Goodness, busy day!
Finally hied me hence to bed around 3 am, got up again after an asthma attack and had a nice hot shower, then back to bed and finally asleep around 4 am. Since DS is still sleeping a lot (recouping from the flu), I got about 7 hours of sleep despite my late bedtime. Then we ran errands, and I came home and zipped off my pre-submission for my lab. The instructor lets us turn in a portion of our lab in a pre-submit form, then gives us feedback on it so we know if we're on the right track or not. Since she really wants to encourage us to use that, she's giving extra credit this time - so I wanted to get it done! She also gives us extra credit for turning in chapter outlines, and since those are helpful in preparing for the weekly quizzes, I'm doing one anyway.
As for the ice cream - I don't think there is any way to justify or pretend that Tillamook's Mudslide ice cream is okay on the SBD! Plus, it's a real trigger for me. Honestly, cookies would have been better - they probably would've had fewer bad carbs and less fat, and since they aren't a weakness for me, I wouldn't have eaten half of them in one night! According to Keebler's website, 1 Keebler Soft Batch choco chip cookie has: 80 calories, 3.5 g fat, 11 g carbs, and 6 g sugar. The Tillamook Mudslide ice cream (per 1/2 cup) has: 190 calories, 11 g fat, 21 g carbs, and 16 g sugars. Since I ate about 1/2 carton over the course of the night, that would have been seven times that much: 1330 calories, 77 g fat, 142 g carbs, and 112 g sugars! I'd have been waaaay better of with a few cookies! But I'd have been best off if he'd picked up some unflavored microwave popcorn or some ready-to-eat veggies. I think we'll have a little talk tonight about "treats" and my lack of self control!
