Scout - I had a lot more to lose than you and I only lost 4 pounds in phase 1. I think part of it depends on how you were eating prior to staring South Beach. I was on a diuretic so I had no water weight left to lose.

Your success is so ENCOURAGING! I hope I am able to make my goal. I have two kids and with pregnancy number two I gained close to 60lbs. Considering I am barely 5 ft. 2 in. it was a lot of weight for me. The last 15 or so pounds has been really tough to lose! Thanks for listening!
Wow! Thanks for all the encouragement! I'm find the diet easy to follow, but certainly wish that pounds were moving more quickly. I've added exercising and am seeing a little more movement, but not as much as would make me happy! Oh well, slow & steady wins the race, right?
