Hi everyone. Just a short drive by.
First of all:
This morning was weigh in day and I was down 5.5 pounds. Told my hubby it was weigh in day and he gave me that look. You know the one I'm sure. But he was glad I made him weight also. He was down 7 pounds.
Been doing good on P1 this week no slip ups. Went out to lunch with a friend from work today and had a chef salad. I was really surprised because they let me order it with romain instead of iceburg. It was so yummy. Only bad thing was I probably used a little bit to much dressing but it was worth it. Will just have to forgo my peanut butter/cool whip snack tonight and have some kind of veggie instead.
Hope everyone is having a good OP day.

Weezie,
I'm pretty new to this but you might want to keep track of all the food that goes in your mouth. You'd be amazed at some of the little things you eat that you don't even think of. I had a gain one day last week, then someone on this board turned me onto fitday.com. So I went there and fed in everything I remembered. Well, it was the cup or two of beans over the day that did it for me. 554 calories!!
Now to lose weight you should be around 1200 cals. So even though we don't count calories, you may want to do that until you start losing. Oh, and those nummy little cheesecakes are 177 cals per serving. And one serving to me is just a taste! So watch out for the high calorie choices, because sometimes what we think is a serving is a serving and a half or two.
I also weigh (on my handly little scale) all the servings, that keeps me in line. Heck, it's easy to heap a cup, but when a serving says 4 oz, you cannot fool a scale!
Plus, now I feed everything into fitday. The tiny little bits hear and there add up! Now I'm much more conscious of "grazing". In my mouth, in the computer, cold hard facts staring me in the face.
Good luck

I'm pretty aware of what I eat. I don't graze, and I plan a menu a week ahead of time of what I'm going to eat and how many calories it's going to be per day. Doing WW makes you do that. I know that my breakfast was 2 points, my lunch was 4, my snacks were 1, and tonight I'm going to have a flatout wrap which will be 2, plus some other things here and there (my dinner menu is at home.) I think my body's just not used to me working out so it doesn't know what it's doing right now. I'll get there. I'm just whiney.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! DH and Brian got me exactly what I asked for - the Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper attachment. I'm dying to make the Broccoli Cheese soup to see how well it works. I used the whisk and it was wonderful.
We get our birthday off work which was good since I had to take Brian to the dentist this morning for a filling, tooth extraction and four sealant repairs. By the time he was feeling well enough to go back to school, school was almost over. I had warned his teacher he probably wouldn't be back so she gave him all his worksheets and he just got them finished.
We picked up a wonderful birthday cake and some ice cream made with Splenda. It's Healthy Choice mint chocolate chip and is wonderful. I know I won't be keeping it in the house once it is gone but I'm not worrying too much about what I eat on my birthday. I am fixing a favorite dinner of mine tonight that I rarely make. It is Pacific Seafood chowder with fish and clams. I'll actually use two small red potatoes with it as a special birthday treat and substitute a turnip for some of the other potato. Since I leave out the butter, it is actually a very healthy dinner and really good.
We got the rest of the Christmas stuff put away today. All the yard art and outdoor lights are now put up. I've spent time today reading too. I finished up Nora Robert's Northern Lights. Having the time to read was a birthday present in itself.

Happy birthday Barb!!!!!!! Glad to hear the family got you what you wanted! You seem to be a very involved mom! It is nice to be appreciated!
Gym snobs - there is one at my gym - they call her Suzy Bo*by I won't even go into detail why she got that nickname.
I bought excellent long work out pants at Wallymart. They were inexpensive and they look great and I just pair them with a white tee shirt. I got over my gym shyness after the first month of working with the Personal Trainer. Now there is a little pack of young men who talk and encourage us as we move around the place.
I ate OP all day but I ate a little too much I'm afraid. I'm not going to sweat it though because tomorrow am I'm getting the 2nd installment of having all my black fillings removed and replaced with composite ones. I won't be eating much tomorrow after 9am.
Have a nice evening chicks!

Hey, just checkin' in for teh evening and getting ready to give the kid a bath and get him redy for bed.
May I just say that Gym snobs are the worst. I have in the past actually had verbal arguments with a few in their cute little spandex belly baring shirts. The heck with them. You have to do what works for you. I used to work out at the gym but now with a 5 year old I just everything at home.
Weezle - I feel your pain. I always get soooo discouraged when the scale doesn't move and when it goes the other way I am crushed especially when I have tried so hard. It has caused me to give up many time. Don't give up but don't go crazy and burn out with all that exercise. You Go Girl!!!
Stephie - I saw that you were questioned yesterday about why you need to lose weight becuase your 132 pounds. I get asked that same question all the time and I hate it. The girls at the office act like it's a joke when I am trying to loose a few pounds. They don't understand that it's how I feel about my body that matters and not how my body compares to theirs or how they feel about my size. You weight 132 and are 5'2" - according to the BMI trying for 105 is still in the healthy weight range and good for you for working as hard as it is when your closer to your goal weight. It's funny how it tends to get like reverse discrimination. A couple of ladies at my office were talking about starting to buddy up on working towards getting in better shape and losing weight. When I mentioned that I would like to join in...they laughed..."like you need to lose weight, your skinny already". But I'm not skinny and my clothes are too small and tight and I'm not comfortable in my body...just like them. I tried to talk to a few of them today about their constant comments when I won't go in on that pizza with them for lunch. I hope I've made them understand what it feels like.
And that's my soap box for tonight !!! lol
Hope everyone has had a good day at the beach.

I must have missed that yesterday, Stephie and freaky. I totally know. I'm 5'3 and 140 and people at work are like "Why in the world can't you have <insert yummylicious food here>? You don't need to be dieting." Bite me. I don't need to diet, I need to change my eating habits to good ones and quit giving into temptation because people are waving it in my face and telling me it won't hurt if I eat it. I know what's good for me. I don't care if I don't look fat with my big-*** sweater (scuse the Hebrew) on. Take a peek at me naked and then you'll see the problem. I want to get rid of some fat and tone up. 120 is my goal and that's definitely in my healthy weight range.
Sorry. Soap box over here too.

Barb, so glad to hear that you had a great time celebrating your birthday! Those hand blenders are GREAT. I got one for Christmas and I'm using it all the time already!
