional stuff and not where I thought I'd end up, but it's been fun.

Lucky you, though, photojournalism! I have no eye for an artistic shot, otherwise there'd be more pics in my paper!

Steph & Sunlit - I'm in the media business, too. I'm an Ad Exec. for a national, monthly agricultural publication.
That's neat. All we need is a publisher and we could have our own magazine/newspaper. What should we call it?
